I do check competitors annually. And with the pot hole damage and fender bang to miss a deer, the response was super quick and I hadn't even realized that a rental car was included when the car was in for service--the fender damage required a few days stay. Two were handled appropriately, but one was an absolute mess. The adjuster was consistently unprepared, late, unresponsive, and unable to answer basic questions. At one point, I was quoted hundreds of dollars for a repair I knew cost less than $20 at a hardware store, justified only by "that's what the system, Xactimate, says." That experience alone raised serious concerns about how a major claim would be handled. Unfortunately, I eventually found out. After a winter storm, I noticed a small water stain on my ceiling. Upon inspection, it was clear there was a significant moisture issue in the attic--every sheet of roof plywood was wet.
