We replaced the carpet in our 2000 square foot basement after we experienced some flooding due to all the rains Omaha got this year. He and his crew tore out all the pad, carpet, glued down new tack strip and prepped for the install. Then laid the carpet in half the basement one day in order to allow us time to move the furniture and other stuff back outa the way to then lay the carpet on the rest of the basement. Then came back a few days later to finish the job. We trusted him to be in our house while we weren't around, the mark of a really trustworthy contractor. They also did a great job on the stairs as well (including fixing a very annoying squeak). Can't recommend enough, they did a great job for a fair price.

Mike's got great crews, great product, and prices. After we installed the upstairs, Mike got the carpet in the basement (Roger did an amazing job with that install) and when we got the back room remodeled Mike leveled the floor and installed hardwood that gave the perfect finish to that room and flood recovery. Installer cut…read moreflooring too short, ripped it in another spot, and was constantly running in and out of the house with their phone, fussing with a vehicle out front on the street. When we called the owner, he came to the house and was rude and arrogant. His wife came as well and offered to purchase a new piece of the same vinyl, which was the right thing to do, but he stifled her and only offered another piece of vinyl from their own stock OR they could send a different installer. Considering all the delayed communication, dragging out every effort to get things done, we ended up opting to hire a new installer from another company. As I write this, it's still debatable whether the new installer can fix the rip and incorrect cut or if we will have to purchase another sheet. Either way, we would not recommend this company. The ONLY good thing to be said is that the owners wife was very nice and had good customer service sense. It's too bad that he doesn't share the same character traits.

Beware Lincolnites! In a nutshell: CarpetLand had unacceptable customer service (post-installation)…read moreand very low quality control with wood floor installation. The owner is rude and will not work with you if you have problems with installation. We had an installer who did not use good judgement in installing our wood floor. More than a dozen planks he glued down (we do not have a subfloor) were visibly damaged and defective. I think 99% of people would discard these particular planks -- or at the very least, set them aside for a closet or other less visible area. The guy's response to our concerns: "That's just how it is." It is not like we ran the risk of not having enough wood... he either didn't pay attention to amount of wood available or simply didn't care about quality. We ended up with an entirely unopened box of leftover wood that clearly could have been used, but instead, the installer decided to permanently install damaged wood. After a long delay, 2 guys came back out to "fix" some of the problems. The putty just makes it look dirty and gross texture that will inevitably attract dirt and dog hair. Sigh... why!?? It is so disappointing to have saved up, waited for so long to have our "forever floor" put in -- and now have it be messed up. It was expensive -- and a lot of this turmoil could have been avoided with more common sense. To top it off, the owner was not responsive to phone calls --- and was super rude to my husband when he was finally was able to get a hold of him. I do NOT recommend CarpetLand. The poor quality control and disrespectful treatment is NOT worth the slightly lower bid they gave us we had compared to other local vendors.
