I have been to this resort every single season of the year, and every single season has something to offer. The wild life are amazing. The owner goes above and beyond to make her guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. I was especially impressed with what this resort had to offer. There is something for everyone: vacation rentals, RV parking, and campsites. The best part was that I was able to bring my horses. There was an outdoor arena, trails, and much more. I never had to worry about anything. She was the expert on site when I had an issue with my horse. It was real simple and we got it figured out. That night we saw deer grazing out back and it snowed overnight. We woke up to a beautiful scene which included a few people ice skating on the frozen pond. We were in the Kipling suite which had a jet tub big enough for two people to swim is. It had a mini fridge, microwave, small coffee maker with coffee. A definite off the norm place to relax. The owners went out of their way to make space for us by opening a renovated trailer ahead of schedule. Our stay at Blue Mountain Lodge was one of our best hotel experiences. I cannot stress enough how friendly and approachable the couple that owns this resort was. They were on site throughout our stay and delighted to advise us about the activities around town as well as quickly solve any issues that arose. The Lodge itself was delightfully clean, quiet and only a couple minutes walk from a small public beach (which a larger municipal beach a ten minute drive away). There is a large open grass area with a badminton net (Rackets and balls provided) and numerous toys for smaller and middle aged children. I also found the lodge to be affordable for the size and spaciousness of the rooms.

Several other families had dogs including several off leash running around... seemed friendly. After some time a very angry woman began yelling that no dogs were allowed on the beach. Signage all over the area and the only mention was dogs needed to be on leash. Went back inside and asked again and was told dogs were allowed but would call the owner. After talking with the owner, the woman who was yelling about no dogs on the beach, was told dogs west of the boat ramp was "OK"..when asked about the dog running loose was told "that's the owners dog..." Terrible manners and to yell at someone in front of friends and family was uncalled for.

A private washer and dryer tucked in a closet near the kitchenette. Pretty cool. Nice granite counter tops and stainless steel full size fridge. Full set of silver wear; including set of cooking knifes. Dish set and wine glasses all in their proper places throughout the kitchen cabinets. Again, didn't expect any of that and it came very handy. Great sofa set with love set. 2 Toshiba LCDs - one in bedroom and the other in the living room. Great private balcony with wicker furniture set - a table and 4 chairs with great view of the lake. In summary, Will be back!

Awesome staff here. The cabin was clean and well appointed. It had a grill and fire pit outside, with parking for one car. Inside, has everything you need, and all appliances and fans functional. Nice thick curtains for privacy, or you can pull curtains back and open windows. The cabin had units for heat/AC but we did not need. Coffee pot but no filters, however, the store had everything we needed. The off-season price was perfect but not sure I'd stay during higher summer rates, considering you have to bring your own bedding and make beds etc... Overall, lovely stay!
