Excellent easy location that delivers. It's a little bit pricey but the delivery service is excellent.

The good is the Expensive but the people, are very helpful as wet as very friendly . As for the prepared foods they are not only expensive but the salads like Tuna, and Chicken are filled with mayonnaise, and very watery. The other products are a bit higher than the other Supermarkets but at least you don't have to wait on those long lines. read more

This is for the cashiers: This is my third visit. If you bring your own bag, they will not bag your groceries for you. You're on your own. There were no customers behind me, they just crack their knuckles and let me do it myself. There was an old lady customer at the checkout next to me, and they made her do it herself too. Sad! read more

Local with a pretty good selection of groceries. Sometimes a little more expensive but being local and close to home E makes it palatable. read more

Their deli salads are swimming in mayonnaise. They do not know how to prepare any salad. My friend bought a turkey burger this week and it was hard, old and tasted rancid . They must have kept it there for a week. Do not go to the deli counter!! You may get sick . Worst deli in Long Beach . Everyone complains but they do nothing about it . read more

Nice service clean store convenience near my home. Easy checkout smiling faces when served at the cold cuts and salads departmen

I love my Key! I depend on this store. Everyone who works there, at all levels, is lovely. I often cannot reach the mac and cheese, and there is invariably someone to help me. The prices are not that bad.. Everyone is affected by inflation. I get the impression that the company is trying not to pass costs on to the consumers. Can you order the Polar diet double fudge soda? read more

This store is terrific! The staff, especially Cello (manager) and Carmen (deli manager) will go the extra mile to accommodate their customers. The butchers are always ready to help with a meat order. The meat is excellent quality. Every staff member is polite and friendly (I always have to ask someone to take down something for me and they drop everything to do it). The store is small but the product variety is really pretty good. Produce always fresh, and again, with helpful staff members. Cashiers are friendly and efficient. Altogether, a nice shopping experience. Very good deli, with delicious hot foods and homemade salads. Overall, the prices are a bit higher, but the convenience and quality are worth it. So glad we have this store here in Long Beach! Many thanks. read more

The quality of their deli department is very good. The service at the deli department is very poor. Their meats and their paltry price well good quality. The cashiers are very attentive and pleasant. One thing to be leery of their pricing on the shelf and on the product is not always what comes up on the register. Always check your receipt because there's a percentage of the time you're overcharged. And one time my son picked up a package of chicken that was marked incorrectly in his favor brought it to the register and wouldn't abide by New York state law on what its priced that's what you pay for. They took it back and went to charge them what the price should be. The store is nice and clean all the time read more

The "Ass" as some will call it is a higher end, but not so high end grocery store in the East End on LB. It's one of two in the East End and your other choice being Waldbaums, the service here is nothing special by any means and for the most part average at best. As far as selection goes they have a very good deli department that includes Boars Head product, some fresh made selections and some smoked fishes and such. Also they have a sushi area that's made fresh on premises and is actually pretty good for a grocery store. Overall this is usually my back up choice for when I need something in a pinch or am in the need for deli items, the prices are a little on the higher side as compared to a big box store. The only value for me is the deli dpt, and the meats are decent as well. read more

Key Food - Grocery Near Me - Long Beach, New York

Key food is a great grocery store that I ve been shopping since 1971! Great selection of cooked food, great fresh meat and chicken, it's always clean and workers are so helpful. I will always shop here. Great gourmet items too! Love it read more

We are fortunate to have a small grocery store in the neighborhood, especially during the global health crisis. Been shopping here since the early Associated days and have a nice rapport with employees who recognize me when I'm shopping. Meat department always holds a small fresh turkey breast for me at Thanksgiving tine. Deli is well stocked and has a great variety of store-made salads, roasted deli meat, entrees, etc. by the pound. A nice selection of ethnic foods, as well. read more

This is the local grocery store on the East End of Long Beach and I must say the customer service at this location is horrible. It is a small store that is a little run down!!!!! I agree with another poster who said since the Change from Associated to key food the quality seems a bit off. The staff is extremely unfriendly will not respond to you asking where an item is located needless to say I will never step foot into this place again. read more

This is a great grocery store and I am always grateful that it is in business. The folks are friendly and courteous. They're very kind helping me reach items on upper shelves. Appreciated by short people. read more

So you shop here for a while and you enjoy the quirky products, the lack of a crowd, the location... but then they run out (or don't stock) a major item that you need forcing you to go down the road to the Waldbaums. When you walk in it's like a utopia of products. Huge veggie/fruit aisles. WAY cheaper products. There's no coming back here. Sorry, Key Food. If you're forcing me to go down the road to the other market for many items, I think I'll just head there first from now on. read more

This is for the Long Beach WEST END store. The prices at this store are off the charts. Their Bubba burgers and yogurt pops are 50% higher than any other store. The selection is poor. read more

Everytime I buy a piece of meat from this place it's is brown and smells. They must change the label to make sure it still sells even though it's bad. Also when chicken goes bad in the meat department they cook it and sell it in the deli department. read more

Great selection throughout the store. A little pricey, but I was able to find everything I needed and some things that have been difficult to find elsewhere. The only staff-member I interacted with was the check-out clerk and she could definitely use some basic customer service training. My experience wasn't horrible enough to keep me from coming back, but I'll probably try other grocers before going back. read more

I think this place is over-priced - BUT they do have a good selection of cheeses, vegetables and other speciality items that (while not impossible to find) can be a little out of the norm if you want to cook up a nice meal to impress someone coming over. I mean, not that I ever do that, but if I wanted to and needed say, various mushrooms and gourmet cheeses to stuff a chicken with and slap together some risotto, I could probably get everything I needed here. I'd have to hock some of my diamonds for it, but whatevs, thats the price we pay. Sidenote: some of the people that work here are f-cking hilarious. Typical long beach kids with snarky, yet funny comments. read more

This East End LB female KeyFood deli counter worker is the worst! Not only is she not friendly, she try's to rip you off every time. I mentioned to the Mgr last time that she charged me DOUBLE and he changed the price, but today all 3 cold cuts I ordered were on sale for $5.99 lb but for each one she did it again and tried to charge me $9.99 lb. I could see making 1 mistake, but 3 times (Ham, provolone and American cheese) on the same order? FOLKS, CHECK YOUR DELI ORDER PRICES! read more

Well I finally got it......A STANDING OVATION for my Brisket. I must admit, I usually go to a butcher for my Holiday Brisket (Pot Roast). This year I ran out of time. I decided to try my Key Food in Long Beach. The butcher actually came out and told me "not to worry". Next thing I knew I had a gorgeous 8 lb lean piece of Brisket. My company raved.....my 3 sons gave me a Standing Ovation. Thank you Key Food!!!! JB Long Beach read more

I'd give 0 stars if i could. The customer service is horrible. All the girls have serious attitude problems and they get bent out of shape if you ask for any help. Its a shame. I'd rather spend more and travel the extra 2-3 blocks to Stop & Shop. read more

This place has most items you need from your grocery list and I would have scored higher except for these two points: 1] they got rid of the frozen Baked Clams which are more expensive at Walbaum's and more importantly, 2] the sale items DO NOT come off or even register upon check out - you have to be CONSTANTLY vigilant that you are being charged correctly. Often the sales items have not been programmed so you are paying the FULL price for sales items. BUYER BEWARE. read more
