I was in Fort Wayne after doing some grocery shopping at a nearby Kroger and I was hungry. Right next to it was this KFC... and I am always up for some fried chicken... especially the Colonels version with his secret recipe with seven herbs and spices... So i went and ordered at their drive thru. There was this older lady who took the order and gave the food. She was possibly the kindest older lady I ever met and one of the friendliest drive thru workers I have ever encountered. Truly super kind. The food was hot and tasty! The service, though, was what was special. Hope this KFC treats her well, that woman should teach how to talk to customers.

Updated 5/09/23. Ordered thru the mobile app a bucket of extra crispy chicken. Oh man was the chicken good. Tender hot juicy and surprisingly not vet greasy. It didn't last long with my group. Such a far cry from the horrible chicken sandwhich and nuggets we got the last time. But still giving it three stars because the employees are never friendly and they are so skimpy in their condiments such as ketchup, which they now charge .20 cents for, and salt pepper packets that it irritates me. Also they give you 1-2 napkins for an entire bucket of chicken and asking for more is like pulling teeth. So they redeemed themselves on the food but let's try to work on customer service with a smile people!

Chicken was burnt and dry. The dog will eat good tonight.

Wings Etc might be the most consistently excellent chain-food experience I've ever had, and this…read morelocation is the gold standard of the many Wings Etc locations I've been to. Between the excellent wings, the dizzying selection of alcohol, and the top-notch wait staff, this restaurant is permanently enshrined as one of my all-time favorites. I knew that I was addicted when, after walking into the bar during one trip with a friend, the bartender (Michael) recognized us and immediately offered up two Blue Moon schooners, our usual. That extremely impressive level of service is likely possible because this location sees a relatively low amount of foot traffic. Despite patronizing this location dozens of times on different days at different hours, we have not once waited for a table. What can be said about the food that hasn't been said already? The wings are spectacular. You can expect them to be large and swimming in sauce. Speaking of which, the sauce choices are overwhelming: their classic BBQ is a go-to, but try out the Say It Ain't Tso or Me-So-Spicy for something a little different. If its alcohol you're after, its hard to do better on this side of town. Their draft selection isn't quite as extensive as Buffalo Wild Wings down the road but it gets the job done without the large crowds and strange chlorine smell. They will certainly do mixed drinks much better. The first time we visited Wings Etc was during a big game night. Buffalo Wild Wings was completely packed, so we continued down the road a bit to try this other place which ended up having a few open tables and spots at the bar. Life is full of strange mysteries; among them I add "Why will people wait thirty minutes for mediocre wings at BWW when there's Wings Etc a half-mile down the road with better food and better service?" I really can't answer that, but at least I won't count myself among the people who make that sorry mistake.

Wings Etc (Dupont Road) - for a change pace for American style food on the north side…read more It's been a long time since I've been to a Wings Etc/ BWW type place. As a chance of pace...we mixed it up and tried Wings Etc on a Sunday afternoon - living on the edge LOL. This facility is located in the far west end of the strip mall at the corner of Dupont and Coldwater Road. It's opposite the Kroger and more toward Casa's. Easy in and easy out as there is parking close to the store. The store is kinda large (at least seemed that way today as it was empty) clean and in good repair. The team was very friendly. The place was slow so we had very attentive service. The food and drink menu is fairly large. They gave a full bar with lots of TV's. Nice place to relax, talk and watch a game. As for the food...I really don't expect a lot from these type of franchise places. I did find the onion rings to be pretty good. Nice meaty piece of onion with a thick batter. Slight crunchy breading - not too oily. No special sauce served with this. Just ketchup if you need it. My wife really liked the grilled chicken bacon wrap. Fresh ingredients and tasty. My grilled chicken quesadilla was large and thick. Tender chicken, thick bed of cheddar cheese and soft tortillas.

Wow! I definitely got more than I expected from a diner inside of a TA travel center!…read more I came in just before 6:00 to scope the menu. I actually deliberately parked here instead of going down to Marion because I wanted to eat something other than fast food and I'm glad I did! It wasn't until after 7:00 that I sat down for supper that I noticed they have almost 1/2 off appetizers from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. . I would have loved to get in on them hot wings! The place is super clean, and they play good nostalgic music. My server was Ana. She was so nice and sweet, perfect server constantly checking on all of the diners including myself. Top notch service! I ordered the two pork chop supper, and she asked me if I wanted cajun, lemon pepper, and I can't remember the third option, but I opted for the Cajun. My pork chops were perfect. Thick, tender, moist and the Cajun seasoning was a real kicker! I don't think the broccoli is frozen, I do a lot of cooking, and I think it was actual fresh broccoli that was steamed, that they also buttered. I asked for a little bit of lemon and Ana happily obliged. The green beans were stupid good! Some of the best green beans that I've had in a diner that I could ever remember. I'm really glad I stopped here for the night, and I'm really glad that I ate here. I don't come through this part of Indiana too often, but I definitely know where I'll be stopping and eating next time I come through! DON'T FORGET THE HAPPY HOUR APPETIZER SPECIALS! ***DISCLAIMER*** This pure, uncut, honest review is federally protected under Federal Law by way of Bill #EO14149. Got the 10 oz steak, medium well with a side of mash and hash browns as well as the fried Mac and cheese bites. The prices were fair and the food was delicious, the service was excellent. Tristyn is amazing and easily one of the best servers I've had in a long time. She very attentive and checked in regularly. The chief certainly knows his way around a kitchen. I typically order medium well every single time no matter where I'm at and it always comes out in different degrees of juiciness/tenderness. Easily one of the best steaks I've had in a minute. Thanks for a great first experience. Will most certainly be back. *For my fellow truckers located off exit 309 I69 inside the TA. Ample truck parking (200+ spots)
