Having studied the menu online, I knew what I wanted when I walked in. My choice was the "1 Piece Jolly Crispy Chicken with Palabok Fiesta." With a handle like that, it had to be good. For good measure, I also ordered a Pineapple Quencher, and a Peach/Mango Pie. The menu is simple, straightforward and brief. Not a wide selection, but enough of everything that is good. Quencher was in my hand as I left the counter, and the balance of my meal came out in about 8 minutes. The restaurant was steady, but not busy. I love a good noodle dish, and the Palabok Fiesta was a surprising treat. Great flavours and textures, with well cooked noodles. The chicken drumstick was truly excellent. Crispy on the outside, and juicy within, perfectly cooked. The Peach/Mango Pie gave me 70's McDonald's flashbacks, but it was delicious, and much better than Ronald's pies. The Pineapple Quencher was sublime, but needed some rum. Jolibee is a juggernaut, and it is easy to see why. This was the cleanest fast food restaurant I have seen in ages. The service is friendly and very professional, and the food ranks above most fast food chains of my experience. Jollibee Tamarack is the first fast food joint I have ever given 5 stars. However, we (my husband and I) dined inside once, and we watched as about 10 people who ordered after us got their food before us. The service was ridiculously slow, but when we finally got our food it was good and hot. I did feel a little jipped though, as several of my tenders were tiny, and very strangely shaped... The second time we went we used the drive through. There were about 5 cars ahead of us in line, but it was very fast, surprisingly! They obviously put more effort into moving the drive through along than taking care of their customers who dine in. This time though, I got normal tenders. From now on, we'll just go through drive through to get our food faster. P.S. the spicy tenders look the same as the plain tenders.
