I would give this location a 5 star review but today we ordered and a piece of our chicken was left out. This is the second time this has happened at this location. We live about 10 miles from the store so we didnt notice the missing food until getting home both times. Im not gonna drive another 20 miles because somebody in the kitchen can't count or are really hungry. The next time we order, I will be counting my chicken pieces at the counter and informing everyone as to why and why they should also check their orders. The food from here always tastes great but things like this can't go unmentioned. read more

When I was in high school (early '70's) I earned my tuition money working at KFC (you could do that then). There were certain things we always did, properly count what went into a bucket of chicken. Four thighs, three legs, one breast and one wing did not make an eight piece bucket. Cole slaw tasted right, gravy was great, mashed potatoes were slightly less thick than the gravy. Service was very quick. Maybe more time could have been spent in preparation and counting. read more

We both worked all day and really tired. We spent 32.00 for 8 piece chicken dinner. We told her extra crispy. We got home and it was horribly mushy skin and dry chicken. Called the manager John and he didn't care that we will never eat there again. I told him I'm calling corporate and he said here's the number. We were already home and he told us to come back. If we wanted a refund to bring the food back. I said I'm tired. He said then come tomorrow. They lost our business and I'm posting this everywhere. read more

KFC - This is not extra Crispy and this is what we got Horrible - Fast Food Near Me - Maryville, Tennessee

KFC is pretty much the same everywhere. The service here is always friendly. Mistakes can happen anywhere and what really matters is how it's resolved. We had problems with our order and the manager made sure everything was made right and did so in a great way, which speaks volumes to me that she does genuinely care. Very appreciated. read more

There were three customers and I got mine to go. Only to get home and find out it was missing half the things I ordered. Ridiculous!!

fries were mid, workers are terrible with service, it was slight clean, and the worst part. chicken was NOT finger lickin good . never going here again, don't go either if you see this, trust me. read more

I went to KFC at Foothills mall. Maryville Tn. They were OUT of chicken! They still had 1 hour and 10 mins before close. I ended up getting chicken tenders which were not tender at all. They've been sitting in the pan for a while. Or wherever they keep the cooked chicken. Strips were cold as well. The 4 bites of Mac n cheese tasted good. They've made the serving size very small. And the Dr pepper needs to be changed. There was more soda water then Dr pepper syrup. So to sum it up. It sucked! How can a manager of a fast food place that specializes in "chicken" not have any cooked and ready to serve??? I won't be going back to this location! District manager of this location needs to make the people at this location have food to serve! August 22,2023. Website won't accept my photo of order. read more

It doesn't seem to matter what kind of meal they make. It's always extremely disappointing. I worked here about four years ago and the management was absolutely ridiculous. They used to have me clock out at 10 o'clock but continue to work me in till 11:30 PM on top of that the manager used it to get so angry, that she would go in her office and eat a Xanax just to deal with the employees. Everything about KFC and Taco Bell is a disgrace if nobody knows the story behind KFC and Taco Bell, I encourage you to look it up read more

We moved to Maryville a month ago. Tonight was the first time a drive thru worker was rude...and I mean rude. I confronted him and as a result, our food order was way off. Ordered 2 piece meal with French fries and Mtn Dew Received a single chicken leg, plain mashed potatoes and a Diet Pepsi Ordered a popcorn chicken combo with cole slaw and sweet tea Received stone cold popcorn chicken, plain mashed potatoes and a glass of ice with a sip of tra Ordered a family size mashed potatoes and gravy Received an individual mashed potato...no gravy Tried to call store to discuss, nobody would answer. The reviews here are roasting this place and every kfc where I'm from is terrible. I haven't had it in years because of how bad it is in Indiana. Anyway tried this location now that I live near by and heard kfc had really good chicken sandwiches. What the heck give it a shot. The spicy chicken sandwich is the best I've had from anywhere and surpassed chic fil a skinny expensive sandwich. The staff was friendly and the place was clean (also a big change from indy) the sides taste like cafeteria food. The fries were surprisingly good. read more

1. The management staff are buffoons and are unable to answer simple questions accurately. 2. The staff are rude and unfriendly 3. The store is unclean. KEEP AWAY ITS NASTY read more

