I love going here the family owned place is full of laughfter and they own the gas station next door which is also friendly. Wheather your looking to fish or even just sight see there is a lot to see here and the rooms are getting remodeled. The price is right. They also have bbqs to set with your room.

The place is clean and comfortable. If you just need a place to sleep after a long, hard day, this place will be fine. The place is VERY short on amenities. Extremely basic cable.... food channel, QVC and that's about it. Bring a power strip if you want to plug anything in. You don't have many lodging options out this way so you need to make the best of the choices available.

They keep the park and facilities in excellent condition from the potted flowers at the entrance to the immaculately maintained park grounds. My husband hates our small shower so he loves the large comfortable and super clean park showers and bathrooms. Mark and Amanda are not 9-5 managers. They're up at the crack of dawn until late in the evening when Mark takes a final tour of the park before turning in. It's very comforting that they are there to help with any problem and are discernable regarding guest management. The park grounds are shaded by beautiful gigantic old trees and the parking spot is graveled so no tracking in grass clippings or mud and no asphalt puddles on rainy days. It is very conveniently located near the junction of highways U.S. 395 and Wa.25. There is a large grassy immaculately maintained and enclosed dog park for running off energy. And, a large open fire pit for guests to gather bringing their own chairs to share in the glow of a large campfire and friendly conversation. Both amenities provide early to bed types peace and quiet. The toughtful design of the park provides both congeniality and quiet privacy at the same time. The park is spacious and plenty of room to park your vehicle in front. Mark and Amanda have many new plans for Columbia Pines and we love their energy, optimism and affection for the Kettle Mountains as do we! The WIFI worked adequately but there is no cable tv only HDMI. We are delighted that Mark and Amanda love the area and plan to stay with Columbia Pines/Grandview. We look forward to seeing them again in September, they're wonderful hosts you can always count on to make your stay great. If you've never visited the Kettle Mountains or fished the many dozens of nearby lakes, you've been missing a special treasure. The lakes are generously stocked with Rainbow trout and some carry bass and pan fish. The upper Columbia is known for it's walleye, BIG trout, bass, pan fish and of course the mighty sturgeon in season. If you rv, check out Columbia Pines/Grandview, you won't regret it. Once you visit, you'll return again and again. There's nothing like fishing on a small lake, just yourself, the eagle or osprey, songbirds, and whatever big mammal that might pop out of the woods. We've never been disappointed and have returned again and again and have already made our reservations for this fall.

She was rude and actually left me in tears. Insisted that I was the thief, and that I must return the pillow. I would never take anything from a hotel. She left me feeling just awful about the whole situation and never even considered that this could easily have been a mistake. I returned to the hotel to possibly speak with the manager, in which Jackie told me that she was not available and she could not be contacted directly. After calling me a thief again, I suggested that maybe she or the staff could have misplaced the pillow and she told me to leave and called the police! I was not aggressive in anyway. My boss called to try and talk to her and she hung up on him as well. I honestly would have paid for the pillow, but it was out of principle that I would not because of how I was treated as scum AND the fact that no, I did not take the darn pillow. Do not expect to be treated with respect here.. this place lost business today. And I have stayed here for 15 years. Wish I could give it zero stars. :( EDIT: I was contacted by the very sweet manager and she was very apologetic and refunded the falsely stolen pillow charge. I will be going back, for sure. Not sure where that leaves Jackie, but I hope she knows how hurtful her words were. Thanks so much to the GM!!

I didn't catch the names but EVERYONE was helpful, kind and took the time to answer questions. A real sense of family. I am normally a Hilton girl but the closest one is in Spokane and I didn't want to do that drive. She will take care of you and make sure you have everything you need for your night. The bed was extremely comfortable with a feather top mattress. Bathrooms were clean and room was clean as well. Saw the Mountain View Lodge listed on the ski areas web site and decided to give it a try. Great Location and Setting: 8 miles from the ski are meant a casual morning having breakfast and getting ready and still on the lifts by 9:00am. Located at the top end of a sloping pasture with great views out across the valley and surrounding mountains. Quiet, peaceful and the stars at night were amazing. While we were there for skiing this place would be great during any season of the year. Good Accommodations & Breakfast: I'm not a big fan of B&Bs and the Mountain View Lodge is more hotel with common great room than a traditional B&B. Stayed in the Canopy Room, nice, comfortable, roomy and nice view of the valley. I was concerned the Great Room might be the owner's living room and we'd feel like we were encroaching on their space but their living area is separated from the guest wing of the lodge and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect for what we wanted. Fresh fruit bowl with strawberries, kiwi and melon, yogurt, selection of breads and pastries, oatmeal, granola, cold cereals, juices and coffee. Put out in the Great Room in the morning in the fridge and on a cart for self-service at your convenience. Several bistro style tables mean guests can decide where and how to sit. Great Hosts: Rose was awesome both prior to and during our stay.

