I had a disappointing visit to the KFC on Westnedge in Portage. I waited in the drive-thru for about five minutes, with no one responding, while multiple cars piled up behind me. I went inside and found eight other customers waiting around, unacknowledged. After some time, an employee only called out a specific order name for pickup. I told them I was just there to order food, and they told me it'd be 45 minutes to two hours because they were swamped with other orders. No one apologized for the lack of communication. I understand being busy, but some acknowledgment--like a sign or a simple heads-up--would have gone a long way. Sadly, I had to leave without ordering. I hope they improve their customer communication and service for others. read more

A pretty typical experience with a fast food store and the Kalamazoo area. This happens more than I like to think. Order a chicken which comes with mashed potatoes, no spoon to eat the mashed potatoes with. How hard is it to remember a spoon especially when there is nobody at the store except me. read more

KFC on westnedge is the worst. Went there for their Tuesday special of 8piece dark meat for $10 and was willing to wait 30 minutes for it. Girl didn't ask if I wanted regular or crispy so I went back up and requested crispy, she said ok and then said they do have crispy and could make my order. Got home with 4 breasts, 2 wings and 2 legs. I don't like white meat so took it back to the store. Cashier said they don't refund so I asked for manager. Snotty little punk comes out and said I was told they only had white meat left. That they were telling people that all day. Well the cashier didn't say anything and he wasn't there. I would have left if they only had white meat. They do have a sign that there are no refunds because they guarantee your order is correct. But they couldn't correct it because they did have the chicken. They were both hollering that I was told and I kept saying u wasn't. Called their customer service to complain and they are sending me a $10 voucher but not going back there again. I called back and said I wanted a refund. If you want fried chicken from a fast food place, KFC is a good spot. I mean if you want top of the line fried chicken go to a dine in restaurant, but it'll also be more expensive and not an idle option for some. Yeah it's greasy and such because it's fast food and it's fried chicken. I've come to this location for some years now. I've only ever do the drive thru, lines are long at times, pace is okay could be better. But they haven't messed up my order till now and for KFC standards, I can't complain. read more

Went to Order the Nashville hot sandwich, they said it doesn't exist anymore. But they offer the wings and the tenders in the Nashville hot. Said there was no way they could put the sauce on there new crispy chicken sandwich. Which makes no sense to me they ALWAYS have had a crispy chicken sandwich. I went to just order al la Caret for a few pieces of chicken and she said she could give me five pieces for 5$ any piece.. I ordered 5 drumsticks and they were not even the size or wings and tasted like they were over fried when they opened and just sat in a damn box till I came thru at 7pm. They were like card board. Over the last 2 awful visits, there were only 2 employees, lobby was locked, order was wrong, waited 20 minutes for an order placed on the app, w/o anyone even saying anything to me. They had no white meat, was told it was in the freezer. Employees are very unprofessional and rude. (Except the young man that seems to be trying to run the place) Who owns this location?? I was treated poorly and overcharged (up charged per their term), but when I ordered I asked if the cost would be the same and no extra cost if I ordered legs vs. wings? Instead of around $18, it ended up being over $23, but worse yet it was tough and it fresh at all? They used up their old pieces and still had the fall to up charge! I knew stopping here was a bad idea but the food came out in edible. The chicken was burn on the outside, terribly old on the inside and it stinks. The biscuit was a hockey puck, mash was old with separated gravy. Mac and cheese just horrible. I felt bad for the guy working cause I think he was alone and trying his best. The service was terrible!!! My chicken was sitting under a heat lamp the chicken was dried out and burnt!! For $20.00 fill up I am very mad and disappointed with KFC!!! We were shorted a mashed potato and gravy the workers DID NOT even care to check the order or let alone the food sitting way beyond the time under a heat lamp!!! Called on the phone gave me a quote $20 fill up box 8pc chicken sides and rolls. Got there asking for the $20 fill up box. They said $27. We told them we just called and was quoted $20. They said $27 can't change register. The girl in back lied and said she didn't say $20. Today I was at this KFC to order a pot pie and 12 pc Family meal deal. It was Sunday lunch hour. They said they didn't have any pot pies even though it was on the menu. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Today was my last visit to KFC. All of them, not just this one. The chicken pieces aren't even identifiable. The coating was soggy (some looked like it had been torn off) and the fries were dry. I threw most of my meal away. The only reason I went here is because another local chicken restaurant was closed. Oh I also tried the new chicken sandwich a couple weeks ago and it was a big thick piece of chewy something. The Colonel must be rolling over in his grave over what has become of his restaurants. Back in the 70 s they were primo. If i could leave 0 stars I would. I work for Doordash and I came here to pick up an order around 11pm. I pull up to the speaker, and no one answered. So I pulled up to the window and showed the guy that I just wanted to pick up the order. I was super nice and everything, tried to show him the name, and then all of a sudden the workers inside starting yelling at me like 'we're closed! can't you see we're closed? we're not open O-P-E-N we're closed!' talking to me like I'm a child. I worked for a restaurant that partnered with Doordash and I know how it works, and as soon as they receive and order they have to make it, so it's not like they had to remake a whole new order or anything, it should've been already made before i even got there. So one of the workers starts spelling out the words 'closed' on the window with her finger so at this point i just drive off because they're being so rude. So I come back for another Doordash today and I tell the speaker my order and they tell me it's gonna be a 20 minute wait on the chicken so I ask if i should pull out and then come back in line in like 15? and I get no respond at all. I literally just sat there for like 2 minutes waiting for a response so I pull of and wait in the parking lot. Their entire staff is so rude and disrespectful. It was Friday at 1:45 and I had waited over 20 minutes for my order. I don't even like Kentucky fried chicken but I know that my husband loves fried chicken. So I decided to go ahead and get him something to eat for lunch since he said it was my choice. There was one other car in the drive-through and hardly anybody in the parking lot.
