The fact they want parents to not come in the building with under age kids is crazy. The wait time is always long, staff unprofessional

I had to get my child out of school early because you can't be late. We waited about 30 minutes for the dental hygienist who was very sweet, named Barbara. She took time to let my son look at her tools before using them, she even offer a choice of flavored for the toothpaste. Another, thirty minutes before we saw the the Dr., who was very nice and very professional, but we were kept waiting too long in an empty room. We read all of the books I brought with us multiple times. My child was tired and hungry by the time he was seen. I don't blame the service providers, as much as The scheduling , but it would have been much better to just make an appointment for 3 or 3:30pm if we when we didn't leave the office until after 4:30pm. I requested a private room, but I expected to be seen promptly. We will return, because it was very clean and organized. The doctors and staff were all very good with children.

As far as the car staff and doctors are nice but the safety of my child comes first and was lucky when he grabbed a needle out of the sharps container he didn't get poked.

My child had an appointment today, the actual service and staff in back were amazing as usual but…read morethat front desk staff member was very unpleasant! Her Customer Service was a negative experience. They charged me for services im fully covered under and couldnt explain to my insurance company nor the billing dept why I was charged! It was lazy, very defensive, a "bothered" attitude, talked down instead talked to and then referring to me as if im not present. She wasn't welcoming from check-in to check out. Her demeanor was as if she didn't want to be there. Non mannerable, not a "Thank you!" You're welcome come again...nothing!!!!! Love the location but maybe I need to re-consider other locations.

Only reason why they're saying that is cause they're getting mad that I asked to stay in the back with my daughter because she has anxiety with the dentist And she's only 14 years old. I am a good mom with my kids, bringing them to get their teeth cleaned out and their cavities filled they don't wanna fill my daughter's cavities all the way they want me to come nine times to do just one cavity, on top of that they want me to pay $20 cash every time for some sedation for my child. They know what they're doing which is a waste of time I've been to other dentist Places and they've done all my kids cavities in one day. This is very unprofessional for someone to write this in the back of the excuse, imagine me taking this to the school and this could've lead me into bigger problems and having the school question me about being a bully!!!!! I was so shocked when I saw this and so disturbed that they would say something like that about me when I've been nothing but nice to these people they talk behind your back so if you do not want this kind of problem, avoid this area. Do not take your children here!!!!

I am very disappointed with the quality of dental work I received at Arena Dental Group. I have…read moreexperienced ongoing issues with multiple fillings, including having to get them redone repeatedly. Dr.Candace does not take her time and rushes. I don't think she really cares. After seeking care from a new dentist, I was informed that several of my fillings were not done correctly and needed to be replaced. The shape and fit of the fillings were off, which has caused continued problems. In one case, a filling was done improperly in a way that allows food particles to become trapped underneath it, leading to an unpleasant odor and concern about long-term dental health. These issues point to a lack of precision and attention to detail in the work performed. Dental procedures, especially fillings, should be done correctly the first time to avoid unnecessary complications and additional treatment. I hope Arena Dental Group takes steps to improve the quality and accuracy of their dental work to prevent other patients from experiencing similar issues. I paid for a lot of my fillings out of pocket due to insurance maxing out just for them to be done incorrectly. Now I'll have to pay again to get them redone. Not to mention they will reschedule your appointment without notifying you. I showed up several times and the office was closed during regular business hours. Overall just not the greatest care I've received.

I chose this practice because they have listed on the website that they provide sedation dentistry which is true to a certain extent. You won't be put to sleep but you will be prescribed medication to help you relax through your treatment if that's something you feel you can benefit from during a visit to to your dentist. The staff have all been so accommodating. I've had to come in between appts. due to new dental issues popping up and they've listen to my concerns and got me in as soon as possible. I have real trauma from past dental treatments and dental offices along with having a medical condition that doesn't allow me to lie flat on my back let alone with my head tilted back. I've had anxiety attacks just preparing for dental appointments for fear of having another dismissed/painful/mistreated experience. I say all of this because I feel I've finally found a dentist and dental office that understands the patient's perspective and is so Informative so I know why and what needs to be done for my individual treatment needs. It means a lot that I can voice that I really have issues with coming to the dentist as a fear and them not be defensive but understanding that past experiences have made it hard to make the appointment let alone sit for work every other week to get my teeth in an ideal state. I couldn't be more pleased with the gentle treatment that I've received at Arena. They have really done their best to accommodate me understanding that it's challenging for me. I'm excited about getting my work done with Dr. Thomas. That's how comfortable I am with her care and I'm faithful that I can get through this because I've been blessed with a experienced, relatable, caring dentist and dental staff.

This review is in no way reflective of Centers For Pediatric Dental Sedation's actual dental work,…read morebut, in fact, a review on their ethical practices and lack of treatment explanation. They travel once a week to the Calhoun office, and that is where we came in for treatment. We had a referral from our dentist to have fillings completed because our son did not want to cooperate at his office. We came into the initial consultation thinking he would have fillings applied to the surface of his teeth. The dentist took about 5 minutes to review the x-rays and assure us with a big grin that everything would be ok and that he would in no time have my kid with a beautiful smile. At no point did he ever explain what a crown was or why exactly did my son need a crown. Our dentist referred us for fillings nothing else. On the day of, the staff was in an extreme rush to get set up, considering they shuttle into Calhoun and once again failed MISERABLY at explaining what was about to happen. They all hurried, had us sign paperwork and rushed my son to the back. My first shock was that he was given a shot right on his arm, instead of being placed on gas as I've seen many times during my surgeries. The second shock came in 5 minutes later when a young girl came in and told us not to freak out if he became stiff and rigid, it was at that point that I subconsciously began to realize these idiots had not spent one second to explain what was about to happen. Still, my dumb and ignorant self allowed everything to continue without asking a single question as to why they hadn't been more thorough with their explanations, yet the worst unexplained fact left out from everything was a detailed explanation of what a crown was. I've called my dentist and asked if he indeed thought my son's teeth were so bad that he needed crowns and said no, we referred you for treatment. We would have done fillings here if he had cooperated. But strap in the worst part was at the end. First the shock of finding out the worst possible way what a crown was, seeing my child's' entire upper gum bruised and purple. Then the same girl comes in to explain that he might wake up screaming or fighting. I've had a hundred questions for a week, and I have not been able to even sleep over the frustration and helplessness. This practice in my view either took advantage of the fact that treatment would be covered by insurance to upgrade unnecessary treatment on my child and failed MISERABLY at explaining thoroughly up front what exactly would happen. They know exactly what they are doing because at the end when my son began to scream in pain, they rushed us out the back door so none of the other oblivious parents would see. I wish I could at least get an apology from them, at the very least but I also wish every parent would find my review and understand how much they care for a thorough explanation. Ask ask ask questions, and if you don't agree with their treatment, please go somewhere else for another consult. There might be kids with teeth so rotten they do require crowns and this practice might be a miracle to them to us it was the worst that has ever happened in my life, and I've had kidney stones. Watching my son scream for hours was far more painful.
