Our sons loved Loved LOVED Kids Empire! From the very get-go, they sprawled around in the ball pits, climbed on the foam obstacles, ran rampant through the multi-level jungle gym, and danced/partied in the "rave room" with Huggy the Dragon! They were wiped out by the end of it! For $20/child (one adult included with each admission), we spent several hours here, letting them play to their heart's content. No reservations are required, unless you are making special arrangements to hold a party here (and bring in outside food), which is great for anyone who just wants to drop in and let their kiddos burn off some steam. There are a few (optional) features that require paying an extra fee, such as the go-carts on the track that winds about underneath the play structure, but our boys didn't even pay them any attention: If it wasn't for randomly walking by while doing some Christmas shopping a couple months ago, we never would have known it was here. But now that we do, I guarantee this won't be the last time you'll see our sons running amok in here! read more

The overall experience for the kids is really good. They come and play, meet new friends, and always want to come back. For that, I'm super grateful. I have every bit of praise for the overall design of the experience for the kids. For the grownups, well, there's a distinct level of distrust that they aren't mature enough to be trusted. To their credit here, this is indeed the case with some parents and the rules at Kids Empire are clearly the product of that tension between entitled parents with spoiled brats being horrible people and a company trying to do its best to provide a service to the community. The floor is "socks only - no shoes". I get that's important for protecting everyone playing in the play structure and the structure itself - and no doubt a number of parents couldn't care less about what the rules are. But, let's be real - as a parent with well behaved kids and myself very respectful of the equipment - I expect a little more trust that I might care enough to wear my shoes at the table in seated at and that I won't wear them in the play structure. The floor is solid concrete and very cold. It's winter. I, like many, have cold feet and wear shoes to keep my feet warm. So, I was surprised that staff was so adamant that I not wear shoes while sitting at my table despite my promise to take them off if I go into the play structure. I very calmly let the second staffer that asked me to take my shoes off know my cold situation and even offered an explanation of my medication that causes my extremities to get quite cold easily - to which she left and returned in a huff insisting I wear a blue band labeling me as "handicapped so she wouldn't get in trouble when her boss comes in" (her words). No politeness. Just rudeness. Rather than make a scene, I instead just went along with it. Just as well, it's not that big of a deal. As someone who has been in customer success for over 30 years, I'm disappointed that this is how the staff are trained (or perhaps not trained) to handle what could have been a really positive interaction. By that, she could have asked me why I didn't want to take my shoes off and then let me know that it wasn't a problem while I was sitting at the tables and if I would mind wearing a wrist band so the rest of the staff knew I was already cleared. All awkwardness would have been eliminated. Will I be back? Absolutely. My kids love the place and I won't let one poorly trained staffer ruin my day. Life is too short. That said, I do hope the management will read this and agree with me that this situation should have been handled differently. Set these young adults working in their emporium up for success. read more

Pretty cool large jungle gym for the kiddos in Gresham. I went with my two younger nieces and they seem like they were having a blast. There is one spot for toddlers and the worker told us we couldn't go in there, they acted like she was big enough on her own (she is 2) or we weren't allowed to play with her. It makes sense, but it's hard not to help her play. The other area is for larger kids and seemed too 'advance' for the 2 year old. My 8 year old was having a blast climbing up and going down the slides. I even did it a few times and I was tired! They also have little 'go carts' that you have to load up a card to pay (kind of spends) they go about 5mph. We were there for a couple hours. They have snacks and drinks for purchase, but not really food-food. They do birthday parties which is neat. You also have to sign a waiver and the kiosks were a little glitchy trying to fill it out. read more

