I went to KFC at 1674 Gasden Hwy in the Birmingham/Trussville area. I arrived at the drive thru at 9:00pm on a Wednesday night and tried to order the 8 piece family meal. I was told that they only had pot pies or nuggets. The store hours stated that it was open until 9:30pm. I again adked for the 8 piece family meal and the store manager said to me that they were already cleaning the deep fryers and were unable to drop any new chicken. The last 3 times I have been there is always some random delay like cash register being down or being out of chicken. This last visit was a bit of a last straw for me. The cash register system was down and they said it would be 5 min so I decided to wait because I wanted to try the new sandwich they have. The employee told me I couldn't sit at the speaker until it was up and that I needed to pull around so I did. I waited at the window for a couple of minutes and the employee came and said "I told you the system was down and I told you you couldn't sit there." That's not what was said at the speaker. Visited KFC Gasden Hwy after leaving dr appt very late , didnt feel like cooking decided to stop at the Cournel ( coming out of our kfc boycott..shouldnt have) Ordered the family fill up 8 pc chicken original, family size mashed pot. and gravy, coleslaw biscuits. when we got to the window the associate ( mngr I think) said they didnt have the full order of biscuits so we could choose another side. Absolutely the worst Kentucky Fried Chicken Ive ever been to. The employee with the long purple wig started off our bad experience by having long, unkempt DIRTY fingernails that could really only be described as hooves. I could actually see layers of crud caked around her nails as she punched in our order, as we waited in a relatively empty restaurant. I figured, well, she wont be handling the food since shes up here, so we stayed. 20 minutes later after listening to an incessant high pitched machine noise during our wait, my husband brought our receipt up to the counter of the empty restaurant and a different female employee saw him, then referred to Purple Wig girl to " you tawwk to heeeeim, he look like he wanna slap somebeadddy". So my husband just showed the Purple Wig Girl our receipt since we had received no food, and she touts " oh, we forgot all bout dat orda " and preceded to rally another employee to get it going...finally 25 minutes in. We got " our food " and got it to the table and opened the boxes and all three boxes were missing the biscuits, all were missing the sides, and all were missing the cookies.......SMH. So again we have to go back to Purple Wig Girl and now shes developed a WORSE attitude than she had before! Saying to us " WELL I'M GETTIN IT AFTER I GET BACK, and she proceeded to walk right past us out the door with someone elses most likely screwed up order...just ridiculous. I also find it necessary to mention that unless you want some disease DON'T USE THEIR RESTROOMS. Not only is it unsafe because the partition in between the two stalls ( one with a door, one WITHOUT a door ) is literally broken off a good foot from the dirty tile floor, but there is rust on the one handle to the one door of the two stalls. At any point the entire partition can just fall down onto you, or your child. This KFC is a great example of employees that just dont give a rats a$$ about anything, and an owner who doesn't either. After I got home and tried to eat the food I realized why there were no other customers eating in or in the drive through. I tried to use a "Two Can Dine" coupon that did not expire until December. The cashier said "we don't have two can dine anymore." If you are not going to take coupons, put a sign on the door or better yet QUIT PRINTING THEM. That's false advertising. So I had to order the WAY overpriced meals. I ordered the three piece with a breast. What I got and was charged for was a big box and I was still charged a substitution fee too. I don't appreciate being cheated, first by not accepting the coupon and then being charged for the wrong order. I should not have to check behind the staff but obviously I should have. Then they gave me potatoes instead of fries. So I had to go back in for that. Then when I got home the chicken was not edible. I HATE to waste food but I had no choice. One piece was so crunchy it was like eating rocks. The other one was stale / overcooked. It was literally garbage - probably cooked hours earlier or maybe even at lunchtime or the day before. The fries were shoestring (which I have never seen at KFC) and not good and were stale. I should have gotten a clue when I got there (7:45 P.M.) and the place was deserted - not a customer in sight. My husband and I went through the drive thru today at this location and it was hands down our worst fast food experience. Long story very short, our orders were wrong we didn't get all of our food. The service, even the manager, was rude! And to top it all off the girl at the drive thru (none of them wore name tags) threw and hit me with a honey mustard sauce cup! I had the Smoky Mtn. BBQ sandwich and it was nothing like what is advertised on their menu. The tenders were not thoroughly coated with sauce as pictured. What I received was a couple of tenders with a bit of sauce spooned into the middle of the sandwich and most of that ran out onto the paper. My husband had one of the Big Box Meals and had to remind the employee to give him his drink. The employee said a drink was not shown in their system even though there was a sign at the counter stating a drink is included. He begrudgingly handed over the drink and then tried to over charge for the order. We've given up on the KFC in Center Point due to awful service...guess we'll have to add this location to the list of poorly run KFC's. read more

