I've always found him to be incredibly responsive and I'm sorry others have not felt the same way. On a late Saturday night (10pm) I was rushed to the ER in Boston with a diagnosis requiring emergency surgery. I was able to get in contact with Dr. Beaulieu on his day off to discuss what the situation meant for me. He was able to provide information for me to make an informed decision on next steps. He also has provided recommendations for specialists that I would also highly recommend. Even though I've moved into the city proper, I still will travel to Swampscott for an appointment. I feel as though that willingness speaks volumes.

Twice now the good doctor has helped us on a whim with a crucial medication adjustment for our autistic child. The nurses who called us back and told us to increase his doses on Dr Pilz behalf both times neglected to document it nor did they call the pharmacy to adjust his prescriptions. This resulted in us running out prematurely which severely impacts our son in a severely negative way. We will continue to use Dr. Pilz because we can tolerate that type of behavior, but those without patience beware. Restructuring the staff to a more attentive pleasant group may be a good move for the practice.

I did not appreciate how condescending and dismissive she was toward me. Terrible bedside manner. I finally switched to Dr Daniel Carson. What a nice guy. My son felt comfortable with him and I always felt respected and heard. He always listened carefully and didn't rush us. I didn't care much for some of the nurses that worked there and the woman at the front desk, there was maybe one or two who were polite and kind. The others? If you're that miserable that you need to be rude to patients, consider getting a new job! I wouldn't say this practice is terrible, they can get you in quickly for sick visits and not all the staff and doctors are bad! They have a "sick" side in the waiting area which doesn't make a lot of sense since you have to walk through it to get to the well side. Only one entrance/exit. That always made me scratch my head. If you're desperate for a pediatrician, sure go here. I wouldn't make it my child's permanent health care provider that's for sure!

Dr. Shulman's office is modern and welcoming, and the time and attention afforded by the DPC model has been really beneficial to us. Our first visits at her new practice allowed her the time to finally get to know more about us as people, listen to our concerns, and provide whole health assessments and insights. Yelp My kids have…read morebeen attending this practice for over 6 years now. It was a great experience at first but it has gone downhill since 2020. I have been completely understanding of the shortage in staff and have been very flexible but I have not felt like this had been reciprocated. I had an incident where I had switched insurances and didn't have my insurance card yet so I called with the information prior to the appointment. I got to the appointment and they didn't have the information even though I spent 20 minutes on the phone days before giving them the information. They told me they didn't have any record of my phone call with the office and I felt very gaslighted. They proceeded to make phone calls or look on different date bases to see if they could find the insurance information while I called the insurance to get the new number. I over heard a front desk person ask another front desk person to look under mass health. I then said I knew it wasn't mass health because it was insurance through my place of work. They looked at each other and disregarded what I had said and one of the women said "look under mass health anyways". I am a Latina woman so you can understand how that made me feel disrespected. Not only because I wasn't heard but also because I was stereotyped and even if I was on mass health the interaction would have been enough to make me feel bad about that which is never ok. I have not had an appointment on the time of the appointment for at least 2 years now. They are unorganized and have no understanding or flexibility even though this is a pediatric practice. I am now having to allot 2 hours for appointments to account for the wait time but they will make you pay a $50 fee and won't see your child if you are more than 9 minutes late. Even though I have sat in my car for 25 minutes waiting for them to call me to let me into the building for an appointment. Unrealistic and unprofessional. I will be changing our pediatrician, not because of the doctors or nurses because they have been wonderful but the front desk service is terrible and disrespectful.
