She plays for a competitive level Girls 03 team and she has really benefited from the extra training and skill clinics that are offered here at Catalyst. Let's start with the skill clinics. They offer a variety of skill clinics nearly every day of the week and they rotate monthly so your child does not get in a rut. The coaching staff is extremely knowledgeable and they each a different skill set. They really care about these kids and offer an excellent balance of enthusiasm and support while "pushing" them in an appropriate manner. They treat each child with respect regardless of ability and longevity of play. The clinics are split by age groups so my daughter is always challenged by peers her own age. They keep the classes small and give a lot of one on one attention. Private lessons are available and the old adage of "you get what you pay for" rings true. The privates aren't cheap but are well worth it. The private trainers are well rounded in their knowledge and will work on what your child needs to and not try to just sell package deals. We are on a pretty tight budget but the privates are well worth the extra money. My daughter is currently working with Kathleen on her running form and just a couple of tiny tweaks have taken her game to a whole new level. She has worked with nearly all the trainers and has not complained once. Her favorite saying is from Bobby and she reminds me often -"Practice does not make perfect. perfect practice makes perfect." Lastly, the owners Alicia and Matt are fantastic. They are always friendly and can be very accommodating to special situations. It's a great place and I highly recommend it to beginners all the way up to semi-pros.

Next summer our family will plan our vacation around the Keystone schedule because our daughter doesn't want to miss a day!

In addition all the counselors are in the pool except one that is playing games with the kids who are not swimming that day. They test the kids daily to make sure they are in good shape to swim. All in all: A+ for niceness, fun, safety, and variation. I signed her up for two weeks this year but may increase to four weeks next year. The director, Mike is awesome and clearly puts his heart into this camp. Bravo.

I truly cannot say enough positive things about Coach Jojo and the entire Get Better staff. We have seen tremendous growth in our son, both mentally and physically, since joining the program. The coaches go far beyond their roles and genuinely care about each athlete and invest in their development on and off the court. If you don't know it already, Coach Jojo and the entire program is widely respected and trusted by the high school coaching community. Get Better is the strongest program out there for any player who is serious about improving and preparing for the next level regardless of age and experience. Importantly, their emphasis on fundamentals is something many basketball programs overlook and seriously lack (instead many chase tournament wins and focus on the development of only a few specific players- we've been there too!) which absolutely sets Get Better Hoops apart, especially since fundamentals and team playing is exactly what high school coaches are looking for. I also want to address the other yelp review regarding the injury. Basically- I can't see that as reality. That's not how I've witnessed any of the coaches regarding any injuries of any players including my own son over two year being in the program. Not even close!! They have been nothing but concerned and "on it" if anything happens at a practice or a game. Literally Coach Jojo brought ice for my son's strain during practice just last week, so no, not buying that particular review. All in all, moving our son to Get Better Hoops has been the best decision for him and now we're enjoying watching him play in the high school setting and we absolutely attribute it to Coach Jojo and the excellent and experienced coaches at Get Better Hoops.

It's really amazing to see how much they've grown, from just playing for fun to becoming club athletes ready for high school. That's all thanks to your coaching, and I'm super grateful. You've really helped them build up their physical strength - my boys are so much stronger and more explosive now, and they don't get pushed around easily. And just as important, you've helped them develop a healthy drive to win. You don't just teach them plays, you teach them that competitive fire, how to be accountable, and the mental toughness to push through mistakes. That's why they're doing so well in basketball. As we get ready for high school ball, I really appreciate the more focused training on mental resilience in those high-pressure situations - like free throws at the end of a game, defending a lead, or bouncing back from a bad call.