They literally THREW a cup of honey mustard at my wife. This was unsolicited! CHECK ALL OTHER REVIEWS, THIS STORE IS ABSOLUTELY DISMAL AND WILL MAKE ANGRY AT THE VERY LEAST. My wife is pregnant and it took everything in us to not allow ourselves to get out of character. All of the employees (manager, drive thru cashier, & fry cook) snickering at us when she did it. They had several customer orders wrong behind us and wouldn't allow us to get a receipt, our food, or our money back. We called corporate today at 12:50pm ct immediately after the incident. The police refused to do anything about this; they were very dismissive of the event. There is a line of respect that this person (drive thru cashier), the manager, and the cook crossed. The fact the manager is involved in all of this mess(!) and instigating abuse is inconceivable. They refused to provide any information when we called the store seeking their names. They do not wear nametags, barely wore masks, and refused to give us our money back. The store was confrontational from the beginning. When asked for a #15 (pot pie, cookie, and drink), they refused to give me a drink which it shows on the menu. The manager on duty repeatedly interrupted us with an agitated tone during the entire ordering process.The manager denied giving us fries and made a huge deal out of cooking chicken for us. It was only a 6-piece wing so why would it take 13+ minutes?! When we agreed to wait they got mad at us and seemed to purposefully get the order wrong and TO THROW AN OBJECT AT MY PREGNANT WIFE. The manager wouldn't give us the food we paid for even when we showed them what was on the menu. The doors are locked so you can only interact with them through the drive-thru making it extremely difficult to get your money back or return the food which is wrong or incomplete This store is in the neighborhood of Trussville, AL near Target which we love. This is a good neighborhood. We SHOULD not support this BS. And whoever is the owner of this KFC will be found out and prevented from doing anything in my community. This is a continuation of my previous complaint regarding your Center Point Parkway location. Upon failure to receive adequate service there, I proceeded to the Trussville location on Gadsden Hwy. I suppose I should have looked up the store online and saw that their 2.9 star review(Google) is quite justified before going here. If this is the standard for KFC, I will never go back. I believed we were off to a good start at this location because I was greeted immediately upon arrival. Having more confidence in the customer service this time around, it was quickly shattered when I could hear the workers giggling and making fun of me on another headset - In a whispered tone as though I was deaf and couldn't hear them. At some point between their laughing fits and words, the main worker decided to try and take my order. She failed spectacularly by the way because she couldn't stop laughing and trying to communicate with the other workers. She then proceeded to tell me that they may not have the chicken I wanted, again another case of not wanting to make more, and she would check to make sure. As she left the mic another worker got on and started whispering inappropriate things such as, "I like nasty hoes," and "I like dirty buttholes," until I had become so disgusted I left. I understand working in fast food isn't the most rewarding job but at least it's a job. You don't want to be there? Fine. But don't take that out on me, I didn't do anything to you. For the overpriced, pre-cooked, heat lamp food, the customer service wasn't worth putting up with it. I went to Popeye's instead. read more

AVOID! After his game, my 10 year old son wanted to stop by KFC. It was 8:30 on a Friday night and the parking lot was empty. That should have been clue #1. We went in and it was like an icebox inside....ok....we were hungry. We order and wait.....and wait...and wait....and wait. Did I mention there were only like 2 other families in there? While waiting, we noticed they had a 88 health inspection score....clue #2. We laughed it off. A customer came back up with their food...and waited....and waited. Of 4 people working there including the manager, none seemed to rushed to do much of anything. Finally, someone sweeping in back asked if they needed something. They had forgot half his order. haha..and that clue#3. Finally, as we seem within reach of getting our food after about 15 minutes standing up front, the young man who took our order came back and said "If you want wedges, it will be 5 minutes for me to cook up some...you want another side instead?" I said no, that I wanted the wedges...which seemed not to be the answer he wanted to hear....clue #4. He did bring the rest of our food and said he would bring out my wedges. I carry our food over to our table....and did I mention the tray they put our food on was broken....one edge broke off, another corner split....presentation is key, right? Guess not. Clue #5.....so we ate...the food was passable but I think it had been sitting for while. My son only ate half his meal because he said the chicken tasted "hard" and the mashed potatoes were not good. I was just waiting on those delicious wedges I was promised....5 minutes had long passed....after about 15 minutes of more....and the same young man looking over at me several times without making any motion to come out way...Clue #6 came painfully clear...I had a feeling I wasn't getting those wedges. Yesterday evening I went to KFC for a take out dinner and had to wait for 18 minutes for them to cook the french fries. An employee brought my dinner out to my car and I went home to eat. I have never been so disappointed in KFC as I was last night. For the fries to have just been cooked they were barley warm, greasy and looked and tasted old as if they had been left over from lunch and possibly reheated a little. The chicken breast was the original receip and it was also barley warm and greasy. I put most of it in the garbage because I feel sure if I had ate it, I would have been sick. When I got through handeling the fries and chicken my hands were coated with grease. KFC use to be so good and I enjoyed dining there and I am wondering what has happened to them. After the experience I had last night, I am not sure that I want to go back and pay for more grease so I will leave it at that and say once again how disappointed I am in them. read more
