We are traveling and thought we would have KFC in Kentucky! Horrible experience! They were out of ALL white meat (only legs and thighs); out of french fries; out of honey for your biscuit; out of most drinks. Needs to be demolished or remodeled as seats were all worn down and place was dirty including the bathrooms. Manager was outside smoking her cigarette in parking lot and hubby overheard her telling other staff that she tried to get a job somewhere else but they won't take her because she is a felon. KFC located at Mammoth Cave Street in KY is a pig sty. The soda fountain drink area is a dirty mess with fluid leaking out across the floor. The kitchen area needs major help. The equipment is on dire need of a good scrubbing. They had a list of items they were out of that Included fries and their famous coleslaw. It's obvious the owner, manager and staff just gave up and dont care. Our snackers were slopped together with so much mayo we tossed them out. Waste of money for sure. Shame on you KFC Corporate for letting this go unnoticed. I hope the health department shuts you down. read more

There was minimal staff so slow getting order. They were unable to make change for the person in front of us. Ordered 2 piece combo, original... and the leg was not full size but was drumette appetizer at best and the breading was doughy underneath. They also do not serve unsweetened tea and not everyone likes sweet tea. I do not recommend a stop here and will not return myself. read more

If I could do 0 stars I would, every time I ask for fresh biscuits they don't give it to me even tho I'm willing to wait. I had chunks in the bottom of my gravy. They given me hockey puck biscuits when I asked for soft ones or fresh ones. Literally i can wait the 14 min for fresh biscuits but theyre to lazy to even do that. This kfc is terrible and today was the straw that broke the camels back for me. Won't be going here anymore even tho it's convenient and I like KFC but the quality of their food is way below standards. Kfc fast food location that is in cave city Kentucky just off the 65 interstate. Despite being a Kentuckian I'm not a big kfc fan. The chicken for me is just ok. Usually on by fast food giants I just rate based off service, speed and accuracy. This location was not very strong. Decent speed but the hood was over cooked from the chicken to the biscuits. Especially the biscuits which is a shame because that is my favorite item of kfc. Overall a pretty standard kfc setup and pricing. I was already not a huge fan of the food but being over cooked didn't help that cause. read more

The worst experience I have ever had in a fast food restaurant. Service was extremely slow even though I was the only 1 there. One hour before closing they had No chicken was told it would be ready in 16 minutes. After waiting I was told that they gave my chicken away to the drive thru and grub hub. That they only had a few pieces left or wait another 16 minutes. I took the chicken they had and the French fries that had been sitting for almost an hour. Worst meal ever. Overall satisfied up to the day of this review, but after putting a mobile order in, it not popping up on their screen, and waiting 30 minutes longer than the app projected it would be...this is a joke! And while I pulled up and waited, 3 different drive thru orders were handled that were put in behind me. Train your employee, because this is pitiful! read more

The service was quick and there were no lines. This was a better version of KFC as I believe, in general, the quality of the food has gone down at most KFC restaurants. The tables were kept neat and the trash cans were not overfilled. The bad is the men's restroom was pretty nasty. I'd say not cleaned in weeks at it's appearance and I'm wondering that washing my hands there didn't expose me to more germs. read more

This KFC is a hot mess. They lock the doors! One might think it was a mistake and they forgot to unlock the doors??? Nope! Will and this other man kept yelling at the customers for opening the locked door when customers walk up to the building. The place was dead inside with just one other couple with my family. The drive through was going, but they didn't have any signs posted saying the waiting room was closed. It's beyond that though. It's the rudeness of Will and I am sure, others who work there. It was so bad that my father called corporate to inform them. My family watched many people park and walk up to the door to find it locked, but could see us eating inside. We heard Will yell at other customers that the other couple let into the building. These guys should be fired. Who is in charge of this place? It will close in less than 6 months if nothing is fixed. read more

They forgot to give me my chicken tenders and when I went back through they made me role down the windows of my car to show I was not lying about the missing food... my chicken little had very minimal amounts of bbq sauce on it. We planned a trip to mammoth cave and purposefully changed our route to this KFC to get lunch. The doors were locked with no explanation but there were customers who were staring at us and laughing at us for not being able to get in. SO RUDE. I was surprised when I saw all of the negative reviews but was hungry so stopped by. The mashed potatoes were okay but they were warm on one side and cold on the other. Was not greeted as we walked in at the counter, the food preparation was not sanitary. Too many bare hands touching the food. The line inside was slow, and we got our food to-go. We were not given any utensils to eat our food. The gal that called out our order said the number and walked off, there was no polite commentary and all of the employees behind the counter seemed more interested in either talking to each other or standing around. This place gets ZERO stars from me. The only reason I put 1 star is because I had to to write this review. First off, the night time counter worker, Ashley Gardner, has zero personality and thew food onto the trays. You can tell she didn't want to be there. Second, all the tables in the restaurant were dirty. There was spilt tea on the ground by the drinks. They finally, after 10 minutes, put a caution sign. When we went to sit down, a worker came to us and said this section was closed. We had to wipe down the table ourselves to eat there. Lastly, the bathroom was horrible! There were paper towels all over the floor. The bathroom looked like it had not been clean all day. With this being a food facility, you would think they would keep the bathrooms halfway decent. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go to Pizza Hut or Long John Silvers instead next door. They need to hire not only new managers that can run a chain, but different people to do the counter who has good customer service skills. I won't be back. read more
