I am so grateful for the staff here for their loving care, quality age-appropriate education, and their patience with both of my kids. One thing that consistently makes me unhappy is that we have lost some clothing items over the years. I believe other children or even their parents were taking them knowing it does not belong to them. I am purposefully avoiding the word "stealing" as I cannot prove it but it sure does look like it. These clothing items that were lost were new and never recovered. They were also labeled with my child's name on them so I'm just dumbfounded. Although this is something that would normally be enough to knock off a star anywhere, I am choosing not to here. Thankfully it was contained to 3 incidences over a 3 year period. 1 item per year? Not bad I guess. My suggestion is to not bring something you don't want to lose. I did read some of the more recent negative reviews and I am just shocked. Granted, I am not there every minute that they're open but my kids come home happy everyday. I do hope those incidences are one-offs as no business is really ever perfect. I truly love all the staff there and never felt an inkling of inappropriate behavior from any of them. I would never have kept my kids there for as long as I did if it were the case. On my kids' last day there prior to their regular school starting, the teachers made a little goodbye package and I couldn't help but to get a little emotional. It was so heartfelt and personal.... they definitely took the time to acknowledge each of my kids individually. I know they put in this same effort with the other kids in the same situation as us and I find that incredibly thoughtful. This will most likely be my last update. I do plan on bringing my kids back during long school breaks and if anything drastic happens, I'll be sure to update at that time. To Childtime, you have my eternal gratitude!

We love being able to watch him on the cameras whenever we have a break at work. Amber, Allison and all the teachers at childtime run a tight ship and we highly recommend this daycare.

I cried a LOT when I first dropped him off, I was so nervous even though I had done my research. However, my bubs always came home happy and clean with a fresh diaper. They have a policy of changing him if he spits up, so he's never in a soiled onesie. His teachers love him and he loves them. He's always squirming to get out of his carseat when we arrive and straining to get into the building. I was very surprised by these other Yelp reviews, and would urge you to take them with a grain of salt. Part of the reason we chose Sunrise is because it came very highly recommended within my neighborhood. Since we started at Sunrise, my child is babbling more, trying to stand up, improving motor skills, and learning to crawl. So on December 3 at drop off, I asked the teacher Kristen King if he had been crying a lot the day before. She stated "No, I don't think he had been crying a lot." When it didn't make sense for her, not to know if she was the only teacher in the classroom that day. I asked her one more time to confirm her answer and she said again that "She didn't think he cried too much just when he needed a bottle or was tired." So I let it go and I left. As the day goes on, I get a few updates on the app that they promise to update thoroughly but they aren't logging. What type of milk was consumed or how many ounces. They're claiming that he did nap but they didn't log it but to me it looks like he was up for four hours when we arrived to pick him up at 4:45 pm. When we go to pick him up my husband noticed a large scratch on his head. He's gonna ask the teacher that was in there at the moment named Traci, What happened to our son's head? She then replied "I don't know no one hurt him. He must have come in with that." My husband then stated no he did not come in with that. Please note they uploaded a photo on the app that I will attach at 1:55 PM and the scratch was not there. The teacher only stated that she did not know what happened to him. Then, when we got back home, I noticed my son's voice was completely gone which leads me To believe that they let him cry even more on end. His eyes were super puffy as if he had been crying all day long. Other side notes: His last bottle logged was at nearly FOUR hours after he has eaten. He eats every 2 hours. I didn't end up speaking to the director who continuously put me on hold to go talk with the teacher herself, instead of letting me talk with the teacher myself. She was suggesting that there may be something sharp in the carpet, which I then stated that that could be a possibility, especially since Kristen King does not make Parents put on the shoe booties at drop off. She says it's fine. Come on in when my infant is crawling around on the floor and putting his face on the ground. The director inspected the carpet and vacuumed and said nothing came up in the carpet. She stated that they would do better about posting on the app. She still has no answers as to what happened to my son.

We've been taking two children in two age groups to Scottsdale Early Learning Center for over a year. Like most preschools, your experience is only going to be as good as your teachers. Fortunately, SELC has some really nice teachers. The management? Seems fine, but the turnover issues mentioned in other reviews do seem to be ongoing. Clearly this is not a good thing, as any business benefits from continuity, but having motivated teachers like SELC is more important in any case. They provided some awesome school photographs, the best I've ever seen. They took individual shots, but also provided great photos of our kids posing together. We had no choice but to buy the entire packet. Actually, the grandparents had no choice but to buy the entire packet. Not a trendy school. Rather traditional. Basic. Could use a little facelift. But with some rather nice folks working there.

