Kerri - Thank you…read morefor your response. I understand that insurance companies determine how much they reimburse for out-of-network providers. However, your office determines its own fees. Because your practice is not contracted with my insurance, you are not limited by negotiated in-network rates, which allows you to charge significantly higher fees. The result is that patients are left responsible for very large out-of-pocket balances. My concern is not with how much my insurance paid. My concern is with the amount your office chose to charge. Even with two excellent dental insurance plans, we were still left with an extremely high balance. In all the years we've had dental coverage, including while living in the Bay Area, we've never experienced fees this high.thank you for reaching out my family and have established care Monterey dental office. She was incredibly thorough, but everything she did was done with such a gentle touch that it honestly felt more like a spa treatment than a dental cleaning. I walked out with my teeth feeling incredibly clean and a smile on my face because the whole experience was so much better than I expected. Everyone at Next Dentistry was friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even better. If you've ever been nervous about going to the dentist, this is the place to go. I was very impressed because they made room to see me the very next day even though I'd never been seen there before. Within 10 minutes of filling out the new patient paperwork, Dr. Grant (I'll address him the Salinas way until I know him better!) saw me. He asked me questions, had me point out where my pain was, examined me, and then had his friendly and professional assistant take me to perform a panoramic x-ray. Again, within a few minutes, he was back. He called me over to monitor to show me the x-ray and explain the picture. The good news is that I did JUST have TMJ, so I didn't actually have any dental work done. I'll update my review when I do need him to work on me! I loved how he took his time with me.
