No apology for the error. "I don't know who you talked to, but you're not in the schedule. It shows you canceled." I tried to reschedule. Next appointment that worked with my schedule was a week out. I booked the appointment, but commented that I was going to call and see if I could get someone else out sooner. The guy became really rude. AD: "I'm gonna cancel. You want me to cancel?" Me: "No, don't cancel." AD: "But you said you were gonna call someone else. I need to free up the appointment if you're not going to show." Me: "I will call and cancel IF I find someone else." AD: "If you're just going to cancel again, I'll cancel you now." Me: "I DIDN'T CANCEL THE FIRST TIME. KEEP THE APPOINTMENT. I WON'T CALL ANYONE ELSE." He sounded offended that, after a scheduling error on their part and waiting two weeks for an appointment, I would look around for something earlier. I've had good service from them before. But this guy has single-handedly turned me away from Action Door.

He had to come back twice because we ended up having to replace part of my garage door. Six months later, I called again because the door was stuck half open and a different tech arrived. He seemed angry and stressed out from the moment he exited his truck and interrupted me dismissively when I tried to ask a question. As I tried to follow his instructions, he got progressively more frustrated and then accused me of arguing with him, said "this isn't going to work out" and drove off. It was surreal.

The guy who answered the phone explained that the control board was bad and that they would not repair it, rather they suggested that I buy an new unit from them for about $600 dollars. Instead I called another more professional garage door repair company and all it took was about 20 minutes of work and they got the door working better then before it stopped. Cost was about $90. I would advise being careful when contacting East Side Garage Door for service; my experience was that rather then scheduling service they tried to upsell me a way too expensive solution to the rather simple problem.
