Would not recommend. Took the vehicle in with a coolant hose issue. Directed them to the hose needing replaced, and they replaced a different hose. Once they replaced the correct hose it was $1600 repair after labor costs. Within one drive it needed to go back to the shop becuase one of the plastic clamps on the hose they had just replaced was already cracked (possibly over tightened the clamp). They don't listen to the customer and over charge. Avoid at all costs. read more

IF ya do business with these guys, I suggest you first bend over and grab your ankles. They were recommended by someone, don't recall who it was but..........I took my car, a Crossfire in for diagnostics on an inoperable top operation. That diagnosis cost me twice (2X, near $ 400.00) what other shops charge. I was told that the entire convertible top parts needed to be replaced and the only place to get these parts was from somewhere in California at a price of 3 K, no price on the replacement of said parts until the work was done. They showed me Hydraulic fluid under the car and was told it was from one of my car's leaks. I asked for a printout of the diagnosis; was told, for some reason they could only get the first two pages of printout for my records. To me that smelled. In short, I found a mechanic who replaced the two top cylinders (located in the trunk) for $ 500.00 parts and labor, rebuilt parts from Oregon, not CA. That is the only repairs needed, and the so-called Hydraulic leak was not from my car. IF it had been from my car, it would have been from another source according to my mechanic, the oil spot was not there when they parked my car in the garage, so I was supposed to fall for this ruse. No leaks since then, figure that out? I do not know where and how they get their 5-star reviews but as you can see on YELP there are several 1-star reviews from victims such as me, for me it could have been much worse had I not been suspicious. IF you take your car there, be prepared to give them a blank check. read more

Excellent care of my car & me. Diagnosed and provided quality service. Will definitely be going back.

Trust these guys 100%. They told me repairing my car probably wouldn't make it sell for more to a dealership instead of lying to me and convincing me to go through with a 1000 dollar repair read more

I came here because I was having transmission issues and saw their good reviews on yelp. The staff were all so friendly and straight foreword. Kevin and Scott both gave me clear and honest information about the best/ most realistic way to fix my car. I can confirm the positive Yelp reviews are true! I really appreciated their help. read more

I went in there recently to have them troubleshoot an issue with a jolt my car was having when the automatic transmission went from 1st to 2nd. They found something wrong with the engine mount and repaired that, assuming that would resolve the issue. It did not, as I found when I picked the car up. I'm giving them a 5 star review because they acknowledged the mistake and gave me a full refund for the repair. I think that shows honesty and responsibility that a lot of other places would not have done. read more

We came in without an appointment on a long trip after we discovered a panel under the car dragging. They took us right in and fixed it quick and easy. Highly appreciate them read more

My cousins daughter moved here for school from California. She took her Wrangler to Olathe Jeep which turned out to be a big mistake. They told her she needed all kinds of repairs that in-fact she did not! We took the Jeep to Kevin and he knew what it needed. If you have a vehicle that you want someone who is honest and knowledgeable to repair take it to KH Automotive in Mission Ks. read more

Scott is awesome. Took the time to walk me through a situation where I had inadvertently tripped the alarm on my Land Rover and immobolized the car. Got me back up and running over the phone. Highly recommend this team of experts. read more

Kevin is the most trustworthy mechanic I know. He's done phenomenal work for me over the years.

Recently moved back to Kansas and were sad to be leaving behind our trusted mechanic. We have had excellent service for both of our cars at KH. read more

I needed help clearing an airbag fault code, this is a 5 minute exercise once you have the right tool. Other mechanics told me they were going to charge me a diagnostic fee $60 and that I would have to set up a time for this. The guys at KH Automotive did it for free and on top of that they stayed later than their normal working hours to help me with my issue since I told them I was on my way. Very honest and great customer service. Will definitely recommend these guys to all my friends and will use them for my future automotive needs. read more

"Not good" is too good of a rating. Extremely obnoxious, arrogant, and threatening. told my husband he didn't want this car at his shop, but since he didn't listen, we would pay. There was obvious damage caused by a possum ( caught two possum in a live trap, possum droppings under the hood and chewed wiring). This man was so vindictive, he called back to say he saw no damage due to an animal and he is going to be sure to let out insurance know so they won't pay. Who does that? We weren't ask for anything except an estimate. If you don't want to do estimates on cars, then don't advertise that you provide that service. But to tell a customer, "Your going to pay for bring this vehicle here when I didn't want to look at it". Karma will catch up with you if this is how customers are treated! BE WARNED! read more

