Dr. Rogers is artful in his craft, restoring smiles to hundreds of faces over the years. I have found myself spending more on the dentist than on my car over the years, but that's not just because the dentist's rates are high, (aren't they all?) but because I have a great car and terrible teeth. Dr. Rogers has promised me he can add to my partial plate as I lose more teeth, rather than having to make a whole new one, saving lots of money, so I'm sticking with Smiles by Design for the long haul. When you've found someone who exceeds expectations with his artful skills, you stay with them. Remember, Dr. Rogers is still in business because he leaves his patients happy and satisfied for the most part, in spite of what a few clients may have experienced years ago. And Karla, the new hygienist, is a delight. Speedy and gentle, and extra congenial. She's an asset to the office.

Joyce at the front desk is a joy to work with when scheduling our 6 month cleanings and any follow up appointments. Through the years, my husband and I have had some extensive dental work that included root canals, wisdom tooth extraction, implants, and crowns. Dr. Rogers always makes it a pleasant experience. He has advanced dental technologies where he is able to craft a crown or implant right in the office. Did I mention he is also great with kids? My son needed a palate expander and braces. Dr. Rogers explained the process thoroughly and made the experience a pleasant one. He always makes our smiles brighter. We love Dr. Rogers!

So, instead of correcting the work done on the partial, he took an automatic file tool and filed down all of my front lower teeth in just a few seconds without informing me on what he was going to do! Now my front lower teeth are ruined where he filed them down exposing filled cavities and horrific filing marks on all of my front lower teeth. Now I have to seek a QUALIFIED dentist to repair over six front lower teeth at my own expense! They went above and beyond "normal" procedure. And as for my dental procedure, it was the easiest and smoothest process. don't think I have ever experienced such quality care from a doctors office. Doctor Langan worked so gently that I literally didn't feel any pain and was surprised when he announced that procedure was over. They are really nice, pleasant people. However its still small town backwoods dental care. Their…read moreequipment and practice is outdated (my new dentist showed me the diff between their X-rays and newer ones and it was significant) so they do not have a preventative approach and therefor missed a lot in my mouth--only told me I needed to replace fillings by the time that was the most extensive pressing in my mouth, and do the lid fashioned eyeball approach vs using advanced tech. I ended up with extensive preventable decay (cavities in all my molars) and may even need to get a root canal now in one of those leaky filling teeth even though I had been seeing them regularly. They just don't have the contemporary resources to be comprehensive and avoid issues before they're huge enough to see. They also still regularly use Mercury/amalgam fillings and have heavily promoted fluoride paraphernalia in the office (to their credit no one was aggressive or pushy towards me about it, they were very professional and easy going). But it's something to keep in mind perspective wise if you're seeking a dentist. Good for cleanings but for anything else in my experience it's worth the trip to Scranton (or even Hawley). Teeth are for life. They're great people but this is my honest review. My difference in experience between here and my new place in Clark Summit was night and day.
