Dr. Zeitoun was my surgeon last year, and I could not recommend him more. I had a lot of anxiety prior to the surgery because the procedure I needed is for a very rare condition. During the initial consult, he thoroughly answered my long list of questions. He is clearly an expert in his field, which is exactly what you should want in a surgeon. The surgery went phenomenally. Out of every doctor who I have ever seen in my 40 years alive, Dr. Z is the most professional, kindest, honest doctor. His staff is available to answer any questions. I have had 3 IUI's and 5 IVF procedures and Dr. Z and his staff have been right by my side through all the ups and downs (i.e. three miscarriages). I have recommended Dr. Z to as many friends as I can who are also trying to have kids - they love the practice as well. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Z and this office. If I could give 0 stars I would. Dirty, disorganized, they don't keep appointments, if you make an appointment at 7, you'll be there until 8:30. The do a poor job explaining anything to you because they are too busy shoving you out the door to take another patient. I seriously regret ever coming here, please don't even think of coming here. They prescribed my medicine and forgot to call it in to the pharmacy, then asked me what it was that they meant to give me?? So unprofessional. Save your time and go somewhere else. read more

Dr. Zeioun is wonderful at what he does. However, he lacks a bedside manner. His staff is absolutely HORRIBLE. From Angeline to Appa. They refuse to inform the patient of any deductibles, procedure codes (so you can check with your insurance on your own) and have the nerve to hit you with an additional 5% if you use your HSA card to pay the bill...... notification of this additional fee is not posted anywhere in the office either !!!!!!!! His employee even had the nerve to tell me that the Dr. had to do more than was originally planned (which he did not have signed consent to do) and that's why my bill was higher and that I am in the wrong for questioning and disputing all of this. Dr. Zeitoun performed my surgery to remove a septum in my uterus. I was very happy. BUT we started IUI treatments with his office. First, they only accept cash, so we had to go get $400 cash each time. Paid cash to them and cash to the lab. We had two IUI's. We let the doctor know we were moving out of state, but wanted to continue treatment. He agreed to this. We traveled to Dr. Zeitoun and spent so much money hoping for results. They don't communicate anything. I know this because I am now with Shady Grove Fertility in Maryland. I was completely ignorant to the process when I got there, my new doctor was surprised. Dr. Zeitoun and staff don't explain anything. I had no idea what was going on when they were doing the ultrasounds and what they were documenting and for what reason. Dr. Zeitoun never explained the reasoning behind the ultrasounds, what the drugs are doing, and what the future could or could not hold. They also never took a beta pregnancy test. They simply said wait to get your period. I didn't even know a beta test existed until I got to my new doc. He did not explain my drug options, they simply gave me the prescription and I filled it. I didn't know what the drugs did and how they worked. When I got to my new doctor they were using terms like follicles, and uterine lining. My new doctor also put me on additional drugs that work in conjunction with the clomid, with Dr. Zeitoun I only used clomid. I did not question anything at the time because I believed that he was the expert and it was just how it goes. My new doctor did not ask me for cash. My new doctor explained every single aspect of IUI treatment from the hormones , the thickness of the uterine lining, to the follicles and what the sizes meant. I felt completely in the dark and hoping for a hail mary pregnancy. Now I know the cycles probably wouldn't have been successful anyway, but the fact that I was not an informed patient really doesn't sit well with me. I spent so much cash on top of that. At a time where every single dime counts, we gave it away. I'm very disappointed. Now they may say my experience was due to the fact that we moved out of town, but they never told us the pros and cons. We liked him and wanted to keep him as our doctor. Now that I understand the process, they should have told us to find a doctor in our state. I love my new doctor at Shady Grove Fertility and I feel in control of my process (as much control as one can have) I still don't understand why we had to pay cash for our treatments, when all I pay now is my co-pay and once in a while a small bill related to labs. read more

I have never seen such a disorganized office. The waiting time is ridiculous, more than 1 hour. No staff in the waiting area. I was told to leave a doctor questionnaire at the front desk but a nurse kept looking for and found it later...The room for blood test was messy. Another nurse threw my blood sample into a box. I could not believe...! I really thought I couldn't trust this office and spend much money here. The doctor is nice, too nice. As soon as I walked into his office, I saw some Chinese stuff and thought his wife must be Chinese. After our consultation, even though so many people were waiting forever, he followed me and stayed with me during taking a blood test in another room. I could see some attractions to me. I am Asian. I felt uncomfortable and very weird. I had just checked him in Zocdoc and Vitals for a doctor before my visit. I googled his name carefully again after my visit and then found the articles about his online dating. Everything makes a sense. I cannot understand why he can still keep his business...Creepy. If you want to feel like a number and not a human, this is the doc! The day before surgery I had to call the office to find out what I need to do and where to go. The office assistant had no information for me. When I showed up in the hospital at 7am they said I am not on schedule but a drop in and it could take all day to wait for a slot. When it was my turn the surgical assistant said " I am sure you doctors office informed you of all what is about to happen"... I had no idea. Dr. Zeitoun passed me in the surgical waiting area with zero recollection who I was. I was simply uterus no. 5. I have never felt this reduced to just a procedure number. The upside was that all NY Downtown Presbyterian employees where nice and professional. I did not have issues since my medical procedure so the surgery itself seemed to be performed ok. read more