Kevin and his team are knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy and deliver exactly what they say they will do for the price they quote. What else could you ask for in a mechanic?!? read more

Short version: I love these guys. Long version: Today I left work not feeling well and was making a beeline for my bed when my tire popped. I was about to pull onto the shoulder when I spotted this place I *barely* got my car to their lot, walked in and basically said, "I need help." Kevin pulled my car right into the garage, installed my spare and wouldn't even let me pay. (I later found out he's been a "master technician" for 20 years, so this was WAY below his pay grade.) These guys were so sweet, and helped me turn a pretty crappy situation into a genuinely good day. If you ever need anything done on your car (or just want to be reminded that there are still good people in the world), they have earned your business! read more

After moving down to the Kansas City area about 2.5 years ago, I was on the lookout for a great indy shop for my 91 Mercedes 500SL. It took me years to find a great shop in Minneapolis, and I hoped the search would not be as long in KC. After taking the car into one indy shop (Star Motors) and having a horrible experience, I was very concerned how much time and money my quest for a great shop would be. Turns out, it did not take long. KH was mentioned on one of the MB boards, and I was so pleased to find them. Their prices are very reasonable, their techs are top notch, and they stand behind their work 100%. It is disappointing to find so many shops not as honest about what repairs really need to be done, and not stand behind their work. The way KH operates seems like a no-brainier for a great business model . Do good work, stand behind it, charge reasonable prices, treat your customers with respect, and not only do your customers come back, they tell others and your business grows. Keep up the great work guys! read more

Honest mechanic shop and quality work. They always make an effort to explain things to me in layman's terms which is a breath of fresh air. They informed me about some future service issues to expect on a car I was looking at buying, which helped me make a better educated decision. This is my go to spot for maintenance on my ride. read more

Great, great auto shop. There are quick with repairs. They seem very thorough in making their diagnosis on the repairs needed. I'll keep coming back here. read more

I had my 6th annual maintenance for my Mercedes C300 done at KH Automotive. I went on recommendations from the MB boards. I was very pleased. The 6th includes the spark plug change so it's a big one. The price was reasonable, particularly compared to the dealer. I also appreciated their straightforward advice and the fact that estimated fees were what they actually charge with no upsell. I recommend them. read more

This shop is the greatest!! I took my Mercedes SUV to them after reading reviews. They did a great job doing the 50k tuneup and charged me a lot less than the dealership. I planned on going back. Which takes me to my unbelievable (but real!) story. I went through a McD's drive thru and my low tire light came on. I wasn't sure what the problem was so I drove back to my office, by the time I parked the tire was completely flat. I called my husband and he planned on replacing with the temp tire when he had a break at work. KH is down the street from my office so I called to see if they could fix the tire when we got it off. The owner sent 2 of his guys to my office to take off the tire, replace it with the temp, and take my tire to the shop. When they couldn't patch it they took it miles from their shop to Goodyear. How much did they charge me? Nothing. I almost felt guilty after all they had done for me. I hope sharing this story shows what a caring business KH Automotive is. read more

I don't normally write reviews but I thought the guys at KH Automotive really deserved the positive press. Thanks to the other reviews I found I decided to give them a try and I am very glad I did. I called them and asked them to quote front and rear brakes for my 2010 E550 and they quickly returned my call with a price quote and told me they could get me in the very next day. So I dropped my car off the next morning. They called me about an hour after I dropped it off and told me that I only needed front brakes. They could have easily just told me I needed front and rear but they appear to be a very honest shop. My car was done by early afternoon at a reasonable price and everything was great! Also, the friendliness and care they showed the other customers while I was in the office was truly exceptional. I even overheard them tell another customer that they inspect vehicles that they are considering for purchase for free. Their words were "they would rather catch it before the purchase rather than after". You really dont find that kind of customer support and honesty anymore. I have very high standards for customer support and these guys really impressed me. I have found a new mechanic shop and am very excited about that! read more

