When we started he could only say about 20-30 words. No sentences - just one to two word phrases and lot's of pointing. Having my son come weekly to both speech and occupational therapy has allowed him to make incredible progress. In only been four months and now my son says three - five word sentences! Kim, his speech therapist is a wonderful, kind and sweet therapist that has taken much care in her approach with my son. Sarah, his occupational therapist has taught him to stay calm, to start and finish task and most importantly to be patient and LISTEN to what is being asked of him. Before he could only do one command actions and now he can take three- four layered instructions and complete tasks. His confidence has grown because of his new ability to make sentences and follow specific directions. He is such a happy boy now. Thanks to Sarah and Kate we also found out about his food allergies that were hindering his progress. They are not doctors but advised me to check with my pediatrician to make sure if any allergies were present and sure enough he is lactose intolerant. This was so helpful in that I know what food and drinks I can buy for him that will help him. At first glance of this place, it was clear to me that it's is a state of the art facility. The place is immaculate and the variety of rooms/methods/toys were superior to their competitors. The staff is wonderful. They have an open door policy so that if I stay in the lobby and wait, I can hear everything my son is doing and saying! Sarah has given me excellent advise on how to keep up with therapeutic methods at home. Including methods on how to talk him through anxieties and meltdowns. Kate has given me excellent advise on how to approach my insurance company to make sure we are getting the right kind of coverage and allowances. Children's Therapy Connections is the best place to come for occupational and speech therapies. They care about the whole person, for that matter the whole family. They are professionals that have been instrumental in helping my son.

My mama heart knew that time was not going to be the fix so I started calling therapy providers for help. Every place I called was enthusiastic until they found out I didn't have the 'right' insurance. The only place that did not close the door in my face was CTC. They evaluated my son for Speech and Occupational concerns and suggested a treatment plan that would fit my budget for a couple months until November, when I could apply for better Health Insurance coverage. Months later they suggested my son get evaluated by a neuropsychologist and referred me to a top rated Doctor that was In Network with my insurance and did not have a lengthy waitlist. I believe I waited 3 weeks for our appointment. The results of that evaluation were devastating, and I was quickly overwhelmed, feeling lost and heartbroken. But I was not alone. The therapists, technicians, administrative staff and even the owner of the clinic supported and guided my son and I into our new reality with the utmost compassion and care. They did not simply provide the therapy my son needed. I was provided parent training through observation, participation and private meetings with my son's therapy team. They taught me to understand my son and how to parent a child with different abilities. I was introduced to the parent support group where for the first time I was among parents that were in the same boat and faced the same challenges at home and out in the world. These other parents are now my best friends...and their children are my sons' friends. We look forward to playdates, park meet-ups and birthday parties where before I was afraid of or shy'd away from these activities. I am proud of how much progress my son has made with thanks to his dedicated therapy providers at Childrens therapy connections and I am grateful for the support and community they have given us. If you have a child that you suspect is delayed have them evaluated at CTC. There is a shortage of Therapy for children across the board so if you are going to be waitlisted anywhere you call, this is the waitlist you want to be on.

Little You is a center for speech, occupational, and developmental therapy that offers both group…read moreand individual therapy. They work with a variety of children; when my son went to therapy here, he had therapy classes with children who had autism, non-specified developmental delays, articulation disorders, and so forth. In other words, your kids will rub shoulders with a diverse array of others which, I have learned, is a good thing. Little You helped prepare my son for school; he was not ready for routine--not at all!--and we were happy with that. Unfortunately, our insurance changed, and we now have to travel to the North Side for services, but it's the staff (more than the location) that we miss about Little You. The staff has a wealth of experience and professionalism that I have yet to see matched elsewhere. Many (if not all) of the speech therapists have worked or also work for Early Intervention. About two years ago, they built a brand new building, and though they had a gym in their last building, they have an even larger gym now to help facilitate all that socializing and speaking, not to mention the fun of simply being a kid.

While most were polite, the lack of coordination among the staff stood out to me. I hope they can improve their facility space and organizational skills in the future to provide a better experience for patients. I don't feel that I experienced that. I found a clinic that I feel is a better fit for the sensory and feeding concerns I have for my child.

I've received no guidance with regard to visits, personal property or facility norms. You call and the phone will ring all day with no one answering. If someone does answer, they rush you to someones voicemail. This is how they thank you for entrusting them with your loved ones care. Think twice before considering this location. UPDATE: FINALLY received an e-mail response from the 'Admissions Director' (after trying several times to contact her via e-mails and voicemails). And of course, stating that she never received previous messages. Uh huh. The 'Facility Administrative Director' has his phone number posted on the bulletin boards in the facility but is completely useless and never even gives families the common courtesy or respect to returns phone calls. The actual hands on staff seem nice enough but the standard response is nobody knows anything and they will always have one of the Directors and/or Administrators give you a call. Wait for that call sitting down because you will NEVER get it. Disrespectful.

Very unprofessional from staff. There is constant cursing and staff talking to the residents rudely. My fiancé has been struggling with health issues for months and recently sought treatment at this…read morelocation. Before going, they confirmed his insurance would be accepted while setting up the appointment and cover his appointment at 100%. A few days later he goes in for his appointment, which he was told again was covered 100% by his insurance. About a week later we received a call saying they don't take his insurance actually at all and we now have to pay $150 dollars out of pocket. We were busy at the time and didn't have the time to deal with issue or talk to them right then, so we decided to call them later to dispute this issue as it seemed a little fishy. Then today, just 4 days since they called us last, they called us again saying that we owed them $150 and if we don't pay ASAP they will increase it to $500. When I tried to explain to person we spoke with that we were told the insurance was not only accepted by covered it at 100% several times, she then started talking down to me explaining as though I was a six year old child trying to explain deductibles to me all while failing to realize their is no deductible on his health plan. So after having enough of this employee try to poorly describe what deductibles are to me for a plan that has none so it's not relevant at all, I thanked her time and told her I would go above her head to speak to someone who actually knows what's going on. After this pathetic attempt at customer service from the location, we contacted corporate who immediately made sure they understood our situation and would do everything in their power to resolve it as quickly as possible. They forwarded the information to the director for review and we are waiting to hear back. The only reason I am adding a second star is because the corporate customer service was polite, friendly, and wanting to help as opposed to the absolutely arrogant attitude of the employee we spoke to at this specific location.
