My father's family's business, begun in the mid-1930s, in western Pennsylvania was their 14 hardware stores that slowly dissolved from 1957 to 1962 as prepackaged goods and discount stores began their rise. I began "working" as a five-year old putting bicycles together for Christmas (inverting pedals and installing handlebars - not hard), then later weighing nails from kegs, cutting cast iron pipe and glass. One was Robert who was at the order desk, he helped me find the area were my vintage lamped could be serviced. He instructed me where to go and when I went in the wrong direction he led me to the correct area. Also the gentleman who actually fixed my lamp. He was working on some project but he set it aside to examine my lamp. In 5 minutes he had it fixed. My fear was that he was going to say that it was unfixable. Unforetunatly I did not get his name.

Ordering online was easy and they had exactly what we were looking for - a Weber grill with free assembly and delivery. We ordered on a Monday and delivery was expected that Wednesday - so FAST. Well, we received a call from them on Tuesday indicating that they've assembled the grill and would we like it early/that day! Yes, please! They were there within an hour or so and brought it to the patio. We should have just ordered from Ace in the first place! Lesson learned.