Do you love your car? Do you like being treated with respect? Would you prefer NOT to be "taken" by a dealership or other repair shops? I suggest you stop here then. They aren't out to get your money and rip you off. Kevin is the superstar of Mechanics and I'm not just saying that because I'm related, I'm saying it because it's true! Take my word for it :) read more

Today, for the first time, I took my old Honda to KH Automotive because it was making a "clunking" sound in the left front tire area. My past experiences with other auto repair facilities, told me that when I tell them that I can't specifically identify what the problem is, this could open a door of opportunity for the facility to tell me anything about the problem and charge a hideous amount for the "repair". This was DEFINITELY NOT the case with KH. They found the problem (a small piece of bungee cord had somehow lodged in my suspension) and fixed the problem at no charge. Scott and the crew at KH Automotive exemplify honesty and integrity. Those are two qualities that are rarely found in the auto repair industry. read more

Highly recommend! They are honest and always accommodate our schedule. They do great work at very reasonable prices. We have had several cars in our family repaired there and they always do a fantastic job. We trust them! read more

These guys are amazing. I have a 2005 E320 Mercedes 4matic and they are the only place I get my car serviced. Absolutely top notch service. Impeccable customer care. Super honest-- seriously if I could give them a 10 I would. They not only serviced my car, but also my husband's Volkswagon CC. My husband and I were actually thinking of trading in the CC and they guys at KH actually gave of recommendations of what type of car to purchase next. Do not hesitate to come here. read more

Highly recommended. Did great electrical work on my 90 Buick Reatta. Price was very reasonable. Excellent shop. Excellent reputation.

I'm not one who generally writes bad reviews, but feel this one is worth my time. One of the employees who works at this location and directly related to the owner was suppose to sell me one of their used Mercedes, being my car had broken down unexpectedly. He assured me it would be ready that Thursday and we had an understanding I would be without a car, so it was rather important we kept this date. He sends an email that Thursday morning telling me he had a family emergency and couldn't get the car ready. Now, I understand life happens and am an easy going person so I said OK,,he continued to tell me he would do his best to have it done this weekend. I called him yesterday and today and received no response. A simple text or some kind of communication would have been greatly appreciated being I have 3 part time jobs and was counting on this car for the last week and a half. In my opinion, that was very inconsiderate and shows lack of integrity.. I would not recommend this auto shop to anyone. read more

After a horrendous experience with Aristocrat, it was such a welcome reprieve to meet Charlie and Kevin at KH Automotive. They were able to get me the best deal on, and completely replace, the engine in my Range Rover, and everything has been fantastic since. Why spend 2-3 times more at Aristocrat where you're treated like crap, when you can get better service, better prices, and better communication at KH Automotive? These guys are truly top notch, and will be my mechanic of choice as long as I have a Land Rover. Class acts guys, keep it up! read more

This garage came highly recommended on Mercedes owner websites. We took in our car for the 40K mile check which is a very expensive one. Their quote was almost half of the dealership cost. The techs are really nice, service area is clean and we were really pleased with their work. About 2 months afterward, I had a fluid light come on and brought the car by to be checked out. They topped the fluid off right away, and didn't charge me at all. I feel that they really value their customers, and try to treat them right. That treatment will earn them repeat business. read more

Took my car here for an oil change and to have an engine knock noise diagnosed. I was told the knocking noise was nothing to worry about but my headgaskets were blown and needed to be replaced, a $2500 job. I said okay but make sure to fix the knocking noise- was told it was just a button on the cam. They told me it would be a week long job but it took closer to 3 weeks. I called several times to check on the progress and remind them to fix the knocking noise. I finally get my car back and guess what, knocking noise from engine is still there. I took my car back and was told my car did not have the button on the cam so that wasnt it. No effort was made to stop and think about what else could be causing the knock noise and no call was made to me informing that wasnt it. I was told it was the lifters and it was nothing to worry about, they told me several times it was nothing to worry about. Fast forward about 8 months... I decided to have my lifters replaced to get rid of this noise. Took my car to a different shop and without even running a test was told that it was not the lifters making that noise but something in the lower engine, possibly rod bearings. Sure enough thats what it was and the diagnosis was I need a new engine, I had a second shop confirm this.... They should have known and diagnosed the knocking noise correctly when I went in for an oil change. I basically flushed $2500 down the toilet, that money should have gone towards a new engine. If you are thinking about taking your vehicle here, don't!!!!!! read more
