I was so nervous because I've had such bad experiences at other salons (even a big name salon). She was so welcoming and really listened to what I wanted. I did show her some inspo fotos. It all broke down when I checked out with the clueless receptionist. The single process was $75 online and when I confirmed on the phone. When she rang me up, suddenly it was $85. When I asked why she said the following reasons: extra charge for more product (did not say which product), environmental charge and recycling hair charge. Naturally I asked more to understand what these random charges were as this has never happened to me in my over 25+ years of getting my hair done. She said 2.50 for the hair dye (again, how unprofessional, no salon ever has charged for more product); then the rest is some BS they put on a card board at the register for "environmental"...so they recycle my washed up hair (GROSS!) and charge me so they can be better to the enviornment?? The clueless receptionist was not able to explain further. I told her point blank this is NOT how you treat customers, you tell them up front what the service costs and that's how it works. If they want to tack on $10 add'l for nonsense charges, LET ME KNOW UP FRONT. This is the most ludicrous thing I have ever seen/heard. The charges continue. I went to tip and they use "tippy" so I got to pay an additional $3 or so just to tip my stylist! Unbelievable this place is!! To the manager of this store: this was my first visit to your salon. I was really hoping for a better experience since I am in search of a go-to salon. I go to the salon weekly. The check out process was just awful and it is not accpetable to charge your customers an extra $10 "just because" and never explain it. Very disappointing experience.

It is noticeably crooked, in addition to being way shorter than I requested overall, making it impossible for me to even put it up until it grows out. If you reach out to get assistance, you'll be a priority in 72 hours. Until then, they're super duper sorry that you're sad, but that sorry doesn't translate into any actual concrete assistance. 74 hours later...I contacted customer service again. I had to simultaneously chat with two agents and speak to one on the phone (in addition to at least two agents abandoning the chat) before I could speak to a supervisor who explained that I was such a priority, and she understood my concerns, but they couldn't do anything for me because the store wasn't responding to the concerns that had been brought to them. I should have known when I walked in and saw 7000 employees, all hanging out and chatting and not a single one to help a customer that this was not the place to go. I spend so much money on their website, and I guess I'll be switching to Sephora because Ulta could not care less about their customers. They aren't even making a financially sound decision in refusing to speak to me because my haircut cost $47, but I spend (without including the salon) close to $2500 at Ulta each year. So, that means that not only is the customer service bad, but their understanding of how math works sucks too.
