I went today to resell some of my son and daughters clothing items this morning. When I first walked in, I was greeted by both employees and manager Debra. I was told that it was only store credit which I was totally fine with. The store got extremely busy and the way they handled their customer service and how attentive they were to each client was very impressive. Once my items were ready manager, Debra called me up and was super polite. If you want great customer service, and a great deal for your clothing, I suggest you come to kid to kid Tatum. Today I stopped in to the Tatum location and the ladies behind the counter were feverishly sorting through loads of boxes of clothes. They were working as a team and trying to also handle customers in an efficient way. With all of the staff shortages lately, and the plethora of jobs they have to do all at once, they still were doing a good job and handled everyone. At the end of my visit, I had waited a little while for them to evaluate my box, they apologized for my wait and gave me a small discount on my purchases for that day without provocation. It was really kind and I appreciate how hard they're working and still maintaining a positive attitude. Keep up the good work and bring your used clothes to upcycle at their shop. My 1 year old was in need of a winter coat as we're traveling to cooler climates for the holidays. With that being said, I didn't want to spend a fortune on something he won't wear much here in AZ. I found the perfect coat for an unbeatable price. I also found some snow boots for my niece. Both were like new and I'm so excited to get to the snow. Rude manager, Heidi. Full disclosure, husband should have read the paper to the full extent possible but also could it hurt to just say the disclosure about leaving the store and you can't decline in your convo when asking him to sign the paper, too? I mean your line was 5 people deep and he was holding a 6m old and someone was in a full convo with another lady in line too. He has never been there before..I mean come on ladies.. this is sneaky! I just truly feel like full advantage of my husband was taken when he dropped items for buy back so he could get back home to me (currently bed rest from a serious injury and we needed the cash for medical bills) only to find out we got $18 for a $360 stroller, bath tubs, toys, swaddle, baby food items etc. I'm so disappointed. I get it's a business but come on and you even mentioned how short handed you guys were and I specifically called earlier and said can he drop off, why didn't you disclose that over the phone earlier then? He even thought he was doing a favor and said, no rush..dropped it off for you guys who were busy and he left saying whenever, thinking almost like he's doing you a favor considering how busy and short handed you were. Just ridiculous...so you could have disclosed it again. So instead I'll just leave my rant (I don't need your reply, it is over with), but I will never shop here again/buy back and I'm sorry, but I can't support this small business (I'll support others instead and encourage others which seems like after talking to friends, they've stopped coming as well because of experience at this location), especially how the manager could have made it better, instead of just being short and rude on the phone and telling us to buy it back then and next time my husband should be more aware of reading the entire form (which I agree, don't need to be reminded..you also could have said it too) but just be nice. We're all struggling right now. You don't know what anyone is going through.. and we just really could have used more or a chance to have the items back. It is such a slap in the face. I won't be back here, sorry. It is a rip off. Don't tell me you spent all this time cleaning, etc. And how the business works, I get it. However, you easily could have made it right and gave us just the stroller back, as I asked not shove it back in my face about well "come buy it back then". That's how small businesses, keep business too, but also keep customer service nice and friendly as well. I even said, take everything else then and just want the stroller. You easily could have done the right thing so we could have kept the stroller (and carseat clickable seat that goes with it instead of donating) so we could have tried to sell it even for a bit more than $18. You didn't even want to try and help. Therefore, I'm leaving my review. Times are tough but we always can try and make things right too and it wouldn't have hurt you to keep my other items and everything and deduct the 40% buy back cost and just give the stroller back. Oh well. **6pm: Husband picked up money and said it was a "pleasant" experience. He said the one who originally did his paperwork wouldn't even make eye contact and thinks he worked with the manager. She did give us back the car seat they were going to donate (which we knew this) but at least we can just have that back to save money at Target during the next recycle coupon drive for a new seat for our baby who is no longer in the infant clickable ones. Thank you for that back. Overall though, still will just sell elsewhere or online knowing all we know now and considering my injury, I can't help take to store, can't drive and he can't be gone away from me for 2 hours to wait in store as he is now the full time caregiver to me and 2 young boys. Still wish she would have just made this right. One small act of kindness Heidi. That's all I asked. Update: I came back recently to sell a few clothes and purchase an outfit since my daughter hates wearing dresses and refuses to wear them. There was really not much I could find because most of the clothes are for the winter even though it is 85 degrees outside. The selling process was a little confusing as they just go through the bag and tell you they they took x number of items and they tell you your store credit (if you decide to use store credit). They took three items and I got $5 store credit. Not much at all. I then use the credit to purchase 4 items and even after using my credit, I spent over $20. Honestly, I thought I spent a little much since I went shopping and bought brand new items at a retail store for practically the same price. To me, it wasn't worth it to sell my three items at the end. read more

I tried to make a purchase, they have been great in the past and this may be a policy to help protect people but I feel it to be outdated.... Situation: company did not take discover, then I had the card number and security code with expiration for my visa so I can make the purchase. Employee said they only take physical cards and would ask if they can make exception but owner said no. Phone orders or online orders use just the details I had all the time so maybe they should just review their procedures to be more up to date with the times. I tried to call and make sure I was not mistaken but they said even during COVID they did the same with curbside pick up never taking payments over the phone or online. They were comfortable with their current procedures and if I felt I need to let other know before they go with a review to "go ahead". I have enjoyed supporting this business but as of now I am not feeling they have earned my business. read more

