I highly recommend bringing a camera with you when you visit this cool place. Plus, there's a great path that winds through a forest, and I thought it was an amazing opportunity to take some photos of the plants there; I could imagine the scenarios featuring the forest as a part of the Black Forest in the fairy tales I like to read sometimes, such as Little Red Riding Hood with the Big Bad Wolf (except different, of course). Wow, pretty incredible park!…read more They've got a ton of pavilions and picnic tables for gatherings, a really fun splash pad, a paved three-quarter pathway around the park exterior, various sports field including volleyball/tennis/basketball/horseshoe, THREE fenced dog parks for big dogs and small dogs and both, new play structures, and acres of wetlands with a boardwalk path. Only feedback to make it better: 1. Currently they're doing construction on the sports field, so there's large empty dirt patches between areas of the park. 2. The boardwalks over the wetlands could use a map. I got a little lost!

We're taking tiny, but that's where I spent most of my time. Unfortunately it was in a pretty major state of disrepair when I visited, with lots of yellow tape everywhere, open trenches in the ground and plants and trees waiting to be planted. The wooden bridge over into the garden was cool though and I feel like it will look 90% better in the spring.

It's 16 acres adjacent to an elementary school…read more It has a soccer field, basketball court, a skate park area, multiple playgrounds, two parking lots, a community garden, a fenced off leash dog area, lots of open grassy areas, a covered pavilion and additional uncovered picnic tables, restrooms, and paved and gravel pathways. Because it is so open with such young trees, this makes for a great place to hang out when the sky is doing interesting stuff (sunrise, sunset, cool clouds, etc). The park has great views of both Mount Saint Helens and Mount Hood.
