I chose refund. 7-10 days, supposedly. At this point, I don't want to think about the $110 dollar comedy show tickets I couldn't attend. I want that out of mind. I randomly decide to check my card to see if it's been refunded after my May 29th refund request. June 22, nothing in my account. Notify MGMT with receipts. They punt the ball to the ticket vendor on the 23rd (supposedly). 8 days later after correspondence to get this corrected, no response (June 30). I call the vendor SeatEngine, and they've purportedly not heard from Helium. They made it right, processed my refund and sent me a confirmation. Again, I don't want to be thinking about a comedy show I now can't attend because it was rescheduled. Helium, this is on you. You could have at least reached out and said something like "sorry for the inconvenience; we reached out and they're fixing it for you (smiley face business nod). Nope. Called again today, left my information. Like the 3rd or 4th time they've not answered or returned my voicemails. I certainly do not trust this business with my money. Unfortunately, as a new city resident... I will not be visiting one of the (supposedly) good clubs in my new city. You have multiple voicemails and emails, you've given me nothing. This is on you Helium.

I did not know this space was here! I have tried to drop in to see comedian friends perform in the…read morespace but had not actually looked it up so I had no idea what I was walking into. So many of the smaller venues are a bit tragic and in older neighborhoods, it could go either way. What a truly great surprise because it was really well decorated. So creative and unique - love it! Even with the very open floor plan it, somehow, feels intimate inside when you are seated for a show. I had the pleasure to see Canon Shakespeare perform Julius Caesar: "Mischief, thou art afoot." I was impressed at the use of lighting for the stage show. I was able to get a reasonably priced cup of wine at their concessions plus I loved that they had quite a few options for non alcohol and snacks available. My only complaint was only seeing one of the restrooms! One of the staff said that the restrooms were both themed and that one was themed 'Ladies Room' even though they are unisex restrooms... But each time I was in range, that one was in use. The other bathroom was spacious, very clean and covered in The Last Supper art pieces. Perhaps someone had a religious experience in the restroom?

We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory on South Waterfront. The location was beautiful for date night. Loved about it: It was nice to get into the character and be on the set of a real life clue game. Loved how we everyone was dressed for the Masquerade Billionaire Club Ball. It really added to the whole ambience. People actually got into character! Loved to see how everyone acted and showed emotions. Drawbacks: The people on our table were a little shy (on their 2nd/3rd date) and weren't participating as much so that was a drawback for us. Food was so/so but again we were there for the experience and not the food and that is where I took away a star. They were a little loose with the directions with what to do with money or who should respond how. Now we are looking forward to next time because we know what to do. They took mugshots in the beginning and during the event and promised to send us the link to the pictures via email. We never got them :( take your own pictures! Tips: Its all about the guests! The only down fall was the lack of all the clues, as well as short amount of time to solve the mystery. After the killer was revelaed and the reason why it was evident that the evidence we would have needed to come to that solution was in the killer's hand most the night. As an adult I was left feeling like, "They are alright for amateurs." I wasn't really engaged in the show for younger audiences, perhaps because I'm not one of them. it wasn't bad, it just didn't grab me. My guy liked it well enough, he was surprised I was blasé about that show. But I gave the 5 stars didn't I? Yes. That's because of the adults-only show. I laughed so hard for 2 hours that I cried repeatedly, I almost wet my pants at one point and my cheeks were still sore the next afternoon. My guy laughed just as hard as I did. And it never stopped. Never. It's been a few days now and we are still talking it over and laughing at it. Seriously, best amateur improv for adults I have ever seen, and I have seen a fair few in my travels.
