Evansville indiana location. 6 pm 12/10/2025 This place gets no better. It's so sad what has happened to the food and service. This is the only kfc in my city and it's horrible. My third and last time of going was tonight. They cannot comprehend what extra crispy is on anything at all. 3 times now that's what I ordered and never got. The chicken strips were rubbery textured and what the hell happened to the potatoes and gravy? They barely have any flavor. The gravy is now light brown and thin watery flavor. Used to be dark and peppery almost like a beef base. The chicken barely was even coated and what happenedto the seasoning? There are other places with excellent chicken even some gas stations compared to this and that's just sad. I won't spend my money there anymore. 55 yrs I been going and it's absolutely ruined. Service is horrible!! Disappointed every single time. First time I went, they weren't answering the drive through to the point cars had to back out and leave. Second time, took over 30mins to get food in drive through. This third and final time I had my hopes up, the service was quicker, but they were out of everything. They tried substituting but even the substitutes were out. They finally settled on giving me two TINY legs, and still charging full price for a meal. He still insisted it was in the bag, then proceeded to make me dump all the stuff at of my bag to prove he didn't put it in there. Well, it wasn't in there, obviously. We used to love KFC when we lived in Illinois. This place here is NOT worth the money or your time. Every time we have been here, every time has been through the drive-thru. I can't understand how they seem to ALWAYS not give us our full order . We get charged for all that we order so why don't we receive it? Their coleslaw is VERY DRY, I realize they put some ahead of time and placed it in the cooler but geez you need to put MORE mixture in it because they should know that the cabbage is going to soak some of it up. Their prices have gotten extremely expensive, for the service you get with the people working the windows, who are handing your things to you is not pleasant either. I order a sandwich with pickle only and they thought I said everything but pickles. i have a food allergy to mayonnaise. and told them I don't want mayonnaise. But in return they put the mayonnaise on it and layered it. I'm highly allergic. ruined my pickles cause they were in the middle of the layered mayonnaise. after I told them this they thought it was hilarious that I have a food allergy. I went to this store to just get some quick chicken and was told I'd be 30 minutes on ALL chicken and to make it worse I was stuck in the drive thru because of the stupid curb. My son and I went to this KFC 2 weeks ago a little after 5 pm on a Wednesday. I'm not kidding you, we got scared in there. One if the women working there was using the f word yelling at the order taker not to take any more orders. There was a homeless guy in there just helping himself to free drinks. We did get food and for $13 it was not worth eating. They turned away several customers after us claiming they were out of chicken. At 5:00 you think they would have the main item they sell ready. I'm not sure what the deal is with the restaurants but it is nearly impossible to get a halfway decent meal anymore, anywhere. I went to this location about 2 years ago and had an awful experience: I wasn't very hungry, I just needed a quick snack so I ordered 2 chicken littles. Those are the small chicken strip sandwiches. The lady at the cash register took my order and wasn't very friendly but she wasn't exactly rude either. I ended up waiting for 25 minutes for 2 chicken littles! 25 minutes! I don't know why I waited that long, I was just craving some chicken littles. The food itself was good, but it should be after waiting that long. The staff seemed completely lost and confused. Since then the store has received a nice renovation and I'll admit it looks pretty nice, especially for as ugly as businesses on Green River Road look. I was hoping that the new look meant better service. I was wrong: I went through the drive-thru and was asked, "What do you want?" How nice. I just ordered wedges and popcorn chicken. They didn't have popcorn chicken and I was told that it would be 6 minutes. That was fine with me, I understand that restaurants don't always have every item on the menu ready to go. So I was asked to pull around. 14 minutes later I was brought my popcorn chicken and cold wedges with rude service... the bag of food was practically thrown into my truck. It rang several times and the phone was picked up and promptly hung up. The second call a woman answered and told me to hold. Once again, she hung up on me. Newly remodeled store and much improved service. Went on a Sunday evening expecting to have to wait a long time for our order. Staff was very friendly and made sure they had enough chicken for our order first before saying they could switch out pieces. We were in and out with our complete and correct order in less than 5 minutes. In the past we have waited more than 20 minutes for a similar order. Much improved! Good job! read more
