Our building is the largest condo building in Oak Park, and it was built not quite 100 years ago. All brick and terra cotta, so one can imagine the restoration that needed to be done. Robert Reese may just be the most knowledgeable brick guy in the U.S., and no one takes brick and stone restoration more serious than he does. Add to this his experienced crew of workers, who are also experts in the field of brick and stone restoration, not to mention extremely courteous and down right friendly, and you have the best masonry company in all of Chicagoland. Thanks to Robert Reese and his crew, our building will stand the test of time for another hundred years to come and it looks beautiful! AAA 1 Masonry and Tuckpointing is the "BEST"!

Called the guy that came to our property a few days later, said he'll finish up our quote in a few days. Another week passed and we called again, he was ghosting us. I tried repeatedly to get in touch with someone for a quote! Imagine if I hired them and had to contact them about a problem. No thanks. Thanks for wasting three weeks of my time.

I would recommend these guys to anyone I know. They removed our concrete sidewalk in our backyard…read morewithin a couple hours. They poured concrete, stamped it, and built steps. They talked about our vision with my husband and me and made suggestions to secure longevity. Their work turned out beautiful! There was great communication throughout, everything was reasonably priced, and everyone was extremely kind. We have used 2 different companies for concrete projects in the past, and this was, by far, the best outcome we've had. I will call The Gomez Brothers for any future projects we may have. I can't recommend them enough!

We hired Gomez Brothers Concrete to install our driveway in June 2024. Unfortunately, within only a…read morecouple of months, the concrete began spalling and crumbling, and the deterioration has continued to get progressively worse. What has been even more frustrating is how this has been handled since. The owner acknowledged the problem and signed a written contract agreeing to remove and replace the damaged driveway. Despite that agreement, he has repeatedly scheduled times to complete the work and then failed to show up. This has happened time and time again, with promises that the driveway would be taken care of but no resolution. We have given the company numerous opportunities to honor the agreement and correct the problem. At this point, we have been forced to pursue other avenues to try to get the situation resolved. A driveway is a significant investment, and I would strongly encourage anyone considering this company to ask very specific questions about their workmanship guarantee and, more importantly, what happens if something goes wrong after the job is completed. I will update this review if the company follows through on the signed agreement and resolves the issue.

If you're looking for a professional, responsive and competitively priced contractor, stop looking…read more My concrete front porch and steps had rusted out and was no longer safe to use. I did my research and contacted several contractors who made appointments to visit and provide a quote. Needless to say, most weren't interested I guess, because several didn't show up after making appointments or when they did their quotas were ridiculously high. Eduardo of Eagle Roofing & Masonry was by far the most professional and responsive contractor I've ever dealt with and I'm a Director of Operations for a high rise! Most importantly, after completing the project, there were a couple of minor issues, but Eduardo was more than happy to come back and take care of them. Lastly, Eagle Roofing is the kind of contractor you've been looking for.

Update! Its been two winters and part of the walkway has not…read moreheld up. When I let Eduardo know, he went back and forth with me via text for about 39 minutes saying I used salt on the concrete. That was it, he took no accountability, just that I used salt and ruined my own walkway I spent thousands on. He then offered to see it in person (which he should have just said in the first place) and told me over and over I used salt during the winter. Anyone who knows me knows that I wouldn't use salt and in fact have been using sand. He asked to see the bag, I brought it up and then he said, I was using salt. He then asked how many people live in the building (not important, the city sidewalk doesn't look like this, neither does the walkway in the back, which is decades old). It was really weird and he took absolutely no accountability for what might have happened, as I only stated the work was not aging well. He just kept saying he did a good job, etc and that I used salt. After all of that, he said he could fix it (sir, you should have led with that). The price he gave was high and ultimately I didn't think I should have to pay more for work that didn't really hold up after 2.5 years. So just know if you get concrete work and it looks bad after a few years, he'll blame you over and over before finally offering an expensive solution.

Despite the intermittent rain, they worked quickly and efficiently. What was once a hardly used backyard is now a well-designed and highly used patio area where my husband can grill and we can enjoy eating summer meals, relaxing in hammocks, or sitting out on our patio chairs under the shade.
