We learned different techniques throughout the course, but we also had the freedom to make whatever we wanted. Her guidance made me feel comfortable trying new things and more confident in what I could create. The art show at the end was incredible. I'd watched people build and glaze their pieces week after week, so seeing everyone's finished work on display felt so special. I invited friends and family to celebrate, and some of them left wanting to sign up for a class too! This studio has become a place I genuinely look forward to going. We had plenty of time to play around with colors, get creative, and make our bears completely our own. I booked our experience through Viator, and one important thing to know ahead of time is that the bears need about 72 hours to fully dry before they can be picked up. We were visiting from out of town, so luckily we had a friend in the Atlanta area who was able to pick them up and ship them to us afterward. Definitely something to plan for if you're traveling! Such a fun memory for my son's 10th birthday and we got to bring home our own little works of art. The parking was great and the tour of the studio was really cool to see and learn about the process. Then we got a ton of hands on time with the pottery, about an hour and a half, and then we got to pick from a wide selection of glazes which the artists will apply and then in about 6 weeks we will be able to pick up the pottery. I was blown away by the price of the class. I received it as a gift, but when I learned that it was only $65 per person for a 2 hour class and 2 pieces of pottery I was shocked. There's a huge parking lot with free and accessible parking. When we walked in we were greeted by the enthusiastic instructor Slade. She was super welcoming and cool! We picked our seats and began to drink of course. The class had the opportunity to pick by vote which painting we wanted to do (3 options), which I thought was different but cool. The one we wanted to do (a guitar) didn't win the democratic vote and the bridge was selected. She individually came around and asked if we wanted to change the colors and everything. Our classmates were all super cool and friendly and it was so fun to be lost with everyone else. Slade did a great job of walking around to talk to us and see if we needed help! Her assistant was also superb at getting us more paint, paper towels, and/or fresh water. We were having trouble with mixing colors and he even offered to mix them in the back for us and bring to us. The whole vibe was great and chill. The music being played was perfect. At the end, you get the opportunity to sign the wall which is unique and cool. We had a really great time and would absolutely positively recommend and come back with friends! They offer party packages and certain days they even have themed nights like karaoke and etc. I should also mention that there's not a limit on how many bottles you bring and you can also bring little snacks like cheese and crackers, chips, etc. My only suggestion is that they clean the bathroom.
