This is our third time using Hill Country Premier Lodging and we once again enjoyed it. My husband…read moreand I plus our 12 year old stayed in the Falls Cabin property. First, the reservation process was super simple and the property photos and overview were spot on. The cabin was adorable, clean and plenty of space for my family. We enjoyed the fire pit (there were two logs already here for us) and the hot tub which was very clean. The property has two other cabins but there's still plenty of space for everyone. You get a beautiful view of Smith Creek and because the area received rain prior to our arrival we also enjoyed the waterfall. Please note in the property information it does state the creek is weather dependent so if the area is in a drought there won't be water in it. The property location could not have been any better, 5 minutes from Wimberley Square, 10 minutes from the Cypress Water Hole and 10 minutes from Wimberley National. The list of chores prior to leaving was simple and I don't believe that asked too much like some other properties. Overall, it was a relaxing much needed weekend for our family and having such a great place to stay truly made it special for us.

My family and I stayed here for the weekend, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing…read moreexperience. (Lakeside Overlook) The biggest issue was a severe ant problem in the kitchen. Ants were everywhere--on the countertops, dishes, and eventually all over our food. We ended up having to throw away more than $100 worth of meat because it became infested. I sent multiple photos to the management company, and while they did send someone to the property, we were told they could not spray because the ants were around our food. That was exactly why we had requested help in the first place, so the issue was never resolved during our stay. The backyard also did not match the listing photos. A black fence completely blocked the advertised view, the grass was overgrown, and there were spider webs covering the back porch, making the outdoor space uninviting. The most alarming part of our stay happened while we were watching TV in the living room. A scorpion stung my husband. Because he has underlying health issues, we immediately contacted Poison Control and had to closely monitor his symptoms. It was a frightening experience. I notified the management company right away, but they offered no meaningful response or assistance. Overall, the property was not well maintained, and the safety concerns made our stay extremely stressful. What was most disappointing was the lack of concern and effort from the management company to address the problems or make things right. I would not recommend staying here based on our experience.

Wanted to surprise the hubby and wanted a pet friendly area and Wimberley TX did not disappoint…read more Cypress Creek was absolutely breathe taking the room was clean, comfortable and romantic. They even had a gift bag for our dog. So thoughtful I made a reservation about a month in advance never been to Wimberley. I had the best customer service by Albert I would email him and he would respond within the hour and he was full of information. Thank you Albert you are awesome I had so many plans but unfortunately it did not go well the swimming hole was closed which was not updated through the website or Yelp. Zip lining no one answered the phone to make a reservation I tried online and they never had an opening- just a note to call the office Jacob's Well also closed Blue hole was open but no swimming allowed Thoughts outdoor activities will likely be open closer to summer possibly in May Even though we were unable to do the outdoor activities we still had a relaxing mini honeymoon and the best part was we brought our Xena and the stores welcomed her It's just another excuse to come back to Wimberley in June when we know everything will be open

Montesino is one of our favorite places on Earth. I know the Texas Hill Country better than most,…read moreas I spend so much time traveling throughout the region, and I have the good fortune to visit a lot of private ranches as part of my work. My family (including two toddlers) and I were looking for a place that wasn't too remote where we could get away from city life and the busy-ness that comes with it. This place really hits the mark on all levels - conveniently located, but remote feeling, great accommodations (and the lovely host, Pam), a fantastic swimming hole on the Blanco, lots of great restaurants nearby, etc. There is also an impressive working farm that is always yielding plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. And, Farmer John is always interested in showing kids and sharing the bounty. Highly recommended!

McKenzie was so sweet but following orders she had to rush us to finish our duties. It's in the middle of nowhere and I do not know why they are sticklers to "their ways". There is a huge miscommunication between them two; mixed messages. No kind of accommodations are available. I did not enjoy interacting with them overall as I felt rushed and they just came off as entitled/unprofessional. They speak negatively about people instead or reaching out to them directly. They have a belief of they host "weddings", not "parties/celebrations" and are unaware of cultural differences. Pam is adamant about receiving a list for EVERY single detail such as when the bride/groom is getting ready and when everything happens when they weren't present the entire time to SUPPORT the event. That's the job of the coordinator. For the price overall of the venue/limits and the amenities and accommodations, this place is overpriced.
