I miss the days when KFC used to be a treat. Many a family gathering was held around a bucket of chicken, and there's so much nostalgia for what used to be a fantastic food option. We went off of diet to have a cheat meal because we wanted some good fried chicken, and boy were we terribly mistaken. They do a deal on Tuesday where you can get a bucket and 8 tenders for like $10 a piece or something, and ITS STILL NOT WORTH THAT! Those tenders tasted like they had been under a warmer since the day before, and the fried chicken was so dry and flavorless that it wasn't worth eating. I was hoping to get some redemption through some biscuits and brown gravy, but then they forgot the biscuits. I decided to use the gravy to try to help out the tenders a little and there was no helping those damned things out. The only positive is that they have some subpar cheese curds now, and if you mix the curds, wedges and gravy together then you can make a white trash poutine. But beware, they have watered the gravy down so bad that it's just basically stock at this point. We got the order to go, so can't check off the ambiance but I will say that whatever little guy was running the drive through kept talking to my wife about how much food we were buying for only two people. We quit eating this crap at family gatherings after my grandmother passed, and I bet she'd roll over in her grave if she knew how gross this shit has become. We need a Jolibee's. Or Popeyes just needs to get good again. Fried chicken restaurants are out here bullshitting. One star for making it so easy to get immediately back on the diet. read more

Going to dispute this charge. Absolutely not. They messed the order up 5x!!! Had to go to the drive thru & even in the drive thru they kept messing the order up. Then offered me free pickles for my inconvenience & gave me 3 old ass pickles!!! All the chicken was hard & dried up. Drinks were incorrect. Sauced nuggets weren't sauced twice. Then they gave me the nuggets in a sauce container I was already tired of their shit. Got home the nuggets are still not sauced. Missing almost the whole order!!! What has happened to KFC??? Picked up a 8pc. family pack and the chicken is hard, burnt or stayed in the warmer way longer than it should. This is supposed to be original recipe but I'm not sure what it is! The cole slaw and biscuits are good but not sure that will make up for this pitiful chicken. I am a former "mystery shopper," and I also go out of my way to commend businesses and their employees when they are doing a great job. Unfortunately, on April 24, we purchased a 16--piece bucket of mixed pieces Original Recipe from the 31W location of KFC in Bowling Green to take to my significant other's birthday luncheon with family. Our order was ready (I ordered online) and was basically correct, EXCEPT that in 16 pieces of chicken, there were SEVEN wings. That mathematically amounts to 44% of the $28+ purchase in wings, which are okay, but they are generally the least desirable piece due to meat content. The food itself was acceptable and I make no complaint other than the inappropriate proportion of wings. Later that evening, I called the restaurant to report this and express my discontent. I asked for the manager, and Sharon stated that she was the manager. I relayed our predicament to her, and having worked in food service several times, I was more than polite. She sounded stressed and it was at that point that the phone clicked and she was gone. Cell phones often drop calls, so I immediately called back and got voicemail. I left a coy but deliberate message stating that I called back because I wanted to make sure SHARON knew I would never do anything as TACKY as hanging up on her. I left my name and phone number. I'm sure you've guessed by now I never received a returned call. I'm convinced she hung up on me. I know several business owners in town and I have asked around to see who owns this franchise but no luck yet. I would've been more than satisfied with a token coupon and an apology. I ordered a two piece meal. It was so awful I couldn't eat it. The chicken was so huge you couldn't even tell what it was. After tasting it I realize that it was day-old chicken that they re-dipped in fried. After getting through all the fried batter the meat was so dried out you couldn't even swallow it. Posting an updated review. Kfc came out with the double down chicken sandwich which I loveddddd as a child. So, I decided to go back after my horrendous previous experiences here and the employees are leaps and bounds better. My experiences were fantastic. 10/10 now. As far as fast food joints go this KFC should be the standard bearer for the entire chain! I have eaten here numerous times and I even drive out of my way to come here when I have a craving for fried chicken. I'm sure the drive through is like any other KFC, but the real star is the food bar buffet! With things not on their normal menu - turnip greens, macaroni salad, black eyed peas, and cobbler make this KFC exceptional! In the evenings and lunch time the place is full of locals. super long wait times. only take one order in drive thru at a time. i ordered online and went to pick up they wouldn't let me go inside to pick up and was very rude when i called and said i had to pick up in drive thru while they had signs up everywhere saying to pick up inside. ended up waiting 45mins to annhour in the line and my food was cold and they didnt give any utensils or any sauces i had paid to get. very unsatisfactory. would recommend just going somewhere else. read more

Worst KFC ever! We decided to stop here on our road trip to get some actual KFC in Kentucky. When we walked in the worker looked at us and immediately said, "for here or to go?" No "hello" or "how are you today"...just absolute rudeness from the start. We ordered a $5 meal and waited for our order. While waiting, that same worker greeted the next customer with "hi ma'am, how are you doing today?" I was shocked that she actually had some customer service skills. I realized that maybe I didn't have the right pigmentation to receive a pleasant greeting. Thanks trashy lady for making me feel absolutely unwelcome in your mediocre facility. Been through the drive-thru several times in the last year. Seldom get exactly what I order. Have called an order in twice only to have it not known. Tonight, was promised by the gentleman on the phone that he would "drop my chicken in" to make sure there was enough as the drive-thru was very busy. When I arrived, I was first given the amount due that belonged to the driver behind me. Once again, they knew nothing of my order. They didn't have enough of the wings, so substituted. I went the one on the bypass in bowling green ky and we went thur the drive thur and we bought the $20 fill up, I also add 2 extra breast and while I was setting in line, they handed my food out to the car in front of me and I could here them and then they gave it to me after the lady in front of my had went thur it, I also told the manager standing at the window could she make sure my food was correct and that i had saw what they had done and she seemed to not care i ask them to makes sure it was correct because I had a problem before with them not getting my food correct. She told me to check it at the window instead of making sure it was correct, but I wasn't putting my hands in my food thur the drive thur and when I got home not only did I not get my food correct but I didn't get my breast I paid for on top of that and when I called back the mgr was smart and also said, bring it back I just give you your money back, I didn't ask her for that! no respect that the food was incorrect and that it was missing so I emailed corp. and they did nothing either, I am very disappointed with them and i will tell all my friends and family not to ever go there since handing my food to someone else and still give it to me even though they knew i saw what they did, mgr was rude as all get out and then corp. doesn't do anything about it, i am surprised they dont get shut down. brenda miller read more

There is way too much going on in the back. My order was totally wrong and the window person was distracted by all the people and he seemed rushed even when taking my order. My trips to town to get food is rare these days as my money is limited, so when I spend money I expect my order to be correct. It wasn't. I was rushed away from the window as the window server tossed the bag at me. I live on the other end of town and when I got home anxious to eat, I discovered it was not only the wrong order, it was crispy... like it had been cooked too long. My order was for original - not crispy and not over cooked. I'm not going to drive to town for a second trip...