But last Friday my son picked her up and she had bruises on her forehead and a bruised lip. They had nothing written on her sheet as to what happened at all and when questioned no explanation either except she scratched her lip, CLEARLY this is not the case. The director did follow up with a phone call apologizing but still nothing to report as to what happened, when questioned on camera the response was that they were live streaming so no way to go back and look. She will not be going back.

Several of my colleagues and fellow practitioners have their children enrolled at the other Little Scholars location and highly recommended it to me. I am not being paid or incentivized for this review (frankly, I wouldn't need it as previous review suggested)--this is simply my honest experience as a parent who values quality education and safety. I love this school, and the upward mobility it provides for our children within this community. Little Scholars has exceeded every expectation. The teachers are excellent and hold my baby like he is their own. The classrooms are spotless, and the play yard is beautiful and safe. Outside parameter is locked, secured and checked daily. My son is only three, and he's already learning letters, numbers, and beginning to read and write. His speech has advanced far beyond his age, and he's being taught valuable life skills that build confidence and independence. I appreciate the good manners they practice. They worked tirelessly on helping me potty train. They assisted me in the method I chose and were supportive from day one. Children get sick! It is what it is, but its not a reflection of "cleanliness of the place." Cold and flu season comes around and they are sanitizing like crazy. I'm personally thankful for this season as I know my son's immune system will be optimal come grade school. This is not just a daycare--it's a true preschool where children leave testing well above kindergarten level. My friend (another PA) noticed how advanced my child was for his age and opted to pull her two children out of a daycare and place them in a school atmosphere closer to her. She called me yesterday with an update (1st week in school ended) and she told me how impress she is with the change. As such, because it is a school the teachers are paid a salary and closures for holidays/breaks are not with reduced pay so that they continued to get paid. I don't mind this. I respect teachers and believe they deserve more especially when you have such excellent staff you'd do anything to keep them. I wish more schools followed this model. I also want to address a recent negative review, quite frankly the only lone star review (and her only review on yelp). It's clearly a revenge post for her personal vehicle being rummaged through because SHE left it unlocked. The claims about safety and homelessness in the area does not reflect the whole truth. Within the past year the homelessness has taken a significant shift. The neighborhood is rapidly changing. Bellair was bought out, new businesses are moving in building on empty lots (including the lot directly next to the school - adding additional lighting and security cameras to the area). Landscaping and hardscaping by the city has taken place up 43rd ave and the homelessness is starting to move on. I personally have never felt unsafe here even before these changes took place, but I'm happy to see the local improvements. Regardless, the incident mentioned in the other review was due to an unlocked vehicle in the parking lot not a reflection of the school itself. This could have equally happened a the local quick trip, sushi joint or grocery store. The original poster also cross posted this to the Neighborhood app (or FB (?)- this is where I saw the post initially) noting that the police were called but would be late to arrive so she left (they were late to arrive because they were looking for the gentleman that did it). She notes that nothing was stolen. Beyond this, the child was clearly in attendance for a couple of years (per her timeline). I would doubt that if she felt her child was unsafe for so many years she would have kept her child enrolled for that long. It also appears the child tested out end of summer and moved on (likely more advanced and above their peers) and she was refunded the month for her distress this caused her. Seemingly appropriately handled to me... Little Scholars goes above and beyond for children, families and community. We couldn't be happier with our choice, and I highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a safe, nurturing, and academically advanced start for their child. The classrooms felt clean and homey, and my daughter made lots of friends there. It was also one of the most affordable preschool options we found, which was a huge plus. That said, there were some real concerns. Communication and organization were lacking. Dates on the calendar would change, but staff often didn't seem aware of the updates. The school's app was very basic and only tracked sign-ins and sign-outs, without sharing anything about classroom activities. The only emails we received from management were reminders about holidays. We also experienced a lack of communication when it came to incident reports. On multiple occasions, my daughter came home with bumps, scrapes, or bruises, but we were never notified during the school day or given a report about what happened. As a parent, that was concerning because I want to know if she's been hurt, even in small ways. Billing was another ongoing frustration. Invoices were frequently incorrect, and we had to constantly monitor the autopay system to make sure we weren't overcharged. This added unnecessary stress on top of everything else. There was also a lot of turnover in staff. While the core teachers were great, it felt like new faces were constantly cycling in and out, which made the environment feel less stable for the kids. Safety and security were additional concerns. There were no cameras on site that I could see, and we once received a notice hours later about an incident where someone entered the gated playground in the morning. There was no follow-up on what changes would be made afterward. The parking lot also felt unsafe at times, with cars speeding through, homeless individuals passing by, and even a stolen car abandoned one morning while police investigated. Lastly, be cautious when looking at reviews online. Many of the 5-star reviews were part of a raffle the school conducted, which makes the feedback seem less reliable. Overall, the teachers gave my daughter a strong start, and I'm grateful for their care. But the lack of communication, billing errors, staff turnover, and security issues made me uneasy as a parent. I hope the school invests in improving those areas because it truly has potential.

