Went to khan kabab house for a casual eats. I love a hole in the wall spot because they typically have the freshest finds. However, I wasn't impressed with the quality of the chicken karahi. It tasted old and was lack luster in flavor. Not very spicy, despite being asked if it was spicy. Also ordered the combo platter, which consisted of chicken tikka kebabs, chicken shish kebob and beef kebab. The shish kebabs were juicy and herby. The chicken tikka was still dry for my liking. The rice was dressed with curry sauce for some moisture. Overall, rating the chicken karahi a 5/10 and kebabs 7/10. read more

Ordered goat biryani- was decent but very spicy. Lamb nihari- AVOID very smelly and cannot be enjoyed. Also ordered tandoori chicken which was good. Naan were the best especially garlic naan. The food is very spicy in general. I have high tolerance for spices, but still was spicy for me. Please take into consideration spice level before ordering. The guy at the counter is not friendly at all but does his job. He was not wearing a mask over his nose which a NO no at this pandemic time. read more

Whenever the opportunity comes to try somewhere new for me in Parsippany, I always do my research prior to ordering to ensure I'm getting some quality food. My latest visit was to Khan Kabab House located at 142 Route 46 east in Parsippany, just west of New Road. In speaking with a coworker, thanks Haleema, this place came highly recommended. Not gonna lie, I've past this place countless number of times and always wondered about it, but never took the plunge to order. With many options to choose from, I went with the recommendation of Chicken Kabab Sandwich (pita bread with a chicken kabab, tomatoes, lettuce and onions) with white sauce on the side! Ordering was super easy on the phone and it was ready on 15 minutes. By far, the Nan the Kebab was wrapped in was on of the tastiest nans I've had in a long time. It was soft on the inside and the outside had a nice crisp to it with a slight char to it which was cooked to perfection. The Kebab was super tasty and everything put together made a great meal. The sandwich did have some hot sauce on it which was super tasty. For those who may not like the heat, I'm sure this could easily be ommited. However the sauce was not overpowering and made for a nice addition to the meal. When I did pick up, they seemed pretty busy which is a good sign. If there could be worse rating for this restaurant i would have given it. These guys mess up the order. Food is average or worse than average and they don't apologize or do anything to resolve the mess up. I will never go there again nor would i recommend anyone. Awful food; we ordered shish kabab platters, paya and aloo paratha for takeout. The kababs were dry, and aloo paratha was soggy and lacking flavor. Oh yes, the REAL deal. I've eaten here 15+ times and I keep going back for more. Highly recommend the chef special biriyani's (chicken tikka or kabobs...or obviously both!). Each will set you back a whopping not-so-much-$10 and the portions are fantastic...I could easily make this a dinner and leftover lunch! It's SPICY but man oh man, each bite is SO flavorful. Don't forget to ask for the yogurt sauce (raita) and keep in mind that this too is spicy! Normally I've had this as take-out, and I've never been disappointed. We stopped in over the weekend and actually sat in and ate. Is it a place you want to go on a fancy date? No. Is it perfect for when you are starving, need to grab dinner, and you don't want to bring it home? Yes! They don't spend time on fancy presentation and the like, but the food is great. That's what counts. Not to get personal, but I have had reflux issues recently. I LOVE really spicy foods, but now I have to tone it down a lot. They cooked me up a delicious, non-spicy meal. And the price is right - for the food. My one complaint is that the drinks we got in house jacked up our bill. No biggie though. Settle into their groove and it's worth it. read more

I live in paterson but go there every week. Taste is good especially if you like spicy food. Nihari,chicken tikka biryani and daal are the best items. Not a good place to sit and eat. It's a Pakistani restaurant so good in Pakistani items like karhai or biryani but not good in Indian items like palak paneer or chicken tikka masala. Owners always give a stink face when you want to use a credit card. I would definitely give it more stars because the food is good however, the service outweighed the food. I've been going here for two years, I'm fed up with their service and I wanted others to know what to expect here. Will not be going back here. I forgot the add the fact that they told me "we can only do 20 dollars minimum on credit card". They always complain about wanting cash (probably to show loss on their income tax return and not get charged the merchant fee). I'm also pretty sure that NJ (actually US) allowable maximum credit card transaction minimum is 10$. Khan's is my go to for homemade Pakistani and Indian food. My fav is the chicken kabab/kabab sandwich and the naan is amazing! Mr. Ahmad's a great guy and is always getting the dishes out quick and fresh. There's plenty of parking, new seating area, and they take cc at a minimum. Route 46 is a mess of chain restaurants but Khan's is a quality stand out that is worth a try. read more

