    My disgusting chicken breast

    Seeing as how these guys have a 1.9 rating, it's highly unlikely that my review is going to make any real difference, but here goes: I pulled up in the drive thru around 5:25pm. Drove all this way specifically to try the 'new' classic chicken sandwich. I was the only car in line & the young lady who took my order sounded pleasant. Once I paid, I was asked to pull up to the curb while they made my order. I asked about how long the wait was (only asked because I needed to make it to the meat market before 6pm). As she was replying, "Not long . . ." she suddenly said, "Never mind. Here it is!" & handed me a sandwich barely stuffed in the bag. As in the brown paper KFC bag was still partially folded, but the sandwich itself is in one of those thick foil lined pouch / bags. I thanked her & drove off. When I made it to the traffic light, it became clear that I had been given a spicy chicken sandwich. Just pulling it out of the pouch my fingers were coated with spicy mayo. This would have been my first meal of the day, so I was hungry. & I couldn't turn around & go back & make it to the meat market before 6pm. I knew I did not want to drive back to Powder Springs after the meat market, so I tried a bite. Nope. Nope. Nope. So I drove to the meat market, then schlepped my way back to the KFC to exchange the sandwich. When I got back, I explained that they had given me the wrong sandwich. The friendly young lady - did not offer me an apology - instead she said "Oh." & then she asked me to pull off & park so they could bring my refund. I guess I must have looked at her oddly because she said "they couldn't refund me while there was an order on the screen" - whatever that meant. There was a car parked right in front of me - awaiting food & a car behind me. The cashier didn't want me to blow the horn, so I had to back up (with her help), then cut hard, praying not to hit either car. I pull around & park. I see not one, but two more cars get their orders while I'm waiting. Finally, I pull back around to the window. They give me CASH - instead of refunding my card. When I asked for the manager (so I could explain my disappointment with the level of customer service received), the young lady went to get him - but came back & said he wouldn't come out of the office. A handsome, but VERY baby-faced young man (looked to be around 16 years old) came to the window. He said he was the shift manager but between his mask & the way all the young folks mumble now - it was actually the cashier who had to explain to me what he was saying. SO - I proceeded to explain to BOTH of these young people why I was not happy - 1) I did not pay with cash & did not want cash back; 2) I felt like the LEAST one can do when you make an error is offer an apology on behalf of the business & 3) this was not my error - yet I'm being made to wait - after driving all the way back to the store while staff prioritizes new customer orders. While I was talking, another young man (didn't get his name, but looks a little like Chance the Rapper with a mustache - lol) comes over to the window. The 'shift manager' walks off while I'm speaking. The female cashier did say that she 'didn't realize I didn't want cash back', but went on to say that 'only the manager could refund it back.' The same manager who refused to come talk to me??? Next I hear someone either singing or imitating me - not sure which. The cashier apologized for not apologizing earlier & I drove off. Frankly - with all these poor reviews regarding customer service & subpar food - I really don't understand how they stay in business. I'm all for young people working & learning responsibility. Working in fast food requires a person with a lot of patience & pleasant & positive attitude. & every time I see an article where a customer shoots at a fast food worker - or assaults a fast food worker (physically or verbally) - my heart just drops. I feel like - Dang, these folks need 'danger pay!' Having said that - if you do not have the right temperament / attitude for this type of work, PLEASE get a job working somewhere that does not require interaction with the public. (I have worked as a server, a housekeeper & a cashier at a 'super store.' Hated every minute of it. But I always put on my 'actress hat' & acted as though I was having the best day ever. All while looking for a new job.) And to the person who owns this location - PLEASE consider hiring a few more adults - ones who will lead by example & not hide away in the office. The expression 'the lunatics are running the asylum' comes to mind. PS: I used to have a client in the area - would stop here every time I was in the vicinity. But the food was consistently old & dried out. So I stopped visiting, even when I was in the neighborhood. Today's visit was my first time at KFC in about 6 months. And my first time back at THIS particular KFC in about 2 years. It saddens me to see that things have gotten worse instead of better.

    I went to here a long time ago once I ordered some fried chicken it took 30 minutes for them to make it.

It has a strange smell and an oil film on it. I'm assuming it came to the restaurant prepared in slices and frozen as it is also VERY dry. They do not use the traditional pita bread, which is what I was expecting. They used a tortilla instead. OMG it is terrible. It's a stale, dried out on the edges tortilla! This is one of the worst meals I've had in a long time.

With this establishment I was allowed to enter and stand inside to wait on my food . From my observation, I believe it was because I had on a mask . There was only one customer whom didn't have on a mask. The staff asked that customer to provide a phone number and he'd receive a call when his order is ready . I like the way it was handled . Since some customers refuse to wear a mask and employees shouldn't be responsible for trying to enforce wearing a mask and get involved in an argument with a customer. Good job Wingstop ! Upon my arrival I was greeted by 2 very nice young men. One was seated and on his phone...I assumed he was on a break..and the other was a cook. The cook asked if I had placed an order or if I was picking up. I was placing an order so he told me to wait a minute. He went to the back and came back and told me that I had to place the order online because the manager was on break. WTF!! He said they could not touch the register. I was about to leave when a woman came out of the bathroom and asked if I had been helped. I places my order and it came up to $17+...I only ordered an 8pc!! I was charged $2 extra for all flats...when did THAT uncharted increase?!!! Ok, I get it. As I'm waiting for my food I'm looking at my receipt and I see I have been upcharged for a drink. When I asked THE GENERAL MANAGER (who is running the register...the one who was in the bathroom) why I was charged, she told me they upcharge "walk-ins". WHAT?!!! I did not see any sign that says this is their practice and it just doesn't sound like something that should be happening. This practice is deceptive and as far as I'm concerned, it's THEFT. She gave me the District Manager's name when I asked, and refunded my money. I hope to find out the owner's information so I can complain to them too. America's greed is out of control. ​
