To think where we would be without Liz at Carolina Canine Training is scary! Like everyone else we…read moregot a puppy and thought we could manage with the training ourselves with just a typical puppy class. You know the story.... Life got in the way and our efforts were just not making the cut.... it was time to turn to a Professional! Thinking about leaving our "baby" in the care of someone else for 4 whole weeks was a bit scary at first! As soon as Banks met Liz and seemed to just melt around her all of our fears were quickly gone! Liz has the presence where dogs just know to respect her :) 4 weeks later Banks was walking on a leash well enough for a toddler to walk him, had learned how to "Place" on his bed and went into his Kennel with ease. He no longer jumped all over us and had a sense of calm about him we had never seen before. I only wish I would have taken a Before video as the changes were that remarkable. Banks is a very smart dog but we were very amazed at the things he was able to master in his 4 weeks at Carolina Canine Training. I can't recommend this team enough and am so thankful we have a place to send our next puppy!! I wonder if they take kids too? ;) Oh, and we loved all of the updates we received via email, text and phone. I'm pretty sure the hardest part of dog training might be dealing with the parents!

I would like to address these issues that I witnessed on the I-dog webcams at Camp Wagging Tails…read moreyesterday (June 16). Your staff, by far, was underwhelming and I felt so sorry for the dogs who looked like they were craving attention and love from your handlers. I did not see any offered, except by one person who gave attention to a small dog who was with the little dog group. I actually saw the opposite with handlers removing dogs from their laps and holding their arms away from dogs who only wanted affection. I saw dogs being sprayed with water bottles from behind, I saw a dog being sprayed just because he came close to a handler to get attention. I saw handlers basically just sitting and I saw dogs sitting. I saw a black dog being bullied, rolled, and pinned as the staff did nothing. One staff member walked by the poor black dog being pinned and just looked straight ahead. I consider this to be negligence. I personally thought this dog was too small to be with large dogs. (I hope the owner of this dog was watching on the webcam). I saw no engagement by staff, and it was just so sad because the dogs clearly wanted physical petting. I saw handlers on their phones, and they flat out looked like they'd rather be anywhere other than with dogs. I saw many of the dogs standing or sitting because the handlers were sitting or walking around in circles picking up dog feces.. We go to a different doggy daycare regularly where the handlers run, and play and engage the dogs and the dogs run and play and they're happy. Maybe consider modeling after them? The only reason we came here was because our regular place gets very popular in the summer. These dogs did not look happy. This place seems to take unlimited number of dogs. I couldn't believe the number of dogs I saw in one group. Insane! We didn't come get our dog sooner from your facility because we were working. I do believe these dogs deserve better attention from handlers based on what their owner's pay for quality care. These handlers from what I could clearly see on the webcams (in every play yard) acted like the dogs were an annoyance to most of the time. Take your dog elsewhere. I took pictures for further reminder to us to not return.

I can't say enough good things about Off Leash K9 Training! Our trainer, Lindsey, was incredibly…read moreknowledgeable and made the entire process fun and engaging for both me and my pup, Ashe. Ashe at 6 months of age can be a bit of a handful , but Lindsey took the time to understand his behavior and tailored the training to his needs. After just two weeks, we noticed Ashe's confidence soar. Ashe is now much better behaved at the park, and he's responding wonderfully to commands like "sit," "place," "heel," and "come." This is the second dog I put through Off Leash K9 Training, and they truly help build trust between you and your pup. It allows you to take your pup into the world and enjoy life rather than sitting at home alone. I also love how Lindsey emphasizes the importance of consistency and makes sure we're practicing the right way at home. I feel so much more confident as a dog owner, and Ashe seems happier too! I highly recommend Off Leash K9 Training of Charlotte to anyone looking to strengthen the bond with their dog and improve both their quality of life and behavior!

She edited her videos so we could see a lot of what they worked on each day. Claire really understood Shadow and his needs. At pick up, she did a great job explaining everything to us, guiding us on how to follow through at home, and loving on Shadow one last time. You could tell he was sad to leave her. Claire was so encouraging and loving towards him. Shadow's been home less than a week and because of Claire, he is behaving so much better. He's been able to off leash and not jump on people he's greeting. Thank you so much Claire and Off Leash K9 Charlotte!

I looked at the owner's website www.camp-ruff.com which describes their facility as a "lux camp" for dogs and puppies. I was intrigued and called for an appt to view the property and see the operations. I was met by the Camp Director/Owner, a delightful, sincere woman named Lucinda. She greeted me and my dog and proceeded to show me the camp home, which is divided into sections based on the needs and behaviors of the various dogs she was boarding. She listened to my description of my dogs needs, habits and observed her to judge how she would behave w other dogs. One by one she let a dog out from the house, where they have their "sleep over", cautiously to see what my dog would do. As the animals were about my dog's size everyone seemed to accept each other. Great news! Lucinda decided to take the next step by taking my dog w the small pack for some exercise on the trail in the woods behind the house. The dogs were running around having a great time which relieved my anxiety that my dog might not like to be off leash but she was running and getting some great exercise and learning to enjoy the pack mentality. No fighting or misbehaving, perfect! Lucinda works tirelessly to pamper the pooches morning and night. Morning feedings, evening feedings, medications and always careful observations of the pets. They all sleep like happy babies when the day ends in a real home environment. Prices are in line and reasonable I think for an overnight stay of $44 including feeding, walking, playtime and careful observation by someone who is highly qualified and very knowledgeable of pet behavior. All animals come in contact w other pets only when owner has documentation for boarding such as rabies vaccination, bordetello. This place is a well thought out and safe place to leave your precious pet while you are away. So relax, they got your back!
