I LOVE Red Sunset Park in the fall for photo shoots! I am a professional photographer and have done so many sessions here. There is a small gazebo in case of rain. The bridge is really cute. The leaves are stunning.

There is a nice duck/ geese pond.

My daughter plays soccer here during the fall and spring. It's a pretty nice park. It is located near the border of Troutdale and Gresham. There are two soccer fields here and a nice little trail that goes around the entire park. There are also bathrooms. The playground has swings and a slide for the kids. The pond is very nice and plenty of geese and ducks can be seen swimming in the water. I have seen plenty of kids feeding the ducks during the many times we have had games here. The parking lot isn't great but there are two parking areas to choose from.

My daughter has softball practice here during the spring. It has a nice open field , a basketball court. I love that I can take my son on bike rides around the park while waiting for my daughters practice. It has a nice little dick pond near the park & a covered area with picnic tables. One of our favorite parks in the area to visit.

Our greyhound, "Pretty" loves this park!

Hogan Butte Nature Park - Nice little loop with great views!

To get here, you drive through a fancy new neighborhood. There is free parking. Walk up the asphalt…read morehill (or drive to the top for drop-off and ADA parking) to a very short paved loop trail. A few benches and picnic seats are available, as well as some educational signs about the area. From the top elevation of 930 feet, you can see Mt Hood, Mt St Helen's, Mt Adams, Mt Rainier, the Gorge, and the city of Gresham... if it's a clear day. If not then you've got great views of the trees. Near the parking lot is a 1928 house with a neat history as a speakeasy. Would be cool if they opened it up for tours or private events! There is a restroom at the top.

This spot gets 5-stars for: - The incredible views of up to…read more6 mountain peaks on a clear day. It's a small park, so if it's cloudy, there isn't much else to do here and you may want to save it for another day. - Being completely ADA accessible with the ability to drive up to the top to drop off individuals who can't make the steep walk up to the top, and there are 2 handicap parking spaces at the top as well. - Paved path circling around the top, with a low-rise so you can easily navigate with someone in a wheelchair or walker. - There's a small restroom facility at the top. - One covered picnic area, at least one other picnic table, and some benches. - Informational signage around the park explaining the history and wildlife of the area in 3 languages (English, Spanish and, I believe, Russian). - Engraved metal plaque & stones at the lookout point showing you exactly where to look to see each mountain peak. -Small parking lot at the entrance/bottom of the park.
