This is the difficult experience my brother and sister-in-law had to deal with!!!!!!
DO NOT buy a Crossroads RV from Pete's RV. We finally purchased our first brand new camper from Pete's RV out of South Burlington, VT in September of 2016, and it was delivered to our campsite in May 2017. We purchased a Crossroads Hampton camper (Keystone). Damage to the camper was found the day of delivery and there has been no resolution to this to date. Communication with both Pete's RV and Crossroads/Keystone has been extremely frustrating. We have gotten the run around from both for OVER A YEAR. We have been seasonal campers for 14 years, and the 2017 camping season was the most miserable season we have had. Pete's claims "They offer the best RV value, and their only goal in mind is "Happy Campers." Crossroads RV claims that "Nowhere will you find such dedication to quality, value, service, and comfort." As of June 4th, my family and I do not have our trailer that we spent over $40,000 on and have amassed $2800 on an empty campsite. One of these companies needs to own up to their claim. Damages were found the day the camper was delivered, including damage to the floor. These damages were reported the next day, and a week later water was pouring from the bottom of the camper. Upon closer inspection, the bottom membrane of the unit was found to be cut open and repaired with BLACK DUCT TAPE. The dealer admitted on the phone to us that in March, they had found the leak and admitted to repairing it with black duct tape. The dealer had not notified buyers of this repair prior to its delivery. Throughout the season, another leak found in bathroom, doorknobs fell off, the bedroom wall was not firmly attached and mold was found under the sink in the bathroom. Pictures of all of this were sent through email to Pete's and Keystone. No response initially, led to phone tag and never ending run around. The damage to the floor we found led to leaks, mice and mold. We moved our deck and screen porch away from the trailer in preparation for Pete's repairman to assess and repair the damage. The damage was never addressed by the dealer, and we finally paid $460 to have the camper hauled out of the site in November so it could be sent back to Pete's for evaluation. Pete's claim there is no mold and a complaint is opened with Keystone December 1, 2017 with Darcy. Darcy is never available to talk. Fast forward to February, 2018, Tom at Crossroads told us that they were waiting on more info from Pete's, including pictures of the damages that we sent. Keystone also let us know that Pete's is really tough to work with. Finally the camper is evaluated at Keystone ( in Indiana) and the confirmed damages include: 6 of 8 end walls on the slide outs exchanged due to water damage, insulation replaced on slide out, pulled wet insulation out of underside of unit and replaced it, replaced 14' of underbelly and seals, addressed waterline leak behind shower and kitchen galley, both were resealed, LCI repair, new 7-way trailer cord installed, added bracing between living and bunk slide out, replaced new door knob on bedroom door, treated and sanded wood on slide outs and unit, replacing seals on slide outs, rebuilt cabinetry that was water damaged; and replaced half bath and bedroom studs to aluminum studs due to doors not closing properly and the wood studs having a bow in them. We want refund from Pete's for: the money we have invested into this unit, the cost of setup and breakdown of the deck and screen house. We want money back from Keystone for the remaining cost of the camper that poses a health risk. read more