Food quality was/ is typical KFC chicken, Good enough to keep going back. However, I find it appalling when a business deliberately posts one price and charges another. And, obviously, instead of training and mentoring the young people who work there what customer service, integrity and character means, they are setting an example that says, "GREED, DECEPTION, AND MANIPULATION are perfectly acceptable as long as they apologize to the customer that the sign isn't correct! Who are the he owners? Do they even care that their business practices are not only illegal, but unethical? read more

So very bad. The food tastes fine, when it's actually correct. Every time I come here, part of my meal is forgotten or wrong. Today I went in to order a to go order and I waited THIRTY minutes for it to be ready. That's the longest "fast food" I've ever ordered. Too bad this is the only KFC in town. Disappointing. read more

I have been going to this KFC for some time now. The price keeps getting higher while the food stays the same ( o.k. at best). Today I bought a $5 chicken strip meal, but they wanted to charge me 75 cents per sauce for my chicken strip's. That is ridiculous! I ended up using duck sauce from some Chinese take out from last week. It wasn't bad. Popeyes is very close and they don't charge for sauce. Just saying..... read more

I grew up with this KFC, it's great quality but at a high price, it's always been this way and I don't see it changing. There are other places in this area with better food too, namely Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken and for a much lower price. That being said KFC has great chicken and sides, namely the mashed potatoes, but given you're near better tasting chicken I would opt going to Lee's for the Liver dinner they have there. It's the best around and let's face it, KFC is only a place you'll visit once is a blue moon anyways because of the high prices. I want to stress though that KFC has great customer service, it's just that spending $20 on two people for dinner at a fast food place is just a bit more than what I'm looking for when trying to find value in my fast food outing. read more

Chicken was good. Mashed potatoes tasted and smelled like instant potatoes... dining area was disgusting, looks like it had not been cleaned all day. We were there before the typical dinner rush. No soap in the women's bathroom and a worker used the restroom and I am not certain how she washed her hands, no hand sanitizer available in the dining hall either, and there is a buffet... They remodeled not too long ago and the hallway has dry wall coming off already... very disappointing.... read more

This place is so bad, this is KFC, where the C standes for chicken, how come it NEVER has chicken on the buffet. It took 30 minutes for chicken. This is the second time, the first time i thought it was a mistake, like a bad night or something. But after the second time i know, that is how it Always will be. I will not be returning to KFC. read more

this place has no adult employees to start. we came but about 2 hours before they closed and were planning to order a bucket with 2 sides. they said "we can't give any customer that many legs" (8 legs.) after 10 minutes of trying to figure out what we were allowed to order the put another employee on the speaker and she said "we are out of legs" so sorry to tell y'all but KFC only is Kentucky Fried-- tbh just go to lees. they actually have good food and don't run out of it. also the employees spoke very immature saying things such a "hullup" and just saying "huh?" a lot. i thought i was talking to a 5 year old most of the time. read more

One of the worst fast food experiences we've had in a long time. We ordered a $5 fill up box and were charged $11 something at the window after we realized we'd just been charged that, we mentioned it, waited for someone to come tell us they would have to give us the change back in cash since we were charged on our card, we said that was fine. They made our order correctly and apologized and we said we understood that they were busy as we had already waited a long time in the drive thru, we had waited so long we drove off forgetting our change so we pulled right back around and went inside, that manager went to the back and we had spent so long at kfc that by that time that we said "screw it, this isn't worth $6" and we left. read more

Wow what an experience. Went here Sunday after church. It was not crowded, but was kinda full. I ended up getting the buffet. Not very expensive and came with a drink so that was great. My first problem came when the cashier said he hated Christians and churches. I was afraid to ask why so I payed and walked to the side. Apparently I didn't get my tray with styrofoam plates so the manager was mad at the other cashier. Anyway I got some food but there was no drumsticks. Came back up and they were just putting out some fresh chicken. I saw some drumsticks so I got some with the tongs. All of the sudden, a decrepit woman arose from behind the bar and said ma'am you're supposed to get the chicken from the front!!!! For one, I am a man. And secondly, I didn't sign up for the kfc buffet 101 class so how was I supposed to know. Anyway I was kinda upset so I went back and ate and went back and got scolded again. I was pretty full by this time so I was only going to get some small things. She arises again and shouts "ma'am!!!! You're supposed to get a clean plate each time!!!!!!" And i pulled a plate off my tray, revealing that it was completely unused. She was mad that the had been wronged and disappeared. Really upsetting that there was such strict rules at the chicken joint. The food was very good except I had to ask for drumsticks from the cashier. read more