A Diamond in the Rough! If you want to take your children or…read moregrandchildren to a "real" ranch, K-Diamond-K is the place to go ! The ranch was founded by hard-working Stephen & veterinarian June Konz in 1961. The present gorgeous large log cabin lodge and all its furniture was self-built by the Konz family between 2000-2008, and is now run by their eldest daughter Kathy (Konz) McKay, husband Brian McKay, and son Stephen McKay. This is the real deal when it comes to western ranches. They raise their own longhorn cattle. You couldn't ask for more ! My wife and I took two of our grandchildren to the ranch planning to spend three days from Thursday, July 31st 2025 to Sunday August 3rd 2025, and ended up extending our stay to August 4, 2025 because our grandchildren had so much fun. What can kids do at K-Diamond-K ? Read the signs and look at the pictures included with this review. This is "real" ranch life with a host that is brimming with smiles and spirit. Kids can rise at 7 am (Don't worry, your excited kids will be waking you up !) to feed the baby animals and gather some fresh eggs from the chicken coop. Then they can accompany owner, Kathy, on her ATV to the ranch's lower valley to milk Kathy's cow Rosebud. Rosebud delivers 3 gallons of milk every morning and every evening, and you will become an expert milker after a short time. Then around 7:30 am, the kids can accompany Kathy on her ATV to round up the ranch's ~50 horses that have been grazing in the lower valley overnight and herd them back to the corral by the lodge. Breakfast is served at 8 am. After breakfast, your kids can brush and love-on a horse and go for a horseback ride on the ranch's 1,600-acre property at 9:30 am or enjoy a completely different ranch activity. Lunch is served at 12:30 pm. Each day is spent doing "exactly what you want to do". The ranch has all the facilities and gear you need for any activity you desire (riding boots, hats, gloves, ropes for roping, biking, fishing, archery, a pickle ball court and a basketball hoop, or just plain relaxing on one of the ranch decks, or on the front lawn lounge chairs). You get three delicious meals a day and will never be hungry. Kathy, cook Chloe, and wranglers Madeleine and Evelyne truly worked as a team during our visit. By the way, the cream in your coffee and the ice cream dessert you enjoy at meal time all come from Rosebud ! So, if you haven't made ice cream before, you can see how its done ! Our grandchildren immediately loved feeding the miniature pigs, milking Rosebud twice a day (they had never milked a cow before), and accompanying Kathy on her daily ritual of herding the horses to the corral in the morning and back to the valley in the evening. They also very much enjoyed the large outdoor trampoline in front of the lodge. We went horseback riding, fishing at Swan Lake, visited the ranch's abandoned gold mine, panned for gold, spent time in the petting zoo, and enjoyed mountain biking. We also played many fun games in the lodge. The kids particularly liked scrabble and the foosball and air hockey tables in the basement. Every evening after dinner, the kids would go to the outdoor trampoline, play games, and sit around the large outdoor campfire to make smore and identify the planets and constellations with the help of our phone's "Skyview" app. Our grandchildren also made some new friends at the ranch and exchanged emails with them to hopefully see them again on a future visit !

Halfway thru our stay another large group came without reservations and wanted to stay, we were asked to go back to the original room assignments which we did. During our stay, food was mediocre at best, as the weeks progressed, less and less of it was cooked at dinner time, good choices decreased. At check out time, the owner then decided that the negotiated price for the stay was not enough and tried to raise our final payment. This due to the fact that for half our stay we used twice the rooms. The main hall was dusty and there were a lot of flies. Garbage cans were rarely emptied. Disgusting place. I did notice that Yelp deleted my original review of this dump so I had to post again.