Before we get into this, full disclosure, I'm a hearing impaired veteran, I'm writing this for other people that have similar issues and for the company to consider in their growth. Upon entry I see an area that is very tidy and well kept, I didn't get the white glove out but I had no problems with cleanliness. The waiver process was easy the cost for one visit was inline with your average playhouse. Finding seating was limited there were at least two parties, leaving only a few options that were clean and ready to go, and when I say clean I do not mean unkempt, I simply mean nobody was sitting at them or leaving their belongings there. My feet are cold, wood plank flooring in a large space, they don't allow shoes on the floor and I must say that policy is curious. I sat next to the manager unknowingly, he was doing what appeared to be a site evaluation and critiquing his management team in short reviews, I personally didn't feel it appropriate to talk shop on the floor, but I'll go into that more later. They were speaking to the team on walkie talkies because the music was too loud to talk at a normal level even face to face and each employee had their mic at different volumes which was strangely militaristic only that it brought me back to my service days talking to platoons and coordinating movement and avenues of attack, it was quite surreal, so if you can imagine loud concert level music, screaming kids, hot mic conversations, yelling critique, this is where I'm at, completely overstimulated. The manager after a time completed his site review and proceeds to take back lead over the place, noticing I'm writing a review or not I'm not sure he began by checking with the tables about their happiness, and working my way, I'm a very honest person and I welcome his curiosity, discussing each of these points, I believe he genuinely wanted to know if there was a fix for any of my concerns. It is clear to me that he cares about the success of this business, in credit to him, I would want someone like this running my business in most respects. He told me the company had a policy of wanting the space to be largely play, there is not office space for him to counsel his team, the speakers which are concert type speakers are supposed to be no louder than 85 DB I personally experienced sound up to 92 DB but likely those were kids screaming, in my dealing with my disability have a hard time being in anything over 75 DB, and I think the company should consider that pounding little ears with 85 DB continuously comes with a certain level of responsibility. Here are my suggestions for the company, moving forward. -Make this manager a district or put him on that path, the value of a manager to take time to listen to a person whether he fully understands is key to the success of a business and he's doing that with his team, make his team bigger. -reassess your site design, there needs to be a place for the team to pull off and coach or be coached. -build a sound dead room for parents and children who need to unwind not leave, you have plenty of places to be loud, sometimes a parent or child needs to take a moment or take time to unwind without taking their other kids away from the fun. -the floor is very cold, especially in cold wet climates, the beauty of wood floors is lost on cold feet. -provide hearing protection, free/for sale you as a business have a responsibility to the demographic you invite. -Walkie talkies come with ear pieces and mics, keep the conversations more private and less intrusive, I shouldn't be a part of every conversation in the place no matter where I am and I don't need more noise penetrating my skull. -you need a monthly subscription, as a single parent I cannot justify bringing my kids here instead of skyzone when I can go there anytime I want for one affordable fee per kid or family rate. In closing I don't want this to be seen as a negative review, my son had a lot of fun and that's why I came, in the end you're catering to me, not my kid, because it's my money you want. read more

We hosted my child's 7th birthday party at Kids Empire in the Gresham location and had a wonderful experience. The location was great, especially on a Friday night--we felt like we almost had the whole place to ourselves, which made a big difference. Because it wasn't packed, we were able to comfortably use four tables even though two were already decorated for us. Our party hosts, Haley and Elijah, were amazing. Elijah in particular kept me on a schedule the entire time, which made the experience very stress-free as a parent. Both hosts were kind, helpful, and attentive, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The kids had an absolute blast. They loved Huggy the Dragon and the dance party--those were definite highlights. The facility was clean and well-maintained, which I really appreciated. It is on the spendy side, but it's comparable to other similar indoor play areas. If it's within your budget, I would definitely recommend it. References current visit and past. Only open 45 minutes handicap stall completely out of toilet paper. Last visit it was very crowded. Older kids running over the little, zero workers monitoring the play area. One needs to stay up by soccer area and at least one down walking around looking and monitoring. We are aware that while playing we must wear socks. When we arrived we all needed to use restroom. We' were made to take our shoes off to walk 20 feet to put them back on to use the restroom. Haley greeted us with professionalism and respect . She answered questions about the facility and welcomed us. We watched in 2024 with anticipation as they worked to complete it. Very friendly and helpful staff! Incredible indoor playground (they have a separate area just for 3 years and younger which is really nice). No outside food is allowed to try to keep the area clean and safe for everyone, but you're allowed to leave and come back anytime without any additional cost. The staff walk around to ensure kids are playing safe and they are there to help. My kiddo skinned their ankle and staff member Hayle was quick to help us out. She brought ointment and a band aid and then checked in with us to make sure we didn't need anything else. read more

We love that this place just opened up, both my kids enjoy it! They have a great toddler area and a bigger climb area with a couple slides. We have been twice now. The second time was on a Saturday around 1030-noon and we were shocked to only see 2 people working then with it being the weekend and even having birthday parties going on. Myself, husband and sister in law all slide right off the mats after the slide. I wish they put extend the padding so you aren't sliding on carpet. I don't make common practice of reviewing local small businesses in a bad way because as a business owner, I understand the struggles and how difficult it can be. With that said this company is mismanaged misrepresented in all around a poor business. Edgar, the manager does not understand customer service nor does he understand the repercussions of his actions. His actions today lost them to business of a 40 person birthday party, the continued business that all of those families represent, and crushed a 10-year-old girl's birthday. I don't take this review lightly, but the actions that this company has taken today were egregious disgusting and I felt obligated to share that information. I would not recommend supporting this company in any way until the design a better customer service and management system. read more