I am going to have to disagree with the other reviewer regarding KFC's customer service. My experience is that they have become too big for their britches. The chicken is always good, the sides are mediocre, but the last three years have gone downhill for service. My husband and I went to KFC today for lunch. we only wanted a bucket of chicken and our preference is dark meat only. The manager, a mature blond, refused to allow only dark meat. The posted menu had no buckets of chicken listed, so we were told how much they were. We decided that $15 for ten pieces of chicken, half of which would certainly be unwanted breasts and wings, was too high a price to pay. So we left. I do agree with the reviewer that recommended Lee's. The service was excellent (they asked exactly how many drumsticks and how many thighs we wanted), the food was super, and the price was right ($13 for ten pieces of chicken of our choice). We won't be back to KFC again. read more

This is the worst place ever. When I was getting my order the lady on the speaker was so impatient with us and we just picked something because we got annoyed. When she got our card she had the most pissed off look on her face. Than another girl came by and handed me our food with my famous bowel on the bottom being spilt over. I went back inside to maybe get one re made and it was another girl that was actually nice saying she will make a new one. As I watched them another girl swooped in and just cleaned around the old bowel and put it back in the bag to hand back to me. I was already hungry and mad at this point but just went with it because I don't like to start a scene. I walk back to my car and ask my girlfriend if there's anything else that was wrong and she showed me one of the cinnamon biscuits that we really wanted to try looked like it had a bite in it. So I just tossed it away and drove off pissed from the bad service there. I highly don't recommend this place at all. read more

I ordered the 20 piece hot wings and large mashed potatoes through the drive thru and was told I would have to wait 10 minutes and asked to pull around to the door. Not a common order so I expected I would have to wait for them...no problem. I watched the girl who took my order take two individual orders out to cars that came after me around 15 minutes in to this fiasco. After 25 minutes I walked inside to inquire about my order. The woman at the register seemed apologetic and when she asked a girl walking by where the wings were she simply said "I'm busy with other orders!". There had been two cars go through the line and 1 person in the restaurant the entire time I had been there. The cashier waited and waited and finally said "I'll go get them". She couldn't find them! She yelled "Where's the hotwings?!". They were still in the fryer basket after all this time!! She got my order and handed it to me and said "I'm sorry about your wait I put a cookie inside". Seriously. A cookie?? After 30+ minutes?? Keep your cookie and your poor service. I WON'T be back!! read more

We love KFC. bit absolutely hate this location. Today is the third time we've been in the past few months and this will be our last. The first two times the got orders wrong, lied about why they took so long to get us served in a timely manner, and the food was cold. Tonight we came through the drive through ordered two $5 boxes. Asked for extra cup of ice, the woman (an older lady, very hateful and rude to my daughter and I) said that she would have to charge me full price for "ice!" She said quote " I'm sorry I'm not the manager and that is what they told us to do!" However, when we got home we opened one of our boxes and "THERE WAS NO CHICKEN." I called them, the same old lady answered and instead of apologizing and offering to make it right, she asked me if I "had a receipt!" I asked her if she was serious since I was obviously just there. She said "I'm sorry but without a receipt, there's nothing I can do." So I found receipt, went back to store, and then had to wait while they had to correct two other customer orders they had also gotten wrong. The woman then claimed to be the "manager" and proceeded to argue with me all the while being hateful. The whole time we were there, other employees were shaking their heads and mouthing "I'm sorry!" It was apparent that she is this hateful to other customers. I won't be back. read more

We went to get this chicken after waiting all day not eating because I had medical test that I couldn't eat before they were done and was very disappointed. It was between 3:30 and 4:00 that we was there. The place was dirty food left on tables, food all around the trash bin, around the drink station was a mess, bathroom was dirty, my husband said the employees even looked dirty. They were not friendly at all acted like they were doing us a favor. Now to the food. The food bar looked like the food was a week old. The mashed potatoes was dry, the white gravy was not gravy it was like pouring milk on potatoes they just watered it down too much. The bread pudding was just that bread no pudding. They only put out chicken that was over cooked not like the KFC chicken that we use to love. We paid $19.00 for two buffets and will never do this again. If you like KFC go to the one in Lenoir City you will not be disappointed there. read more
