It is clear that the teachers love the kids so much, and are so caring and attentive. Our oldest is now in kindergarten and TCCC was a huge part of setting him up to thrive. Every day has new lessons and activities and art projects, and we are always surprised at how much they learn. I'm so glad we found TCCC and highly recommend it to everyone!

Tiny Tots is the best!…read more This great in-home daycare center is tucked away in Falls Church. It is a state-licensed operation and Chandu (the owner) is very kind, calm, and has wonderful judgement. Most importantly, she is wonderful with the kids (ages 10 weeks - 2 years) and they love her like family. She cares for the kids as if they were her own and she does a great job of making sure they are happy and comfortable at all times when they are in her care. I can't say enough about how great she is! She also has lots of toys available for the kids to play with and has one assistant that she oversees each day for extra help. She keeps track of feeding and diaper changes for all of the kids and she makes sure that everyone is getting adequate sleep time, play time, etc. My son started going to her daycare when he was 10 weeks old and I never felt concerned or worried about him because I knew he was in good hands. I also know that Chandu would not be shy about calling me or contacting me if she had questions or concerns... which makes me happy and relieved during the day when I am at work. Chandu also gives me a thorough verbal report at the end of each day about his naps and temperament-- which makes it easier for me to spot patterns or make adjustments at home since he's so little. Her hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM and she has a large circular driveway that makes drop-offs and pick-ups easy. I can't recommend her enough! Finding a good daycare is so tough (especially in this area), but finding her was an answer to my prayers!!

My child has been going to HH for six years now and the only reason we've kept him there so long is…read morebecause Louise Archer is right across the street. And because they open early. The staff is very polite and have been working with children for years. The facility is located in a very safe neighborhood and recently installed security cameras on the premises. It's a good place and I don't really have many complaints about HH other than a couple small things. Minus one star because of two things. 1)School closings. I'm totally fine with them being closed holidays, but what irks me is if the school has a two hour delay...they'll open two hours late. If FCPS is on winter/spring break or even during the Summer they charge extra cause the kids are there longer....not cool! Some of us working parents don't have that luxury of showing up to work two hours late assuming you depend on HH for child care. 2)I've heard of the owners' children getting away with actions other kids would be punished for.

The teachers there are very attentive to the individual needs of each child. They have always made sure that each child receives the attention that they require. The ratio of teachers to students is more than adequate. It brings a smile to may face everyday when I drop my child off. He always makes sure to give me a big hug and quickly runs off to greet the teachers and to play with his friends. Having a place in which to have your child happy is invaluable! Lastly, the socialization and educational experience that my child receives, will greatly help him as he progresses in his education and in life. I would highly recommend Happy Hours for its staff and value. A big thank you to all of the staff doesn't even begin to cover our experience!

The difference was immediate; he came home happy, relaxed, and full of stories about his day. The outdoor space is incredible. The kids are outside every day--rain, snow, or shine. They enjoy the playground, checking the veggie garden, nature walks, stomping in puddles, playing in the snow, and much more. We also love the mixed-age setup. The older kids learn empathy and confidence by helping the little ones, and the younger kids pick things up so fast by watching and joining in. Both of our boys have grown so much socially and with language since starting here. Tania is warm, communicative, and incredibly organized. She really knows each child and supports their interests. The environment is calm, spotless, safe, and feels like a second home for our children. With flexible drop-offs, home-cooked meals, and so much love and care, Happy Younglings is truly a special place.

A Heartfelt Goodbye to Our Happy Younglings Family!…read more As we prepare for our youngest to graduate from Happy Younglings, I feel gratitude and a touch of bittersweet emotion. This isn't just a daycare; it's been a second home for both of our daughters. From the moment our first child started here, we've been consistently impressed. The providers at Happy Younglings are wonderful--warm, loving, and invested in each child's well-being. My girls adore them, treating them like bonus aunts. One of the things I've always appreciated is the fresh, healthy meals. My picky eaters sometimes only ate their veggies at daycare. Beyond the excellent care and healthy food, Happy Younglings has been instrumental in helping us navigate major developmental milestones. From learning to crawl and first steps to introducing solid foods and, of course, the monumental task of potty training, their support and guidance have been invaluable. They celebrate every achievement with enthusiasm alongside us. If you're looking for a daycare where your child will thrive, be nourished, and feel loved, look no further.

My eldest daughter spent two years of happy time here. My younger daughter is now studying at this school. I want to share a touching experience and explain how this school handled this challenging issue. When my eldest daughter was in the Pre-K class of Appletree II, she told me an incident between she and a girl who was a little older than her. At the outdoor playground, that girl talked to her and another Asian-looking child, "You guys are so ugly! I don't like you, so I don't want to play with you." After listening to her words, I am very sad. Why did such small child say such hurtful words? I reported this to the management of the school. The principal made a very wise arrangement. They incorporated world music and culture in the music curriculum of the school. Through music, young children could understand that there are many people in the world who are different from themselves. They speak different languages and sing different songs. At the end-of-semester performance (Apple Tree Show), children sang a lot of beautiful folk songs in different languages. It was unforgettable. Apple Tree II is a wonderful school. I am very blessed and happy to send my children there.

The menu is healthy and we love that we don't have to pack anything besides a water bottle. For babies, they serve baby food and even provide premium formula included as part of tuition. The TCCC community is amazing. Parents are friendly and engaged. We love that it's a non-profit, so the focus is truly on the kids and families. The teachers in the infant and toddler room have been nothing short of amazing and do a great job caring for our daughter. Strongly recommend. Our only cons are that the facility appears a bit tired looking, but I believe that's a testament to the center spending funds where it matter most- on their amazing staff. The facility is also always clean. The only other thing I can think of is that it would nice for us to be able to check-in electronically vs via paper. But not a big deal and again would rather funds be spent on personnel. Overall, our first year at the center has been a big success and love seeing our daughter grow and develop through what she's learning there. She truly enjoys going there every day which makes the drop-off a lot easier as a parent. Tuition is competitive and worth every penny.
