It came from the Cedar Bluff KFC and the chicken was fresh and extra crispy. I told them I would wait longer, if necessary, for fresh extra crispy, and that's what they delivered. We used the KFC app because it seems they fill it before the in-person orders, and when we got there the does were open but the kitchen was still closed from the night before...this happened at "noon on a Saturday" ...no food at all..none..! The three employees were sitting at the front door, apparently just to argue with everyone that came in...rather than locking the door. That, judging by my experiences has slipped over the past years at this franchise. Last visit, I insisted on ORIGINAL RECIPE and the gal at the window insured me that's what she handed me. Wrong. Went in to grab my daughter and I some lunch. I walk in There was a lady on the phone talking and asked immediately asked me if I was picking up an order. I said no I want to place an order at the . She then states "that the lobby area is closed" I said "What I can't order at the register and eat it in my car? She then calls out the guys 's name in the prepping area. Sat in the drive through for 5 minutes and no response then decided to go in. Another customer walked in after me. Nobody was in the front so the other customer called out after we had stood there several min. My goodness this place is unsafe and not acceptable for kids. I came there needed to get to an important business meeting in about 46 minutes when I got there they had no chicken! This is KFC "Kentucky Fried Chicken" with no chicken. I understand sometimes you can sell out, but my husband had been and he said they had no chicken either, that is unacceptable. That is not even the WORST part! I came in and there was a worker I think his name was Kevin or something, he looked me up and down and winked had me, mind you I have two kids with me. This place is absolutely the worst place I've ever been. While waiting at the drive thu, a pedestrian walked up to the window and ordered. This issue really should be addressed as it's an unsafe and completely unfair to customers that are waiting in their vehicles . After finally getting to the window to place our order the only chicken they had available was mushy and from the bottom of the fryer. The chicken was swimming in grease and the pieces were unrecognizable. Not only that, but they did not give us everything that we had ordered, (we didn't discovered that until we had gotten home). Every time I try to go to this location something goes wrong. I tried last night for a pick up order from the app the doors are locked the lights are on, I could not see anyone inside it was 8:50pm website states open until 11:00pm no one answers at the drive-thru. I canceled the order. Last time I tried to order at the drive-thru it was 7:00pm a couple months ago and no one answered again drove to the window someone inside saw me and said were closed. No sign no reason why they close so early. Corporate needs to close this location and maybe reopen after hiring all new staff. They are paying people to do absolutely nothing and they lock the doors everyday even though the app allows for pick up inside and they close whenever they see fit?
