This place work with law enforcement but has 0 credibility. They stained 2 out of 5 uniforms I brought in to remove patches off and they said that it's because the uniform was old and other excuses but the uniforms were bought at the same time, they were the ones that put the patches on. I purchased a couple uniforms from this family owned business. Every single time I should've learned my lesson and not have gone back but it's very convenient because I live in the city. Every time I get a Uniform altered they make so many unnecessary alterations that my uniform looks like it should fit on a mannequin. I bring up my concerns to the employees and all I get is attitude and then they say give us another week and we could fix it. basically the moral of the story is that if you are an individual who takes pride in your presentation and you work for a lawn enforcement agency I suggest you take your business elsewhere this business is simply for security guards and academy classes, Quality is not what they strive for. They drive away customers with their rude service and poor return policy. I have purchased items here on multiple occaisions. They have never greeted me upon entering the store. They act as if they are doing something more important and cannot be bothered when you ask for help. I told them I was going to try a pair of pants on at home and they did not mention their restrictive return policy. I brought back the new pair of pants with all labels in tact in less than 24 hrs. They charged me a whopping $14 restocking fee. They said its to cover credit card fees which is supposed to be illegal in California (to charge the customer for credit card fees). The kind and helpful employee changed-out my buckle from my old belt to the new one because of a color requirement. No charge for this. She was amazing. The belt was very reasonably priced. Simple Copy of Receipt. Attempted to obtain copy of uniform I purchased in July 2023. November of 2023 is when I telephoned requesting copy of uniform receipt , 500 dollars. Gave Keystone Uniform the date purchased. Questioned why I needed the receipt and explained for taxes. Unable to give me a copy due to receipts kept offsite and the time period of 4.5 months. This place is pretty terrible. I had an order form and they made a huge deal about them not understanding what I needed. They loudly read the form through about 4 times before they decided to help me. They have very low inventory. I needed a small white long sleeve shirt and I'm pretty sure I got the last one. I needed the pants hemmed and patches sewn on. They never gave me a date or time that it would be ready. They called me later saying that it would take longer than expected and gave me a time to come (changing it to a later date when I told them they never gave me an estimate in the first place). I came in when they said it would be ready and they still didn't even start working on my items. They told me to wait 15 minutes and it would be ready. They don't know how much their own items cost and just look and sound lost all of the time. They definitely don't go out of their way to help you. That being said, the Asian woman and one other lady (the most clueless of them all) do try to help you when they're not just wandering around looking lost. I did get my items and they fit fine. If I can help it, I'd go somewhere else. read more

Sandra and staff helped me get uniforms fitted, altered, and patches sewn on. Their work is well done. Sandra is very attentive and provided great customer service. All of the staff helped me on my visits. I like their customer service and their convenient location. They keep records of the uniform requirements for the major law enforcement agencies to help you if you're not sure of something. The turnaround time for alterations was about one week but they can do rushes. Another shop quoted me almost 4 weeks. read more

I have been coming to Keystone since before the current owner purchased it. I have used other uniform stores from Alhambra to Glendale and none but Keystone can get the tailor job right. Mel and the other ladies do such a good job of fitting you the correct way. The selection is the only problem but they can always order what you need. Paul has mad skills when it comes to embroidering names and logos. This really is a great place. read more

I needed postal uniform and was finally given my allowance, but I didn't knew my exact size so I decided to go somewhere "local" so I can get a fitting to find my size. This place was the closest that I know of, so I went back in August. Initial experience was great: the young lady helped me select what needed and offered to hem some pants to get to my correct size. I was told I would get a call on when my uniform would be ready, but that it would take a little longer for the hemmed pants. A week later I get a call that most of my stuff is ready. I get there the soonest I can to pick it up. Again was told they'll call back for the hemmed pants. Without going too long into the story I was finally able to pick up the pants around late October/early November. They never called me back from the first pickup so I had to call them multiple times. They claim that the hemming is only supposed to take a week at most, but they had supply issues and the pants were taking longer than usual. I'm normally okay with a little delay but months passed by and still no pants and the weather was getting colder. I'm pretty sure that if I let it slide, it would've disappeared into their backlog. At least I got to know my shirt and pant size from this place. That plus their overall apologetic tone gives them an extra star. But I wouldn't make the drive again. read more

