I ended up paying around $5,000 for those repairs. Two weeks after picking up my car, it was still leaking oil. At that point, after already spending a significant amount of money and time without resolving the original issue, I was told the vehicle needed an entirely new engine. I ultimately had no choice but to leave the car there. This experience was extremely frustrating and disappointing. Well we had just replaced the spark plugs through Cavender Kia, paid a whole lot for the tune up, so I thought they were trying to pull something. I sent my hubby over and he watched them pull out all the spark plugs and they were never replaced. Needless to say Cavender got an earful and Taylor's got a customer for life!! I work at a Toyota dealership and can get good prices here plus we live quite far away now but we still take our vehicles to Taylor's and when my folks come from west Texas, their truck goes there too. Over $3,400. I told them I only wanted the actuator replaced, since it's a simple fix. They agreed that would save money, but their "reduced" estimate was still over $1,100. I said I'd think about it, drove straight over, picked up my truck, and dropped it off somewhere else. The next morning, everything was fixed for $246.81. I don't mind paying to repair my vehicles, but trying to upsell thousands of dollars in unnecessary work is crooked. I would steer clear of this place.

1 STAR - AVOID AT ALL COSTS…read more I trusted Seymour's Garage with my primary work truck for an engine rebuild that cost me $9,677.11. What followed has been one of the most stressful and unprofessional experiences I've ever had with a repair shop. Within weeks of picking up the truck, it began losing oil at an alarming rate. I had to return it, where they admitted an oil leak related to their rebuild--but still charged me for oil. The problem never stopped. The engine was clearly defective from the start. On December 17, the truck broke down again in Austin and had to be towed back to San Antonio. After another mechanic advised there was a serious internal engine failure, Seymour's took the truck back on December 19, repeatedly telling me for weeks that this was being handled under warranty and that I needed to "be patient." After months of assurances, I was suddenly told the warranty would not be honored and that I would need to buy a completely new engine. No explanation. No documentation. Just a reversal of everything they had told me. During my most recent phone call with Matthew, the situation turned outright hostile. He became aggressive, told me to "come and get your f**ing truck,"* and then hung up on me. At the same time, he threatened to leave my truck outside on the street, even though it is not operable and is still in their possession. As of today, they still have my truck. DON'T GO HERE!! THEY ARE CROOKS!!…read more Don't ever go here. They performed a faulty oil change on my car, not securing the oil plug. It eventually completely fell out and destroyed the engine resulting in the need for a completely new engine for a car that has 10K milage. The cost: 12K+ for a new engine. But their central office refuses to take responsibility, claiming that their warranty was voided when Hyundai diagnosed the car because they could have fooled with it. THEY WILL PROBABLY TREAT YOU WITH THE SAME DISREGARD!!
