For baldwins the price was 5.45 a sq ft for carpet and installation and kellys carpet the one we liked was 8. Baldwins sent a guy out to measure and when he got back to shop owner called right away complaining about going up a 6ft ladder to a deck which is easiest, best way to enter the house for roll of carpet and wasn't being nice and did not handle it the right way. Being a conctractor myself that is not the way you talk to a customer. So the estimate from Kelly's was 2600 for instal on carpet at 8 a square ft and baldwins was 3300 for 5.45 a sq ft. Both are exact same room. Math doesn't add up there. The owner almost doubled the price cause he didn't want to do the job. I would stay away from baldwins but if you do end up going there deal with David and not the owner don. Save some money and headache and go somewhere else like NFM who carry's same carpet for cheaper and no problems.

The floor needed repair and leveling before the replacement fridge could go in - and Dan came the afternoon we called, offered advice on the range of the repair, floor section replacement, and likely estimates. Within a couple of days, he scheduled a super nice and competent repairman/finisher -- Isaiah -- to do the work. Not only was the work completed in timely and absolutely professional fashion, but the final invoice was HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS LESS than the estimate. Honest, professional work, billed for just the time and materials it took. !! What a great team! We recommend FCI without reservation, and will definitely call them again for any floor repairs or rug covering work. I used Matt Petit and Acme to clean and stretch the carpets in my house. He appeared professional…read moreand courteous when he came over for the estimate and was pleasant to deal with. He gave me a quote to clean and stretch the carpets and was easy to schedule with to have the work done. He did a good job on the cleaning and stretched most of the problem areas. I wasn't present when he did the work but noticed after it was done that he had missed a section of carpet in the hallway that was rolled up right in front of a closet door. I called Matt to tell him that I was happy with the cleaning and the stretching but that he had missed a spot and the carpet was still rolled up. He asked me where the roll was and I told him. He said that he didn't see it and that his quote included everything that he stretched. Keep in mind that he cleaned the carpets too so I am not sure how he can claim that he didn't see it but mistakes do happen. I was hoping that he would offer to make it right but that didn't happen. He told me that if I wanted to have the carpet in front of the closet stretched that I would have to pay him to come back out and fix it. No thanks, if you can't do the job correctly the first time, don't expect me to pay you to a second time.. It's not like I called to ask him to fix an extra floor or room that wasn't originally discussed but apparently in his mind if he didn't see it then he shouldn't have to fix it. Lesson learned. I was planning on being a repeat customer but given the poor customer service, I will take my business elsewhere the next time that I need my carpets cleaned.