As the name Suggest "Khan Kabab" Would attract the attention of normally non-veg. But this place is very disappointing. We ordered just simple chicken tandoori kabab and Kabab roll to take away. Not to mention that it is nowhere near to kabab. The chicken is half cooked, Spices over chicken are just for the name sake, and the roll- is nothing but, Just the so called Chicken Kabab is rolled in the Naan. However, I have tried better ones * Kabobs - Average. * Nehari - Mediocre Their customer service is terrible. I asked a quick question on the phone what he had in curry today. Was very disappointed. Everything from service to food. This place is not for dine in. Just make it to go first of all. The owner behaved badly. Minimum $25 on credit card. First of all they will try to get cash as if machine is broken. The quantity of food was good but it was cold. We tried Chef special mixed biriyani. Cheap food, and fast, this place hits the spot. Their veggie samosas were spicier than I expected them to be, but I'm weaksauce when it comes to spice. The kabab sandwich is a bargain for how much you get, and the platter lasts you for more than one meal. If you're the high-maintenance type, you'll hate how this place has no seating, and how it doesn't look sparkling clean. First - My review isn't meant to insult anyone, it's just the truth about my experiences here over the last two years. I'm Pakistani and I know Pakistan food as I cook it practically every day and trust me when I tell you - this place is terrible! The service is non-existent but I expect that as Pakistanis are *generally* rude business owners anyway. The owner is actually rude to everyone I've ever seen there - he's neglectful, dismissive, terse and has an air of superiority. The food used to be mediocre years ago but now is beyond disgusting: tasteless, unappetizing aaaaaand the way it's packed is embarrassing!!!! They wrap things up in super cheap little foil packets. The portions are so small that you'll be angry that you wasted your money here. I paid $2.25 for each Kabab (got a total of 6 for ~$14) and what I got was a disgrace: skinny dry pieces of burnt quasi-meat. There are better places now in the area including Shahi Kabab (which needs updating on the inside too) and I saw a sign for Kabab King (not sure if it's going to be good yet). A great Pakistani restaurant with a big menu. My date had the goat/lamb kabab which comes with a small salad (tender, not over cooked, fantastic flavor) and lentil dal which comes with a big round of toasted grilled nan (best I've ever eaten). I had the goat biryani and although I wish it had more goat meat (I love that stuff), it was the best I've even had. This is a little place and while the surroundings are nothing special, the food is glorious. Everything is cooked to order, so be prepared to wait awhile. You could pre-order and have it ready. Be sure to visit the food store next door with extensive selection of middle eastern foods and fresh breads and meats. read more

They are very rude at the takeout counter. He asks for a tip upront and wants you to pay a certain percentage as tip for takeout. They gave us the wrong order and when asked to give us the right one he made a big deal about it. They act like they are doing us a favor. The biryani had 2 tiny bits of meat and not really worth what they charge for. If you belong to a certain religion they'll talk n act nice around you. KWIM. Very bad service. read more

This place has never disappointed me. I always get the Chaplin and shammi kebabs and they taste heavenly. The alu paratha is so light and non oily and tastes like stuffed tandoori roti. The best Pakistani food place in Northern NJ! I haven't found any place closer to where I am unless I go all the way to Edison, NJ. Even then this is the best place for Kababs, Naans, parathas, Samosas, Biryani.. even their Daal Maash (Lentil dish) is excellent!! Takes me back to my days growing up in Pakistan, truly brings the motherland to ur own table in the U.S. Plus, it's affordable and the food is plenty so go ahead and give it a try! read more

What a waste of time. i cannot believe when I opened the take out what I was getting burned out Kabab that tasted as if it was frozen for days. Chicken tikka was very dry and tasteless. I cannot believe I ate that just to avoid wasting food.