I had received a good referral about them since my child was born and I took a tour at least once a year until I finally had the guts to leave him. He absolutely loves it! Nicole is the sweetest person and didn't mind my constant calling that first day. She had told me not to worry if my son started crying the second day and this made me bite my nails. However, he's never been upset about staying. Instead, he drags me to the door and asks all the time if he can "go to school". He's told me he likes Miss. Rita and has fun with her. Even though he only comes 2-3 times a week, he's introduced by name and all the girls seem to know him very well. I met Sonya for the first time the other day. I don't know if she's ever looked after my son but she was all smiles and there to help improve my son's sour mood (he's not a morning person lol). All in all, I'm very happy here and trust the girls completely. I only gave four stars because my son's a very finicky eater and I'm told every day he eats crackers and fruit but won't eat anything else. I'm not for sure if they're trying to get him to try new things or sitting with him to convince him to eat. When we pick him up he's famished and starving and this is the only thing that worries me. Other than that, two thumbs up. And the review "not recommended" is actually a very touching one. I'd check it out. :)

Ms Tina is a wonderful front desk lady who always has a smile on her face and will help out any way she can. Ms. Destiny is very caring (sometimes nice) funny and has a great team at this daycare. This location is inside of a church, but there's nothing wrong with that, I don't personally go to this church and I am still happy to send my boys to this school. This north campus goes up to 6th grade. My boys are going to be in the preschool/kindergarten class together this year. I may or may not add my youngest to the toddler class this year. I'm still deciding on that. But I know the sooner the better for them. :) My two boys went last year and it was their first year. It was great to see my now 4 year old mature more throughout the year, it's been great to watch. He loves his teachers and they are extremely patient. My boys are very busy busy boys and can know how to push patience, so I thank the teachers for really getting down to their level and helping them flourish. I'm excited to see how this year will be for both of them. I highly recommend this school. Extra info: They offer before and after school programs for parents who need the childcare during their work times. They have several options for toddler classes to help introduce them gently into school. They even have a Spanish teacher that visits weekly, I think that's neat & necessary. They have PE once a week, the teacher is great with the kids, my son has grown to really like him. There is a monthly newsletter which tells you what the kids are learning, how you can help, upcoming school events, etc etc. (I like getting them and knowing about what's going on and how I can donate supplies or time.) Kids bring their own lunches daily and the school like to keep things on the healthier side, so they offer suggestions before the school year starts so parents can plan lunches accordingly. Drop off and pick up is called carpool, parents all line up in their cars 10 min before school starts and the secretary brings a clipboard to the driver to sign in/out the children during those times and the teachers unload the children and will load them up at pick up time as well. It makes a nice smooth transition and keeps distractions down. :) The toddler class helps potty train your child also, which made a giant difference for my almost 3 year old. :) He was potty trained before my first son was. I learned a lot about that and it will come in handy for my youngest boy too. If your curious about this place, go set up a time to tour the school. You'll like it. They wouldn't let my child eat his small pack of Welch's fruit snacks. Pretty ironic they don't allow unhealthy food considering how unhealthy some of them look. They should abide by their own rules and cut back on the unhealthy snacks themselves. If you want your kids enrolled in a backwards school with a cult-like staff full of hypocritical mouth-breathers, this is the place for you. If you're normal and just want your children to receive a solid Montessori style education, keep looking.

After paying for Quarter 3, I was informed by an outside ABA agency that my son's teacher was found sleeping while feeding 12 children with special needs. A student was choking and she had to wake up the teacher. To top it all off I was shown a post of a mother who said her non verbal came home with bruises and marks. When she called the cops they couldn't do nothing because the child was non verbal! Beyond this life-threatening safety issue, the school doesn't follow IEPs which makes them a daycare. They lack basic facilities like a playground. They stopped allowing parents to go to field trips because they lie and tell parents their child did great when they didn't. Despite withdrawing my son immediately due to these hazardous conditions, the owner has refused to issue a refund. This facility prioritizes profit over the safety and developmental needs of children. I would not recommend this school to anyone. If you are looking for a real school that actually supports our children, I highly recommend reaching out to ACCEL (https://www.accel.org/contact-us/). Michelle there is amazing; she discovered that my son's previous IEP didn't even correctly say his autistic!!! After years of being misled, I finally have the support of a behavioral coach and case manager from La Frontera to help me at my next IEP meeting.