I first came to Dr Zeitoun for a abnormal pap and the fact and my husband were unsuccessful with trying to start a family. Dr Zeitoun found cancer lesions on my cervix and did a cone biopsy. He was able to remove them with successful results. Then once he made sure that I am ok and healed we started trying with iuis and being closely monitored by him. I understood everything that was going on. Dr Zeitoun explained everything to me and his staff was as informative. After my 3rd iui I finally conceived with TWINS! Dr Zeitoun was still cautious because I have a weakened cervix from my procedure only a year ago. He recommended a obstetrician for me as he is only on the fertility end. She is absolutely amazing as well. They both decided to put a cerclage in my to close my cervix so I don't suffer from second trimester miscarriage. Just when my new obstetrician was about to operate on my Dr Zeitoun came in the room to tell me everything will be ok. After the surgery I went to recovery where aging Dr Zeitoun came to see me and my husband and to make sure I was ok. What doctor do you know that your not even a patient with anymore, would come to you before and after surgery to make sure you are ok. This man saved my life from cancer and did it so precisely that I have 2 healthy babies on the way. He is the most gifted compassionate doctor that is out there and is so knowledgeable. I hope you take a few minutes to read my story - if you don't have the time, my last paragraph has a quick review on him - which also adresses women that maybe lost hope of getting pregnant and having a baby. I have nothing but the best to say about dr. Zeitoun. He changed my life and my husband's life in the greatest way possible, he made us parents of a set of two most wonderful and sweet set of twins, a boy and a girl. I have been trying to get pregnant for many years unsuccessfully, first on my own then went to a facility - very well known facility for its great success NYPH on 70th st NYC - where my husband and i felt i was "another piece of meat on a conveyer belt", a very busy place that doesn't take their time that each individual needs to have their problems looked into/fixed, not quite happy with the place overall, very very expensive services on top of it all... yes, they did a few tests but nothing really showed a specific problem, they called them "inconclusive"...i felt they just went along with the fertility treatment and if it worked it worked if it didn't then we'll see... So after a failed treatment at NYPH, with no answers as to why i couldn't get pregnant and why it didn't work i started looking for another doctor. Dr. Zeitoun was highly recommended to me and i can honestly say he was a wonderful doctor from the first minute i met him. He was very professional, very thorough, first took his time to review my records from the previous facility, looked into what was done and repeated the tests that were inconclusive, he found some problems which he discussed with me and my husband, he decided i needed surgery to fix those problems - problems i had no idea i had since the other place did not even mention to me as being an issue. Shortly after i had the surgery - and he gave me the ok to start the fertility treatments we went along with his recomendations, this whole time he was very patient, took his time in explaining how things work, what to expect - even though i am a nurse, i know almost nothing about fertility treatments - so he always took his time to explain what to expect and how things are going to go. His staff is also awesome, always pleasant, patient and accommodating. Yes, the waiting time was most times about 45min - 1 hr but that is what you get when you have to see a good doctor, that is what tells me that he is a very busy one. After a few unsuccessful trials i got pregnant, but after 6 weeks there was no heart beat on ultrasound so i had to have a d&c done. Dr. Zeitoun was very supportive, pointed out the positives - it was the very first time i had ever gotten pregnant - so he gave me hope... Shortly after my d&c once he gave me the ok to have another treatment we went along with a fresh new cycle (whoever has gone through fertility trials knows what that means), and this last time it was a great success, i got pregnant with twins, he followed me closely all along - since i was considered an "at risk pregnancy" - always did ultrasounds and assured me everything was ok. He then recommended one of the ob-gyn's at NYPH Lower Manhattan to continue to follow me for the rest of my pregnancy - dr. F. - which was another great doctor all around - and the whole time throughout my pregnancy dr. Zeitoun kept checking on me through dr. F., they talked about my case often, made sure i'm on the right medications to help me carry out the pregnancy till the end safe. Not only that he made me feel secure, he also made me feel confident about his decision making, he showed me he wasn't just a doctor, i wasn't just another case to him...he showed he really cares about his patients and truly loves what he does. I recommended him to a friend, which also got pregnant after seeking treatment in dr. Zeitoun's facility, and i will continue to reccomend him in the future. He changed our lives forever in the best possible way and every day i look at my babies i smile and am grateful for meeting Dr. Zeitoun for he gave us the best gift someone can ever ask for, becoming parents.
