So Beef O' Brady's is a name that brings back some later childhood memories. When I grew up in Florida, it was a popular name that I may or may not have eaten at there. Anyway, coming here is much appreciated just for the nostalgia alone. On my visit to this Johnson City location, we were served by Danielle, and I would have to say her skills as a waitress are good. She's friendly and takes your order without complaint. Really, that's all I ask for people who wait on us. My dad was footing the bill on this one. So for what we had, my older brother is the only one who doesn't drink alcohol (anymore), but the rest of my group of 4 had some kind of alcohol. Dad does a beer, and while I don't remember off the top of my head what my stepmom went with, I chose the Caribbean Rum Punch (most of the buzz from my drinks in Charlotte had worn off at this point that I could have another drink). For our main, my brother had the OMG Burger with no tomato, done medium, and had fries. The rest of us had wings, and this time I know exactly what we had. Mine were 10 boneless Blackened wings and were the only ones that were boneless, my stepmom had Sweet Thai Chili, and my dad did Mango Habanero. For appetizers, we saw the onion rings and mozzarella sticks this time around. My brother was given the marinara because I do not have it if it can be helped. I also heard that the fried pickles were actually really good and my stepmom did actually want to order that, but we didn't have those in the order. I will say everyone liked what we ate for the most part. My brother and I have differing opinions on doneness (I am of the opinion that anything not done at least a medium-well is almost the same as if I were eating it raw). My brother likes the juiciness of medium-cooked foods and likes to joke that these eating anything cooked past that are eating hockey pucks. I thought my wings were good and crispy, but I do feel like they kind of skimped on the spiciness a tad. Blackened wings should have a good kick to them, and these taste more like a seasoning than a coating. The chicken was at least tender, so I will give them points for that. As for the mozzarella sticks, most of mine had a good cheese pull that I appreciated and enjoyed. There were maybe 1 or 2 though that were hollow inside, so that was disappointing, but the fact that the rest of them more than made up for it means I can't knock them too much. At the end of the day, this is going to be another 4. It's a good place to stop by and eat. Just know Beef O'Brady's ain't a small restaurant chain and locations in multiple states, so as such it might help to slightly temper expectations.

That being said, just know, this sandwich is on the smaller side of portions. My upgraded mac n cheese side was bigger than the sandwich itself. Taste was there. Really good if you can handle a little bite due to the spicy mayo. I'd order it again now knowing its size and maybe just add an appetizer or dessert with it.

The entrance is along the side of the building through a set of double doors. Although this area could get full when they are really crowded, there is a decent amount of room to get through. Walking in, we were greeted by the hostess right away. The dining area was mostly full for lunch but there were several tables in the bar area so we were seated right away. We noticed the overhead music was rather loud, maybe because we were in the bar area, but we could still talk without shouting. Our server, who was also the bartender, came by right away for the drink order. We asked for a few minutes to look over the menu. A different server brought our drinks in about a minute and the bartender returned shortly and took our food order. We ordered off the "3 for me" limited special menu, each selecting one of the two different burgers. For the appetizer, we selected the chips and salsa and a cup of the loaded potato soup. Both arrived within a couple minutes. The chips and salsa are average at best. The salsa tasted like tomato sauce with some cumin added and the chips were cold, thin, and from a bag. There were a lot of chips though, so I guess that is good. The loaded potato soup was also average. It was somewhat creamy and there were a couple small pieces of potato included, but the volume was very small. No more than four or five spoonfuls. The burgers arrived after about 10 minutes, brought by another server. Both the QP and Smashburger were larger than expected. Each was cooked completely without being dry and were seasoned nicely. The other included items were fresh and plentiful. The bun also tasted fresh. The only real complaint here is there was more ketchup and mustard on the QP than necessary, which made a bit of a mess while eating. The accompanying fries were hot, fresh, and plentiful. Both burgers were quite good and certainly worth the special menu price, even with the less than stellar appetizers. Our bartender server was very good, as were the other two who brought the drinks and entrees. He remained watchful without intruding and made sure we had everything we needed, checking after each item was served. This was a good lunch experience.

Both were very tasty, but the bread was a little dry. I suggest they use a pastry brush and brush some olive oil on the bread before grilling and it would add the extra crunch, flavor and sumptuousness it needs to level it up. I was also surprised the egg salad sandwich didn't come on a croissant. It would be so much better if it did.

I'm honestly surprised it doesn't have a full five-star rating. The food is excellent--creative, high-quality gastropub fare that's easily some of the best we've had in the area. As newcomers, one of the biggest adjustments has been finding great restaurants, and Label has definitely filled that gap. We had a large group, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Everyone's meal came out great, and not a single person left disappointed. To top it all off, the desserts were phenomenal and the perfect ending to a great meal. If you're looking for one of the best dining experiences in Johnson City, Label is absolutely worth a visit. We'll definitely be back!

The lady told me she didn't have change, and when I pulled out some coins, I assumed she meant she didn't have change in coins. I ended up giving her cash and change, and she said thank you. I then asked, "Can I get my change back?" because I was supposed to receive about $5 back. Apparently, she had assumed I was giving her a $5 tip on a $15 takeout order. To be clear, I was not. I understand tipping when someone is providing a service, but this was a takeout order--I walked in, picked up my food, and left. There was no table service or anything beyond handing me my order. She did have to go to the back to get my change and brought it back to me in $1 bills. The whole situation was just awkward and frustrating. Between the extremely small portion and the confusion over my change, I honestly wasn't impressed with the experience.

The outdoor area can be loud due to its close proximity to the busy street. Not really much of a view; just the parking area and passing cars. Plenty of parking in front and to the side. They do have an inside dining area, but the host didn't give us that option. Our waitress was nice but wasn't very knowledgeable about the food; I asked her if the shrimp poboy came on hard or soft bread. She said soft so I ordered that. It was toasted to the point of being rock hard; actually cut my lip on it. Otherwise the poboy was pretty good, just hard to eat. The wife enjoyed her burger, but it wasn't anything special. And neither of us cared much for their side of chips; it's clearly their attempt to be different by not serving the usual French fries. But in our opinions, it's a fail. They were neither a tasty potato chip nor a fry, but something in between, that even ketchup couldn't make tasty. Interesting place to visit once, but I doubt we'll be back.
