When we started he could only say about 20-30 words. No sentences - just one to two word phrases and lot's of pointing. Having my son come weekly to both speech and occupational therapy has allowed him to make incredible progress. In only been four months and now my son says three - five word sentences! Kim, his speech therapist is a wonderful, kind and sweet therapist that has taken much care in her approach with my son. Sarah, his occupational therapist has taught him to stay calm, to start and finish task and most importantly to be patient and LISTEN to what is being asked of him. Before he could only do one command actions and now he can take three- four layered instructions and complete tasks. His confidence has grown because of his new ability to make sentences and follow specific directions. He is such a happy boy now. Thanks to Sarah and Kate we also found out about his food allergies that were hindering his progress. They are not doctors but advised me to check with my pediatrician to make sure if any allergies were present and sure enough he is lactose intolerant. This was so helpful in that I know what food and drinks I can buy for him that will help him. At first glance of this place, it was clear to me that it's is a state of the art facility. The place is immaculate and the variety of rooms/methods/toys were superior to their competitors. The staff is wonderful. They have an open door policy so that if I stay in the lobby and wait, I can hear everything my son is doing and saying! Sarah has given me excellent advise on how to keep up with therapeutic methods at home. Including methods on how to talk him through anxieties and meltdowns. Kate has given me excellent advise on how to approach my insurance company to make sure we are getting the right kind of coverage and allowances. Children's Therapy Connections is the best place to come for occupational and speech therapies. They care about the whole person, for that matter the whole family. They are professionals that have been instrumental in helping my son.

When my son was 18 months old and showing signs of delays I was told by the pediatrician, my family…read moreand friends, etc that boys take longer and to wait it out. My mama heart knew that time was not going to be the fix so I started calling therapy providers for help. Every place I called was enthusiastic until they found out I didn't have the 'right' insurance. The only place that did not close the door in my face was CTC. They evaluated my son for Speech and Occupational concerns and suggested a treatment plan that would fit my budget for a couple months until November, when I could apply for better Health Insurance coverage. Months later they suggested my son get evaluated by a neuropsychologist and referred me to a top rated Doctor that was In Network with my insurance and did not have a lengthy waitlist. I believe I waited 3 weeks for our appointment. The results of that evaluation were devastating, and I was quickly overwhelmed, feeling lost and heartbroken. But I was not alone. The therapists, technicians, administrative staff and even the owner of the clinic supported and guided my son and I into our new reality with the utmost compassion and care. They did not simply provide the therapy my son needed. I was provided parent training through observation, participation and private meetings with my son's therapy team. They taught me to understand my son and how to parent a child with different abilities. I was introduced to the parent support group where for the first time I was among parents that were in the same boat and faced the same challenges at home and out in the world. These other parents are now my best friends...and their children are my sons' friends. We look forward to playdates, park meet-ups and birthday parties where before I was afraid of or shy'd away from these activities. I am proud of how much progress my son has made with thanks to his dedicated therapy providers at Childrens therapy connections and I am grateful for the support and community they have given us. If you have a child that you suspect is delayed have them evaluated at CTC. There is a shortage of Therapy for children across the board so if you are going to be waitlisted anywhere you call, this is the waitlist you want to be on.

My personal experience, as well as the experiences of my family members at this facility has been very positive. The facility's Administration has an open door policy and has been willing to listen to issues or concerns I had or my family members had, and then quickly addressed them. Staff members, from Nurses, to CNAs, to Housekeepers and Maintenance have been highly responsive and attentive, and the facility is kept very clean. The facility also has an excellent Physical and Occupational Therapy staff who really go out of their way to work with the residents who receive therapy. I would give this facility a 5 star rating except they need to improve the food menu, and improve the resident call-button response time.

If you can request these individuals to help care for your love one, please do - Annette (don't judge a book by its cover because it might be Mighty), Rose ( personable and attentive) and Kayla ( her words matches her action). These phenomenal women should be recognized and awarded for their bravery to work at this facility, their patient care and their commitment to helping others, their kindness, and despite their working conditions - because personally I would've been quit this place, but I am so very grateful they didn't because I would not have survived the hospice transition for my family member. Also the front desk staff are helpful and not bad themselves!

