I didnt realize how unhappy my daughter was at her prior school until she was transferred to kid junction. I thought what she was having was normal for her age. But as soon as she was sent to this school she immediately fell in love with alll teachers. She has been SOOO happy!! She couldnt wait to go to school every morning and even wanted to go during weekends! Ms clara is the director she sent pictures and videos to all parents every week. Very very sweet and professional at the same time. She didnt let me inside of the school at first when i wanted a tour because i was a total stranger. She is doing everything she can to keep kids safe. Ms Sandy is my daughter's teacher has been wjth the school for a very long time. very sweet and kind and professional. She keeps the place fun and educational at the same time. My daughter absolutely adores her. Same with us! Ms Susan is normally the teacher who is at the school in the morning. Very bubbly personality and super nice. She is playing with the kids all the time or doing their hair every-time i drop-off or pickup my daughter. We all love her. She is Always with a big smile. Ms Belinda and Ms Eileen are teachers for bigger kids very good with what they do and focus on academics. All kids are very advanced on preschool programs from what i heard. Overall i couldn't be happier with this school. Very grateful for my friends who referred me here. They sent both of their kids here as well. You could tell teachers here are all with gold of hearts and they care about them! Very very grateful of all of them!

Kid Junction was recommended to us by a trusted neighbor who said he heard good things from a church friend. We enrolled our son 2 years ago and this week will be his last week before he moves onto TK. We had such a good experience with the school that we decided instead of moving our daughter to another school that is closer to his TK, we would rather spend the extra time driving in the opposite direction to keep her here. My son had a lot of separation anxiety when he first started but Mrs. Sandy and Mrs. Clara were so patient and kind and helped him feel comfortable quickly (about 2 weeks). Mrs. Clara even spent extra 1:1 time with him in the early days to help him feel more comfortable and ease him into his new reality. He soon loved school. Mrs Clara is also great about updating you throughout the day with photos and videos of your child's activities. I always enjoy getting the pics/videos and my kids (who are super chatty) love to see the pics and tell me in detail about their day or what they're doing in the pic/video. We have seen our son transform from a shy, nervous boy into a more confident one. From the stage fright he showed during Christmas performance to confidently dancing and and singing at graduation. Thank you for helping him develop into the person he is today and treating our son with care and warmth as if he were family. He truly loves all the teachers and staff at the school and only has good things to say. We will miss having him attend Kid Junction but know he is well and over prepared for TK thanks to everyone here.

My daughter attended Mini when she was 1.5 years old. Now she is 4.5 year old, and becomes more verbal. She started to tell me things I didn't know back then. And I was very upset to hear. To give a little background. My child only speaks Chinese at home before going to Mimi. After 7 months being there, I was told by Jean that my kid never spoke a word in school, not even making any sound. I got her diagnosed, and she maybe had selective mutism (not speak at school, but talk a lot in other setting). At first, I thought it was because the language that she got confused by Chinese and English. Now, relating to what my kid told me now, and thinking my child' reactions back then, I was really sad. My kid now told me, she didn't like Mimi, because all the teachers would yell at her, and hit her on the head if she didn't behave well. They would put her in a room by herself as a punishment. She even imitated what the teachers did to her, and it broke my heart. It is really really bad. These reminded me of when I picked her up back then. They would sit quietly and nicely by the table, playing. (They put the kids into "waiting area" for parents to pick up, and sometimes they can sat there for over 30 mins). When I first toured the school, I was so surprised that the kids were so behaved for that age. I even felt that the place was way too quiet for their age. Also, when I picked her up, sometimes she was clearly sad and upset. Now looking at the photos Jean sent me, (and compared to the photos in her new school), she indeed was sad and unhappy in every single photo. I felt so bad now that I ignored all these signs back then. That I left my kids miserable in that place for 7 months. Afraid, and not even saying a word. When I talked to her doctor about selective mutism, I kept asking the doctor if it is the traumatized experience that caused her this. The doctor said, an anxious environment could trigger it. I have been blaming myself for a long while for it. After she transferred to a new school in Walnut (it has both Chinese and English teachers), after 3 months, she started to talk, and really thrive in the new daycare. On the first day in the new school, the teachers told me that they were so surprised that my kid was so behaved, a little bit too behaved. They said she is very nervous about things and very sensitive. I am glad that the teachers in the new school are truly supportive, and give her so much love. She become the most talkative kid in the class after 6 months (speaks in English). I can clearly see the difference. She is so happy everyday. I think Korean are like Chinese, very strict and disciplined sometimes. I am not sure if my kid exaggerated. But what I know is, after we transferred to the new school, one day, I passed by the Mimi to go shopping, and she was so scared and screamed "I am not going to Mimi!" Every time, I mentioned Mimi or driving toward Mimi's direction, she would give me very strong emotions and said I am not going back. Although of these things, I still think they have some good things. The place is clean and organized (my kid didn't get much sick during the time there). They are flexible. I remembered we were busy during a period when we moved to a new place, and they were accommodating our needs. I hope my kid is only an individual case. Maybe it is just her that didn't fit well into Mimi. I sincerely hope other kids could have a better experience.

The facility is always spotless, well organized, and you can tell they take great pride in maintaining a safe and clean space for the kids. One thing that really sets Montessori of Walnut apart is everything they offer beyond the classroom. They have on-campus swimming with a certified instructor who also offers private lessons, fun themed events throughout the year, guest speakers, and so many engaging extracurricular activities that keep the children excited and learning in new ways. Most importantly, our kids absolutely love going to school every morning. They've learned so much over the past two years, and it's been amazing to watch their confidence and independence grow.
