Every once in a while, I get a craving for KFC Original Recipe. I know it's not good for me, but shit, it's so tasty! I mostly fry chicken at home, but I do enjoy this fatty, greasy chicken, too. I don't love their sides... The Mac and Cheese used to be one of my favorites, but I think I got a hold of some one time that was old or something, because it was not how I remembered it. I'm not a fan of coleslaw in general, so I would not be the one to ask about that. I used to love their wedges, but they no longer have those. In all, I really like this KFC. The staff has always been nice, which is a huge plus and you don't have to wait too long for your food. Rarely have I seen where they're super busy. The prices have definitely gone up, so don't be surprised. The only thing I wish they would update or renovate is the drive thru...that's gotta be the tightest drive thru I have ever been in. Mom and I visited this KFC on 5/22/2022 in the evening about 6. When you walk in you get the feeling this business has been around for awhile but, it was really clean. The young Hispanic girl was very helpful and efficient (so much so we tipped her) we had take away so, the food was hot and really good, the sporks and napkins were in the bag. Overall an A experience, definitely recommend. Side note: mom got mashed potatoes instead of Mac and cheese but I got Mac and cheese so we shared. You know what, I didn't cus once in this review. After being told by the person at the drive-through tonight that it would be 20 minutes to get two pieces of extra crispy chicken. This is the second time something like this is happened with the same person at the drive-through. This happened tonight at around 6:50 PM-ish, the person has a terrible attitude and has no business dealing with the public whatsoever. I went to this store to place a large order and at first the manager (sorry, didn't get her name) was friendly and seemingly wanting to help but once she started ringing up the order she started telling me "how expensive this was going to be" and " are you sure you want to do this?". That lead me to believe that 1. She thought I couldn't afford to pay and/or 2. They did not want to work to get this order done. I just picked up an 8 piece original, chicken only, about a half hour ago and was really looking forward to the moist, tender chicken and tantalizing herbs and spices that make KFC such a mainstay in America. My friends were looking forward to it also. What a complete disappointment. The outside of the chicken was dark in color and darn near as crunchy as the their crispy recipe. There was absolutely NO flavor at all left in the skin and coating other than the taste of old fry oil. The chicken itself was dry and flavorless. In fact it left a nasty aftertaste that is still lingering. This chicken should have been thrown out hours ago. I've had better chicken from Vons that had been sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours. I have taken the other half of the order and thrown it in the trash. It was completely uneatable. What a complete waste of $20. Next time I'll just eat the 20 dollar bill as it most likely has more flavor than the trash I received today.