Go here if you like dealing with miserable people who waste your time. I'm originally from Snobsdale and now live in San Diego and visit my mom, who still lives in Scottsdale, frequently. I recently had a baby girl and was visiting my mom. She wanted to get a baby swing for when my daughter is here. I suggested buying used as to not over pay. I called this sad store and got the runaround on the phone (should've knew right then this place was shit) and was told they had TWO swings available for around $40. I go to the store and there are around TEN swings available ranging from $15-$45. I picked a mid range, $25 swing. My mom stayed home to watch my napping 10-week-old and had me use her debit card to buy the swing as a gift. Well this became a shit show as the old, miserable hag who I assume runs this place treated me like a 5-year-old and talked to me about how earlier a child came in and bought $100+ worth of items without her mom's permission on her mom' card. I'm 27-years-old and have the same last name as my mom (her name is on her debit card). This dreadful old lady MAKES me open an account in their store and wastes my time that I could be spending at home with my newborn daughter because apparently you NEED an account with them to give them money. She was rude AF the entire time and took her mistake of taking money from a child out on me. "Tell your mom we don't normally do this." She said about me using my mothers card. Lady, if I was committing fraud does your dumbass really think I would've told you I'm using my mom's card? You're supposed to be a family store. I bought an overpriced bow for $4, on my own dime, and my card clearly had the same last name as the other card. These people are dumb. Not to mention they didn't give a shit to even ask about my daughter while working in a children's store. Bottom line: This place is full of and made for losers. This store is great! I started coming here when pregnant. I go to the church across the street from this location and I realized my bump popped while in church one day because my pants were uncomfortably tight when I went to sit down for service so I looked up maternity stores and found this place. They have quite a maternity selection which I was very happy to find, and even now I come here frequently for baby items. I love their onsie bin and found some adorable sports outfits that my husband loves to put our little guy in when we go to various games. I also signed up for their texts and get great deals sent to my phone weekly. The staff is very friendly and they know the merchandise really well. I went in this past week looking for a specific swing, but after looking myself didn't find anything so I started to walk out. They noticed I was walking out without asking for help and without a purchase so they asked if there was something I was searching for and after a quick description, she had the perfect item for me and we applied my coupons automatically when she pulled up my phone number in the system. I walked out feeling like I was stealing something because the price was so ridiculously low and I'm very satisfied with all of my purchases. I have seen a few reviews commenting on the staff not being helpful, but I prefer to shop on my own so I appreciated that they gave me the freedom to search until they could tell I needed help. read more

The store manager was incredibly rude. Will never go here again. She mentioned multiple times for the entire store to hear that she shouldn't be here on her day off dealing with these people. Apparently I was one of "these people" because I asked if it was possible to get cash instead of store credit. I asked this from the moment I walked in. In regards to a single very large, hard to transport toy. I even said I would be happy to come back for the cash at the beginning of the month when they were doing cash. At that time I Was told that it may be a possibility for my single large item toy. With that knowledge I waited 2hrs to find out that the manager did not appreciate the question and began to talk down to me. She never answered the question if she would or wouldn't. Just began to raise her voice and refuse to listen to what I was trying to ask in the first place. Apparently I was determined to be an uncooperative customer for asking a question. I never said I couldn't do the in store credit (I had an entire bag of clothes I wanted to purchase) or that I would simply just not sell the item to kid to kid. Instead was an issue and treated with zero respect for asking a simple question. She also helped another customer saying "at least some people are cooperating" she said this while standing directly in front of me and for the entire store to hear. Again I was never not cooperating. I remained calm and polite the entire time. I simply asked a question. Then when she was itemizing my clothing sale items she began to chit chat with others (after I had been waiting for 2hrs). At this point I talked to another clerk stating that I need to get to my kids pickup and would need to figure out if I was going to sell the item or not, so the other (very nice I might add) store clerk asked her how much longer to attempt to get the manager back on track she said "I will not be told what to do, she can keep waiting" read more

What a great way to shop for my grandkids! Wish Kid to Kid was around when my kids were little. I find great deals on toys, clothes, books, shoes--always in great shape. Once I found a whole bin of wooden trains and tracks worth hundreds of dollars for $50. Today I went in looking for bow ties for my grandsons to wear to church, and the salesperson helped me find shirts and vests and long ties, even a three-piece suit with a free book thrown in for under $43. Kid to kid is a great place for a parent to get things their kids will outgrow at an affordable price. I go here every season and stock up on basics and then get the trendy items at the store. We have bought lots of bigger items, like; toddler bed, activity centers, rocking horse, bouncers here too. Quit paying high prices for things you won't keep forever. I don't recommend selling clothes to them. I brought 10 bags of clothes to sell them and they kept one plastic bin full and I walked away with 37 dollars credit. Maybe my clothes were bad but I paid quite a bit for them. Not worth all that work it took to haul those bags into my car then to the store then back in my car then back to my house. I did not walk away feeling like I benefited from the transaction. I am now sweaty and tired of moving these darn bags. I think they gave me like 25 cents per item and I am positive I can get more money for my stuff from a garage sale. Never again. I will still shop there but definitely won't ever sell to them again.
