Very Honest people that have emergency hours!…read more I just finished a major remodel of our seasonal residence including new plumbing, electrical and A/C in Key West. The A/C just quit working on a Saturday. I called several companies including the company that installed the new unit to discover none of them offered emergency service on the weekend. I just stumbled on to American Cooling Service and after leaving them a message with their LIVE answering service, Eric (the Tech) called me back within 10 minutes. Eric arrived within 20 minutes and had the problem fixed shortly thereafter. The problem was the A/C drain line clogged which apparently a common problem in Key West. Eric explained in detail how to prevent the line from clogging in the future. I need to add that the General Contractor nor the A/C company that installed the new A/C unit gave me no guidance on how to maintain the drain line. On with the story, Eric present me with a large bill and I thought that was the price that needed to be paid for great service on a weekend. To my amazement, I got a call first thing on Monday morning from the owner of American Cooling Service apologizing that they over changed me for the service and he would be refunding $200. How great is that! It's tough to find an A/C contractor that gives great service and are honest in Key West. I have found my A/C contactor and will call them in the future for service. I will also recommend American Cooling Service to anyone.

At the first sign of distress with the A/C, Mr. Curry stopped answering my calls for repair. The unit is a little over a year old. Curry does not stand behind his work. He does not answer my calls, he refuses to engage in his promised warranty work. Look, there are MANY A/C companies in Key West that I *should* have contracted. But Curry seemed legit. He was a local and I thought I could trust him. I enjoy helping local businesses... ...however, I should have hired a crew from Miami.
