I'll be honest--walking into a new dental office made me a little nervous, but Darci (the assistant) was so warm and welcoming. She gave me a quick little tour and totally helped ease my nerves. It honestly felt like visiting a friend's office! Dr. Goldman was amazing--super knowledgeable and took the time to go over everything with me. She even complimented the onlays and veneers I had done previously, which made me feel like she really noticed the details. AJ, my hygienist, was also fantastic. He was so professional and made me feel completely at ease while taking my oral records. He asked thoughtful questions about my dental habits and even gave me a few helpful flossing tips I hadn't heard before. Plus, the office is beautiful and fully equipped with modern technology and little touches that remind me of my old dentist's place (which I loved). I've had to go back in twice since having the work done to be checked out. The first time they corrected my bite and the dentist re- drilled to correct it. The whole time he was drilling the shavings were going to the back of my throat, and I was choking he said oh it's just teeth dust lol Also, most of the reception women are very friendly, but every time I speak to Natalie she is so rude and seems like she hates her job. Once I get this problem corrected, I will not be returning to Salinas valley Dental care, sadly. I feel like the staff is overwhelmed because they're taking them more patients than they can handle. Also, the office seems to be following apart their exam rooms have paint peeling off the walls and stained ceiling tiles.

There is little to no wait time upon arriving at our scheduled appointments. Appointments are quick and easy. Every single staff member we engaged with is warm and knowledgeable. A huge win for us is that our kids (11, 8 - we hope to get our 4 year old in soon) all feel really comfortable and at ease when being seen here. We've seen all the dentists and they're all equally great! Their team is always up front and transparent with their findings and if there's any intervention needed, we never feel forced into anything and the front desk is always happy to give pricing/quotes while explaining exactly what's getting billed for. Our 11 year old recently had to get 4 extractions (due to having a small mouth and ortho requested to get them extracted) and Dr. Coe was the GOAT. It was our son's first experience at the dentist for extractions and general anesthesia, and he said he didn't feel anything at all! Dr. Coe (and the whole staff honestly) walked us through everything, made our son feel safe, secure, and seen. What more can you ask for? We anticipate being part of the practice for many many years!

They called to confirm my next appointment and when I told them that I needed to reschedule because…read moreI got called in for work (I'm a nurse on night shift), they were rude and definitely not understanding and let me know I'd be charged $55 for rescheduling because it wasn't 48 hours in advance (but I can't predict when patients are going to need me)! I also drive a 1.5 hour commute for work AND to this clinic if I'm coming from home so they expected me to work 16 hours, get off at 7:30AM and wait around in Salinas until 11AM for a cleaning and then drive 1.5 hours home?? Oddly enough this was after I expressed concerns about how I'd be reaching a $2,000 annual maximum with just X-rays and deep cleanings and then have to pay $1,800 out of pocket for a crown and something else. Seems they're actually more concerned about money than they are about their patients needs. There are other reviews regarding their patients having to pay out of pocket and being conned into using carecredit despite their insurance all because they contract with a doctor out of network and don't mention that. I cancelled all of my appointments and let them know I will happily find a different dental office. I'm not going to spend my money on anyone that doesn't value my time. Neither should anyone else!