I went in Sep 6 and picked 2 shirts for work. They tell me to come back in 7 days. 7 days to iron or sew on 1 patch on each shirt! And it was $80! At Becnel's, I could get almost 4 shirts for that price. I went ahead with the order anyways. I come back Sep 14, giving them an extra day to have my order ready. Order is not ready. They did nothing with the 2 shirts in 8 days. She said for me to come back at the end of the day. She didn't even say "sorry". I drove home and after thinking about it, I asked for a refund, but they wouldn't do it over the phone, so I had to lug my butt back to Covina to get the refund. I should've stuck with Becnel's in downtown LA. It may be a shady area, but they're cheaper and the patching gets done in 40 minutes. If you want to wait a long time and pay more, go with Keystone. read more

I've been coming here whenever I need things. It's convenient because it's probably one of the few uniform stores out east. The service is always meh, but today it hit a new low. About a week ago I came in to get a long sleeve uniform shirt. They had half of the store closed, because of a leak. Ok cool. I come in today at 5:20 PM and the female behind the counter let out a groan and told the female in the office to lock the door. I told her I need a B shirt with patches and stripes, no tailoring. Fitting ends at 5pm. Ok, I tell her again, I fit XL shirt, no need for tailoring. She told another female employee to help me. Like wtf ? I didn't need measurements, I just wanted to buy a shirt, I'll pick it up when the patches and stripes are sewn on. How hard is it to ring me up for that so I can pick it up later. Well I told these females, I would go somewhere else to buy my shirt. Word of mouth goes a long way. I would tell my coworkers and station to come here. I'll be telling them not to from here on. If someone is going to fork up 100 bucks a shirt and is turned away from an easy purchase without tailoring, I'd rather give my money some where else. read more

I see this place hasn't changed. Left a bad review a few years ago and, for some reason, tried them again. Didn't match what I asked for and when I brought it back they charged me to fix it. What really makes me mad is the attitude. Half of the workers there act like I am bothering them by giving them business. When my wife went to pick up my shirt for me she got a lot of attitude from a worker because I had already brought the shirt back once. Trust me, go somewhere else. They may do an okay job but they act like you're bothering them even though you're paying a lot of money for uniforms. So I ordered and paid for a uniform here back in July/August. Still waiting for it to come in.... I understand a partial delay because I called and made alterations to the order about a month after I initially placed it, but I think 4 or 5 months for pants and a shirt is a bit excessive. Called and asked for my money back to go buy the uniform elsewhere but I was informed they don't do refunds. I've since bought 2 of the same uniforms from a different store where they had them in stock. I guess I should've just gone there from the beginning. I used to like the service at keystone but I've noticed that lately they've been kind of slacking. I decided to give them another shot with this uniform order but I absolutely regret it. Had to try keystone because they carry a pair of pants I cannot buy at a 5.11 store for some reason and definitely wanted to find out what's with the negative reviews lol.. I walked in and looked around couldn't find the pants so i went to the other side and i was searching for them. I knew everyone was busy with paper work and with other shoppers so I understand. But one of the females noticed i was looking around so she asked if I was in need of assistance so she helped me find them. She found them but the store only had a small size. I will wait for the next order to come in. I didn't buy anything but i will be returning to this location. The female that assisted me is Asian and very friendly. My understanding the negative reviews are people that might of had patches put on wrong on the wrong side or just fitting. Others feel like they need the employees to hold them by the hand and show them around. This place is not big. They are friendly and I'm sure they will assist if you JUST ask. read more

