I had a very disappointing experience here…read more I brought in two rolls of 35mm film simply to have them developed (no scans or prints, as I have my own scanner at home). When I was told they don't offer "develop only," I said "that's a shame, no problem" and began to leave. Instead of ending the interaction there, the owner questioned why it was "a shame" and began explaining that there's "no money" in just developing film and that it's not worth it for him. He implied that I wasn't bringing enough business and suggested I should just learn to develop film myself. When I mentioned I already know how but don't have the equipment at home, he continued asking what lab I usually go to and what scanner I use, then laughed at my setup. At that point the conversation felt condescending and unnecessary. I was not upset that he doesn't offer develop-only services -- that's his right. What upset me was being made to feel like I was doing something wrong simply by requesting a service and being willing to pay for it. After the exchange escalated, he then offered to do the developing anyway, and eventually even said he would do it for free. By that point, the interaction had already become uncomfortable and argumentative, and I no longer felt confident giving him my business. A simple "we don't offer that service" would have been perfectly fine. Instead, the interaction became unprofessional and dismissive. I cannot recommend this shop based on how customers are treated. Also check out the response the owner Rick gave to my review on Google on the image attached. His response tells us far more about him as a person. 1. "We do not offer Dev. only and our website reflects that." This is deflection. My review already acknowledged that it's his right not to offer that service. That was never the core complaint. He's reframing the issue into something easier to defend -- policy -- instead of behavior. That's a classic move when someone doesn't want to address tone or conduct. 2. "Established 1998... devotion and love of photography..." That's credential shielding. When someone leans on years in business or passion as a defense, it usually means they don't want to examine how they handled a specific interaction. Longevity good customer service. 3. "The rest of your review is just a personal rant..." That's the tell. He didn't: Acknowledge my experience Apologize for any misunderstanding Say he's sorry I felt uncomfortable Clarify his intent Offer to make it right He labeled my review as emotional and dismissed it. That's ego protection. What this tells me about him * He takes criticism personally * He reacts defensively * He reframes instead of reflecting * He likely believes he did nothing wrong * He prioritizes being right over being relational Zero accountability in that response. A business owner with strong emotional intelligence would say something like: "I'm sorry the interaction came across that way. That was not my intention. While we don't offer develop-only services, I regret that the conversation felt uncomfortable." That would have neutralized everything. Instead, he escalated by calling it a rant. "because of a short, first time interaction". In business, first impressions are everything Mr. Rafik Keshishi.

Hi hesitate to write this review because my interaction was so brief... no money was exchanged, but…read moreI did try to give this man my business. Whoever the guy was that came out from the back room. (I'm assuming it was Rick, gave me the most unfriendly welcome I think I've ever experienced at any business. I walked in smiling and greeting him by name telling him I'm the one who had called about transferring two 8mm film rolls to digital. Without getting into too much detail, what he quoted me over the phone turned out to be less than accurate and not the full story. He did not tell me there was a minimum amount of film rolls to get the price he quoted me. So not only was he unfriendly, he was also not forthcoming.

*** 2026 Season - April 4, 2026 - May 17, 2026 ***…read more The Original Renaissance Pleasure Faire is an annual event that originally started in 1963 and has since moved to its current location at the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area in Irwindale, California. Our party saw ads for the faire on social media and decided to check it out. [Parking]: The faire highly recommends entering the recreation area via the 210 exit off Irwindale Ave (#38) rather than following GPS and exiting from the 605. There is a $15 entry fee to enter the Santa Fe Dam Recreation Area (advance purchase not required). There is no street parking here so don't even bother trying. There is also an additional $30 fee for a VIP parking pass (so $15 entry fee + $30 VIP parking) and VIP parking is limited to 300 vehicles each Faire day & requires advance online purchase. If you plan to arrive after 11 AM, then I highly recommend getting a VIP parking pass to avoid the long traffic lines for general parking as the main Jousting Tournament starts at 12 PM. Our party arrived at 9:15 AM and there was already waiting lines to get into the general parking lot, but our party had no issue with general parking as the staff guided the line of cars and my car ended up parked pretty close to the faire entrance. [Ticket]: $53 for adults. Members of the military with valid IDs, seniors age 62+, and AAA members receive $5 off tickets purchased at the box office. Doors open at 10 AM. The faire also offers the Pub Crawl show that departs at 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM, and 2:30 PM. Please note that the Pub Crawl sells out quickly and does not include admission to The Renaissance Pleasure Faire (an additional $90 per person). [Entering & amenities]: There is a basic security check before entering the fairgrounds. One factory-sealed water bottle is allowed per person. No pets are allowed at the faire except service animals. Strollers and wagons of all sizes are welcome. There are no lockers or bag check services at the faire. Almost all restrooms are porta-potties. [Costumes]: Approximately 75% of visitors were already wearing costumes, but it is not mandatory. There is a costume rental shop located just inside the front gates of the faire with adult-sized costumes ranging from $18 - $65 (average price around $39). [What to expect]: Few activities and foods our party wanted to try included watching a Jousting Tournament and eating a chimney cake. There were approximately 125 vendors and the faire was fairly easy to navigate since visitors mainly follow one route. Most entertainment shows start at 11 AM and there are three time slots for the jousting show: 12 PM, 2 PM, and 5 PM. There are also many fairground games like archery + axe throwing + human-powered rides, but unfortunately they cost extra money. Also feel free to interact with the townspeople to make this whole experience more immersive. [Food]: Top highlighted items include turkey legs, chimney cake, and steak on a stake. Our party had a beef chimney cake for $18 (cash only) and honestly it was pretty mediocre. [Tips]: Bring an umbrella or wear plenty of sunscreen as the weather can get pretty hot and there are not many shaded areas. Also bring cash as vendors selling alcohol and many other art & craft vendors only accept cash. Also don't wear shoes you don't want to get dirty because my sneakers were covered in dirt after the visit. Most importantly come early before the doors open to avoid the crowds after 12 PM. [Conclusion]: Personally this is a one-and-done medieval-era experience.

He took…read morethe time to understand exactly how I wanted the line run and followed my requests perfectly along the eave, into the attic, and straight into my electronics closet with a clean, professional finish. I was previously with another provider whose service constantly dropped, so I had high expectations for both the install and the setup. Justin exceeded them. He was friendly, extremely polite, and very respectful of my property. He worked neatly, cleaned up after himself, and made sure everything was done right the first time. He even wiped down the attic door to remove fingerprints before leaving. I am OSHA 30 certified and have worked as a foreman, so I pay close attention to how people work. I could tell immediately that he was highly experienced and worked safely at all times. He used the proper ladder for each part of the job and rotated through three ladders, two extension ladders outside and one A frame ladder inside, which showed real professionalism and attention to safety. It is rare to get an installer who really listens, works safely, and takes pride in the quality of their work. If you get Justin for your install, you are in great hands.
