My family has lived at this property for decades, the landlord/owner has known me since I was 9yrs old--I call him Grandpa. Throughout the years, we have maintained a longstanding relationship with the property owner. Unfortunately, since Key Property Management took over less than a year ago, my experience with Imelda has been nothing short of disappointing.
In my personal experience, Imelda is one of the most unprofessional and discourteous property managers I have ever encountered. Her approach to communicating with residents often comes across as rude, condescending, demanding, and unnecessarily confrontational.
There is a significant difference between enforcing property rules and speaking to residents with basic respect and professionalism. Being in a position of authority does not give anyone the right to be dismissive, make assumptions, or approach situations with unnecessary hostility.
What I find especially disappointing is the apparent lack of courtesy, patience, and willingness to communicate respectfully. A property manager should be someone residents can approach with concerns, not someone whose communication creates additional frustration and tension.
I fully understand that property management comes with responsibilities, policies, and difficult conversations. However, professionalism, fairness, and respectful communication should always be the standard, regardless of the circumstances.
After decades of living here, it is unfortunate that my family's experience with the current management has been so unpleasant. Respect is a two-way street, and a title or position does not place anyone above treating others with dignity.
Imelda would benefit from taking a closer look at how she can communicate with longtime residents. Professionalism should never be optional. read more