My team and I had submitted purchase orders from our agency for just one set of 5.11 Tactical Taclite uniforms for each person. I submitted mine in Early April 2020 and was told that the long sleeve shirt was back ordered and would arrive in about six weeks. After about a month, I started to call Keystone Uniforms and the employees would always put me on hold for an average of ten minutes to find my order as it appeared they have always misplaced it. When June 2020 came around, I began working with Sandra who said that a shipment from 5.11 Tactical came in and would follow up with me to ascertain whether or not my uniform came in. She never followed up despite her false promises. I had to call numerous times in the next week just to have Sandra tell me that she hadn't checked the shipment yet! It would've been nice for her to follow through as promised. I then requested to speak to the manager (Paul A.) and expressed my frustrations. Paul A. was able to then assist and find my uniform (as well as the uniforms for my team) out of the shipment boxes and ready for the patches to be sewn on. I later received a call from Sandra that same day and she was telling me that I was missing one of the five patches that I had already given to Keystone Uniforms when I dropped off my order in April. When I was adamant I dropped off all patches, she insinuated that I was lying and said that I didn't drop off the patch. I didn't appreciate her horrible customer service portraying me as a lying customer. Fortunately, I had an extra patch and dropped it off later that afternoon where the patches were sewn onto my uniform shirt. I then noticed that the uniform shirt that my patches were sewn onto was not the proper style that I had ordered. The next day, I called Paul A. who took care of it and he had his employees re-sew the patches onto the proper uniform shirt. While I was in the store getting the uniform shirt fixed, I was told that the uniforms for my other team members were complete so I decided to wait a bit to pick up their uniforms for them. After waiting several minutes, I was advised that two of the uniforms were not ready and that one set of uniforms were missing the set of patches. After confirming with my teammate that he had submitted the patches at drop off, the patches were conveniently found moments later. I waited a total of two hours for the uniforms to get done. I was then looking on Yelp while waiting in the store and I noticed a review from another "Paul L." giving Keystone Uniform a 5-star review. I found this oddly suspicious as I had been dealing with the manager "Paul A." in the last 24 hours who had been fixing all of the issues. Despite reporting that review on Yelp as possibly being fraudulent, a week has now gone by and nothing has been done by them. This is why this negative review is being written now. In sum, I had a horrible experience at Keystone Uniform and can speak not just for myself, but for the other 6 of my teammates. I understood the back order of the items (especially admist the COVID pandemic), but it was absurd for me to have to call numerous times, receive no follow up, be construed as a liar by an employee (the missing patch was also found by another employee when I was in the store waiting) and to receive the wrong uniform style shirt. On top of that, a suspicious review written my "Paul L." giving this store a fantastic review just blew my mind. The manager and owner, Paul A., helped get things moving and completed, but there were already so many failures that this company had displayed. Beware when shopping here and beware of the 5-star review given by "Paul L." for this business. read more

Horrible service and overpriced. Employees are rude and completely clueless. I live nearby and have been going to this store for a few years now since it is convenient; however, it never fails that there is always some sort of confusion or mix up in regards to my items/uniforms not arriving on time or being completed incorrectly. The employees are excessively slow and cannot multitask. When I asked to speak to a manager due to two name plates not being ready after placing the order over 2 1/2 weeks prior and calling to confirm that they were indeed ready the response that I received was "I don't know." Overall, I will no longer be a customer at this store. If you like your uniforms fitted correctly, your pre paid items arriving on time, and decent polite employees this is definitely NOT the store to go to. Please do yourself a favor and head to another law enforcement store even if it is a further drive, it will save you a huge headache and money. read more

I had a great experience at the store. I brought in 5 shirts and a jacket to get a third service stripe and a new 6th shirt to get patches and embroidery done. Paul reached out to me to let me know that the appearance of the third stripe would look off so he offered to have the previous stripes painstakingly removed. It was important to him that the quality of work be the best possible. He continually kept me in the loop on the status of the order and even asked permission to readjust the patch on my jacket because the alignment was off. I couldn't be happier with Paul and his staff for their attention to detail and their high quality of customer service. Will definitely do all my future uniform shopping here. Thanks Paul! read more

Ok here goes my rant. I picked up my uniform today and found my department patch on the wrong side. The sleeve also shows that it was on the correct side at one point but was removed showing some wear. I remember explaining to the guy where it goes and we do not use the American Flag. The staff is not educated/trained on the uniforms of most departments, so inspected all item with a fine comb. I blame myself for being on auto pilot with my uniform and not inspecting it, however a uniform store should have a understanding of all departments they sell uniforms of. read more