I was recommended to this woman owned business from my podiatrist who has a business near the area…read more I decided to try them in November, 2024. I was shocked how large this facility is. I have been to prior physical therapy business where there was only 1 therapist who dealt with you solely and I have also been to other therapy businesses where there are several therapists to choose from to get your therapy. I feel it's only fair to break down this review/rating into categories: Location: 2 stars - convenient Beverly location with ample parking in their private lot. I didn't feel comfortable parking in the lot - although there are tall light posts back there, they don't come on and it's completely dark in the lot. I would try my best to park on the side of the business but it's limited parking over there and they had started construction in that area as well where temporarily you couldn't park in those spaces. Treatment: 4 stars - physical therapists really work hard to help your condition. They thoroughly massage the injured area, give you exercises at the facility and at home. I feel the treatment did help my foot quite a bit. I didn't like the fact that even though I could of had an appointment with my scheduled therapist, if they were still working on someone, another therapist would guide you as to what your therapist notes are to do until your therapist is available. Staff: 2 stars - front desk staff was nice and friendly. The physical therapists were friendly as well which I could appreciate. What I didn't like is the unprofessionalism that not all but a few of the therapists had. While I would be getting my massages, certain therapists would be talking negatively about other clients out in the open by either saying their name outright or using first initial, last initial in front of everyone. I was also directly given information from two therapists about patients there (who they liked, who they didn't) and as a client, I shouldn't be told about any of that, it made me uncomfortable. I'm not going to be trusting that when I'm not around that I won't get talked about too and it's a valid concern. Staff needs to have a level or professionalism and be very careful also what's talked about due to HIPAA laws. Privacy: 1 star - The facility is built very well - each station had a table with a surrounding curtain to use for privacy but they were not being used most of the time (I only saw it used once while there). I saw body parts that I shouldn't of seen (e.g. a man's fully bare hairy chest (and he was a big man). These curtains should be used to give the privacy necessary for who is being treated and other clients around. That's what they are there for. Equipment: 5 stars - There is all kinds of equipment there to help you with whatever ailment on your body you have from exercise machines to balls to ultrasound machines for massage/pain therapy. I'm glad this business was able to help me but I do hope the things mentioned can be worked on because they are serious issues that can make or break someone continuing to use this facility.

My experience with Ignite Medical Resort Dyer was extremely disappointing and concerning. Based on…read morewhat I observed during my loved one's stay, I believe the facility falls far short of the standard of care and professionalism that its name suggests. On the very first day of admission, there was a cloth chair in my loved one's room that appeared to have dried human waste on the armrest. I immediately brought this to the attention of the staff. After investigating, I was assured that the chair would be removed right away. However, three days later, the chair remained in the room. Throughout the stay, the level of care, responsiveness, and bedside manner displayed by many of the nursing and CNA staff was unacceptable. The facility appeared to be understaffed, and there was a noticeable lack of urgency when patients required assistance. On numerous occasions, we used the call button to request help for my loved one. Not once did a nurse or CNA respond to the call button in a timely manner. Each time, a family member had to physically walk to the nurses' station to request assistance before anyone responded. My loved one shared a room with another patient, and I frequently overheard that patient calling out for help. She could often be heard moaning, groaning, and asking for assistance for extended periods. When staff eventually entered the room, I was shocked to hear them scold the patient, telling her that she was "always calling" and that she "didn't want anything." Witnessing this interaction was deeply troubling and demonstrated a lack of compassion and respect for a vulnerable resident. Another concern was the apparent lack of engagement with residents. Many elderly patients spent entire days sitting near the nurses' station with little to no interaction from staff. They appeared isolated, disengaged, and unhappy. The most disturbing issue occurred when I noticed what initially appeared to be clumps of dirt or lint along the wall behind my loved one's bed. Upon closer inspection, I discovered that the area was covered with hundreds, if not thousands, of ants crawling along the wall and throughout the room. I immediately reported the issue to staff. One CNA responded by saying, "Well, I just got here." A nurse then acknowledged that she had already informed the day aide about the ant problem. This indicated that staff were already aware of the infestation, yet no action had been taken to resolve it or relocate the patient. When I expressed my concern and disgust regarding the situation, the nurse rolled her eyes and told me that I should contact maintenance about the ants. I found this response unprofessional and inappropriate, especially given that the issue involved patient health, safety, and sanitation. My final negative interaction occurred during the discharge process. The nurse manager reviewed my loved one's discharge instructions and medications. When I asked questions regarding follow-up medications, I was met with visible irritation and an unwelcoming attitude, as though asking questions about my loved one's care was an inconvenience. I strongly believe the facility should reevaluate its hiring practices, staff training, accountability measures, cleanliness standards, and responsiveness to patient concerns. Patients and families deserve compassionate care, professional communication, and a clean, safe environment. The one positive aspect of our experience was the therapy department. I did observe meaningful improvement in my loved one's therapy progress, and the therapy staff appeared dedicated to their work. They were the bright spot in an otherwise disappointing experience. I was relieved when my loved one was discharged from Ignite Medical Resort Dyer. Based on my experience, I would not choose this facility again. I encourage families with loved ones in nursing homes or rehabilitation facilities to visit frequently and remain actively involved in their care. Photos and videos documenting the ant infestation are below.
